"Ha ha! You call that a knife?"
- Kyro, just moments before killing a cocky pirate.
NAME: Kyro Deshra- Kyro, just moments before killing a cocky pirate.
FACTION: Mandalorian Dominion
RANK: Super Commando
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 23 standard years (28 after time skip)
GENDER: Male
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes but he refuses to acknowledge it.
APPEARANCE:
6'1, brown skin, thin but toned body. He's not the most intimidating madalorian, but he can certainly fit in with the rest. He usually wears a custom set of Mark II Armor that he painted black and orange in honor of house Skirata.
ATTRIBUTES:
Growing up as a Deshra, Kyro was raised to be an engineer from birth. He spent most of his formative years studying math, science, and tech, and as a result, he's smarter than the average Mando. That said, given his nerdy upbringing, he's not quite as strong as the others, although he can still hold his own in a brawl. His thin frame also makes him more agile than most warriors.
PERSONALITY:
Kyro is generally a pretty lax and friendly guy, but he can be a bit of a tech snob at times. He prefers to spend time working on his machines instead of talking to people and prides himself on knowing more about them than anyone else. That said he doesn't hate people, he just prefers the company of robots...Kyro is also fiercely loyal to his fellow mandalorians and is always happy to help one in need.
In general, Kyro tends to just go with the flow. He doesn't seek power or promotion and his happy following orders so long as it makes sense to do so. He's down to do just about anything that won't cause lasting damage to him. There is one thing he is truly serious about however, that being his ship, the Spitfire. Anyone who so much as scratches it will feel his full wrath, regardless if they are mandalorian or otherwise.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Concord Dawn to clan Deshra, Kyro was doomed to be a nerd from day one. His parents were determined to make him an engineer when he grew up, so they carefully organized his life. For the first 10 years of his life, they made him spend his days studying and his nights applying his knowledge with hands-on projects. They sent him to the best school in the area and refuesed to let him play with of the other children his age for fear that they'd somehow make him dumber. In fact, the only kids he could play with outside of school were his distant cousins, the Skirata. This however, would be their greatest mistake. Kyro quickly took a liking to the Skirata kids, especially to Donar, the warrior of the trio. Before long, Kyro began to look up to Donar much like an older brother, eventually wanting to become a warrior like him.
When Kyro was about 18 years old, he told his parents about his dream. Naturally, they shut him down and told him "The battlefield is no place for intelligent people." He argued with them, saying it was good enough for the Skiratas and many other mandalorains, but they wouldn't have it. His argument was shot down, and with that, they shipped him off to some big college on Coruscant. Kyro obeyed his parents wishes and set out to get his engineering degree, but he was still determined to become a real mandalorian some day. He spent his college days studying for exams and doing homework like everyone else, but he also took on more extra curricular activities. He started to party with the rich city kids build droids with the robotics teams. He even got into music mixing and composition. He began to realize that being a geek wasn't so bad and that his parents might've been right all along...
Years passed and he graduated. Now 22 he returned home to two proud, crying parents who hugged him and told him the good news. They'd got him a job at Dawnward Design Industries (DDI) with the Skirata girls and his cousin Nev Deshra. It looked like he would be designing tech for the rest of his days. He humbly accepted the job and went off to work with his cousins. DDI was a decent enough place, and he enjoyed the company of his family, but he quickly grew bored there. The designs he made were for mundane machines like farming equipment and public transport. Stuff that just about anyone could design without much difficulty. He would've quit if it weren't for Mere being around. The Omwati woman seemed every bit as smart as he was and the two would spend hours talking about their grand Ideas and designs. After a while, Kyro even developed a bit of a crush on her, but she soon quit to work for a private contractor.
Kyro spent the next year working for DDI. He spent most of his time building mundane machines like janitor droids and tractors, until Mere returned. At which point they were both assigned to star ship design. By now the Mandalorian Dominion was on the rise and Kyro began to feel the urge to fight again. Along with Mere, he soon quit his job at DDI and joined up with the Super Commandos. He was finally fighting for his people and his life was exciting once again.
