HoloNet News Kuat Condemns Imperial War On Jedi

Since the New Republic collapsed, planets returned to self governing. Kuat was always a survivor with the sheer economy it boasted, and the surrounding planets that were influenced as a result. The Senator of Kuat commanded an impressive amount of strength and respect. It had been a while since Trina Kalist’s face was splashed across HolonNet, but there couldn’t be a better time for it.

“The Core has suffered on many counts from the collapse of the New Republic,” She said, “Our Chancellor was compromised, our political alliances scattered to the winds, and the resources lining the bulwark of our centralized defense have all but disintegrated,” Her eyes narrowed as she gazed at the camera, “However, Kuat has always played a critical role in the Core’s efforts. As long as Kuat stands, so will the heart of the Core. As such, today I stand to support the call for a united front against Darth Raze’s actions. Kuat will mobilize its military and reserve forces to combat these enemies and assist with civilian support. I urge other worlds to come together to mount a defense that makes Darth Raze think twice before attacking one of our planets again.”

She paused there, “Furthermore, Kuat condemns the actions of the Empire in waging a war against the Jedi in a time of crisis. It has become abundantly clear that the Jedi are necessary to combat the horrors unleashed in the Core. The strike on Jedi by the Empire serves no purpose other than to satisfy Emperor Drast’s insatiable appetite for conquest. The Emperor is no different than the war mongering Sith Lords of the past and this ‘Empire’ is no different than the Sith Empire that terrorized the galaxy for years. I ask other governments and worlds to condemn these senseless actions and strongly urge the Emperor to reconsider his campaign. Sending refugee support means nothing when the Empire seeks to eradicate our best line of defense against Darth Raze and his armies.”

Emperor Emer-Drast written reply to Senator Kalist's accusations​

The Senator of Kuat wasted a lot of credits on buying a slot of primetime Galactic Broadcasting to make a general observation and then urge individual planets to condemn one of the senate's largest voting blocks over said subjective observation. Nevertheless the Imperial Diplomatic Corps followed shortly after, buying a broadcasting slot discreetly (through subsidiaries) playing footage of the Senator of Kuat being detained and imprisoned after a remarkable display on the senate floor. Was it show that the senator was prone to impulsive ill-thoughtout actions? Perhaps. Not that much later a written statement from the Emperor himself was send to Galactic newspapers.

"It was with considerable surprise that I learned of the statement of my former colleague, the senator of Kuat, and her misguided condemnation of my Empire's efforts against the very Force-sensitive orders that gave rise to the very beasts that she is herself trying to rally others to fight.

At no point has the Empire expressed a willingness to eradicate life and murder innocents. We are, as we've stated before, determined to end the horrors inflicted upon the galaxy by these religious orders.

No one will contest that countless of innocent people have died at the hands of the Jedi and Sith Orders.

In fact, even Darth Raze is a Sith. Many Jedi, once they taste the power in the Force, become Sith. What the senator of Kuat, my once esteemed colleague, seems to misjudge is that my Empire is doing this out of some misguided desire for conquest. I find such a baseless accusation to be abject and devoid of any truth. In reality, where the former Republic worlds like Kuat failed to protect its people, my Empire is making sure that it can.

Baseless accusations made out of an impulsive desire for chaos, hatred and war are the very reason that these religious orders, these Force monsters, have been allowed the room to grow and overpower.

As such, it is with heavy heart that I must condemn the words of Senator Kalist. Her passion is to be admired, but in the future, it might be best to think before you broadcast your passions to the galaxy.

As always, my Empire is devoted to the galaxy's safety, stability and prosperity. I offer refuge in Imperial territory and I offer protection from these very cults. Let my Empire be your safeguard against religious and impulsive persecution."

Like the last time, the rest of the space -which was sold mostly in its digital form- was used to provide rudimentary starmaps for civilian craft to be able to navigate the galaxy towards the Imperial western dominion. This avoided scalper prices by transportation corporations looking to benefit as they did whenever the senate started their humanitarian organizations.

Kuat was a titan of industry and rivaled the other great manufacturers of the galaxy. If the galaxy was rallying against Darth Raze then Hauron was motivated by it. He knew full well the dangers of the dark side and shared Senator Kalist's sentiments about the Jedi's necessity. He had kept his distance from the Jedi, not wanting to make the same mistakes he had on Ithor. But that did not change how he felt about the Order.

The private military corporation was small, fledgling even by some standards. It could be that the young Mikkian's word meant nothing. As Mandalorians they had a reputation of tenacity and the skill to back it up. If they were going to show up to a theater of war they would make sure to contribute in a memorable way. This could only be improved if they had Kuat as purveyor of ships. Ships or not, they would continue to fight the tyranny that seemed to be raring its ugly head.

The helmeted Mandalorian would have his name displayed below in aurebesh for those to read who were unfamiliar with him. Hauron felt it appropriate to make an address towards the Mandalorians under his command and this was also towards those on Kashyyyk, Mandalorian space or neighboring systems in the outer rim. The Rally Master had a five million bounty on his head but the transmission would be bounced around and also would probably not be reaching the entire galaxy like the Emperor's message had. But maybe it would be seen by some people somewhere.

If I could have your attention please. I'm no governor and I can't speak for all Mandalorians but I will speak on behalf of Rancor Squadron.

We might be mercenaries, soldiers of fortune that make our living off of conflict and combat. But the dangers that Darth Raze poses, the atrocities and evils he is willing to commit will be the end of the galaxy as we know it.

AMS, the Killiks and now these monsters are just the latest in a long list of threats that would be better dealt with if there is cooperation with the Jedi.

I, Hauron Solus of Rancor Squadron condemn the actions of Darth Raze, the Sith as well as the oppressive actions of the Empire who seek to eliminate our primary defense against these and future threats.

Blah, blah blah, bleh blah, bleh blah. All this political kriffing bantha fodder was making rue's head spin just watching it.

But by the manda, another transmission, this one was actually interesting, Spinning in her chair like a child, she was like a teenager on Snapchat.

And of all the things she could send to show support, recorded it, sent a god damn emoji.. and sent that message to her Boys. This bloke had a point, raze had to be opposed, in some way at least, and rue tepmuart was going to be damned if she wasn't going to join in on this in some way.

It wasn't exactly clear if it was the machinations of Darth Raze or the absurd and cruel crusade against the Jedi initiated by the Emperor that compelled Victoria to raise from her public seclusion.

"Like a roach the Empire clung to life at the mercy of President Thorne. It's vile wars of aggression were a thing of the past, proclaimed the new Emperor. Gone was the Sith Order, expelled and reduced to nothing by the emperor demanding an end to religious strife."

Perhaps there was some truth to the lie, some glory claimed. But the wheels of time churned and the war machine began rebuilding almost immediately.

"The Empire cannot survive without war, nor can it protect the galaxy without holding it at the barrel of a gun. It is simple fact, that continues to grow in truth the Jedi Order seeks to protect. The Sith and Empire, wither and control."

Victoria long had been an ally of the Jedi Order, having seen how often both the Sith and Empire feigned peace and prosperity, only to deliver death and terror. In her mind, President Thorne had not gone far enough to save the galaxy from their pestilence.

"Furthermore, the Empire must be destroyed."
