A stranger had come into the cantina on Taanab. Kruk spent most of his time there. The stranger asked the Rodian behind the bar if he knew a man by the name "Kruk Jaxx". The Rodian pointed to a side room where some patrons were playing Pazaak and said "Hes the pale one, with the drink in his hand". The stranger walked over and handed Kruk a holo-pad. He then turned and left the cantina.

Later that day after the festivities died down a bit, Kruk walked to an empty side room and turned the holo-pad on:

Kruk, this is going to seem very odd to you. You may be wondering who is writing you, but it is unimportant. All you need to know is that you have been brought to the attention of a group of people, and you are being summoned to Ossus. I must ask that you take a public shuttle at your earliest convenience, then travel to the Jedi Temple. I will find you there.

Kruk sighs. Then thinks to himself, Whats the worst that could happen? Without hesitation Kruk walks out of the cantina, and just a few miles to his small house. He locks the door, knowing he may not be back for a while. He gives his home one last look, then he walks back into the city to catch a shuttle.

The shuttle lands on Ossus, it is mid-day and the sunlight hurts Kruks eyes. He squints and stretches after the long flight. On the horizon he can see the Jedi Temple. He begins to walk. Eventually Kruk gets there, exhausted, he sits on the bottom step and waits patiently. Not sure what to expect.

((Just a tip, your sentences are really simple, some of them you can draw out so its not so choppy. Not saying it's bad, but something you can work on to improve your writing skills. With that.))

The Jedi Master known as Rev Ultor, a Guardian in the Great Jedi Order had sent a summoning to Kruk only a day earlier. Quick to respond this boy was, it was surprising to the Jedi Master at first, most children were unable to get the funds to travel to such a distant planet, then again most knew how to sneak aboard a shuttle as well. It brought him back to his training as a Padawan and how he had arrived on Coruscant, it was all too easy back then. Pushing that thought aside he traversed down the stairs to the worn out teen that sat on the first set of steps. Smiling at the stranger he walked around him, standing on the flat marble slabs that would lead to the stairs, which would then carry them to the temple itself. It was a beautiful structure, unlike anything most had ever seen. Staring up at it, he got lost in its subtle tranquility and vast beauty before snapping out of the trance and nodding the boy.

"Kruk, I am a Jedi Master here on Ossus. One of the few leaders here in our Order, let me ask you before we begin; have you heard of the Force?"

((I will try, I don't mind you pointing out things like that at all, so feel free.))

Kruk stood up immediately, he had heard of Jedi before, but had never met one. Know there was a Jedi Guardian standing just a few inches from him. The first thing on his mind was still why he had been asked to come here, but out of respect for the Jedi he answered the question first. "My grandfather, who passed recently, used to tell me stories of what he called 'The Force', the way he explained it to me, there is an object of some sort that plays a role in everything, whether it is alive or dead. He also mentioned that it shaped peoples lives without them even knowing it, once he had me wide eyed, he would tell me epic stories about Jedi, who have a sense of the force, and can use it to guide them and give them advantages in combat. The thing is I was never sure if he was just an old man telling stories, or if it was the truth."

Kruk was confused, he could not make things add up in his mind. Why was this Jedi asking him if he knew what the force was? and why did he say before we begin? most importantly why was he here, at this magnificent temple? Sir, before you ask me any other questions, I must admit that I am confused. I still have not learned the reason that I have been called here by someone I do not know, but I assume because you have approached me you are the one who sent me the message? If that is the case would you mind explaining why I have been asked to come here?

After saying this, Kruk felt as if he came off as being rude, but he felt it would be best to shut his mouth and let this Jedi explain himself..

Rev listened to the boys story taking it in and registering it in the back of his mind to remember it for later should the boy ever bring it up. It would appear his Grandfather in some way knew of the Jedi, perhaps he himself was a Jedi, making sense of the midichloreans that bound him to the force found in the boy before him. The boys answer came off as many had, confused and a bit rude, he had long past been used to this type of behavior, especially from a teen.

"Jedi and the Force are what your Grandfather spoke of, and in truth do exist."

The Jedi Master let out a short and soft laugh before continuing on. Looking at a rock to the boys left he called upon it with the Force, it floating to his left hand.

"You see, the Force is an energy of sorts... it allows us to take hold of objects, manipulate the medichloreans found in everything and being in this universe. You have the ability to manipulate an object as I just have done... it may seem impossible, but is very much obtainable by you my friend."

This Jedi speaking of his grandfather gave Kruk butterflys inside. This was the first someone had spoken of him since his death. The image of his grandfather dieing crept into his mind. It was painful, but Kruk know knew he could use this powerful memory to keep him focused on what may lie ahead. Whatever that is.

"Sir you still haven't told me why I am here." Kruk said this with a hint of irritation in his voice.

Kruk was however impressed by this Jedi moving a stone with what appeared to be only his mind. This force that his Grandfather and this Jedi spoke of must be very powerful. Kruk knew instantly that he wanted to see more of this 'force', but most importantly he wanted to know what he was doing here on Ossus.

"By the way, what is your name? You also said that this force is obtainable by me. Is that why I have been brought here?"This Jedi know had Kruk's full and undivided attention.

The Jedi Master stared at this boy, he seemed particularly stubborn, that would have to change should he wish to become a Jedi within the Order. Giving him a friendly smile before crossing his own arms Rev finally answered his question.

"You've been brought here for the reason that you are Force Sensitive, meaning that you can manipulate the Force, just as I had to that stone. You may not believe this, but I'm sure you've noticed subtle signs throughout your lifetime. Perhaps seeing things seconds before they happen, responding to things quicker and more efficiently than your peers, and even being significantly ahead of others in terms of stamina and athletics. These are mere subtle signs of being Force Sensitive, but simply having this traits does not mean one can control the Force, they must have an increased medichlorean count and a connection with the Force; an understanding."

Walking up the stairs his back was now to the stranger, if he would follow would be in the teens choice, otherwise he would be left out of the temple with no hopes of becoming a Jedi, the choice was his.

"..and I am Jedi Master Rev Ultor, a Jedi Guardian within the Order. Excuse me for not introducing myself when we first came into one anothers company."

Not sure how to react to the Jedi walking away, Kruk sat for a seccond, thinking. Then he decided that the Jedi meant for him to follow. So without another second being wasted, Kruk jumped up and ran to catch up with the Jedi Master. Then he followed silently, waiting to see where they were going or what Rev Ultor may say.

While they were walking Kruk began to get excited. Was he finally going to do something with his life? What was all this talk about the force. He knew he would just have to wait and see.

The Jedi Master was leading him to one of the tens if not hundreds of training rooms that were found inside of the temple. It had been decades since every room had been filled, and now was no different. Walking into a training room that was nearly identical to all the rest the Jedi Master looked at Kruk. Giving him a half smile he pointed to a setup in the center of the room. A wood frame with various objects varying in size from a mere bolt up to a twenty pound rock. Each object was securely fastened with a vine that had been once on the floor of Ossus just outside of the temple. Giving the boy a glance he spoke to him.

"Reach out and you will feel your mind, yourself wrapping around these objects. You must apply this focus to one object, and one object alone, at least for now. Call that object to you, and it will move with ease towards you. You may find this difficult at first, but with time and practice it will only become easier. Give it a shot, try first with the smallest object, and above all else maintain your composure and focus on that object."

Taking a step back he gave him a nod to begin, looking at that fixture in the center of the room.

Kruk was somewhat confused, this Jedi brought him into an unfamiliar room, and asked him to move a bolt with nothing other than his mind. How would he do this. Kruk thought about what his new master told him: Apply my focus to one object, the bolt, reach out with my mind, and call it to me. "Well there's no way to find out if i can do it if i don't try" Kruk thought.

Kruk took a few deep breaths. Concentrating with all his might, he shut his eyes and visualized the bolt that was before him. He saw it in his thoughts, clear as day. Then he attempted to reach out with his thoughts, and surrounded the bolt. With his eyes still closed he envisioned the bolt moving toward him, but being stopped by the vine.

When he opened his eyes, he could see the bolt was swaying. Had he done it? Or was there a draft? Instead of asking, Kruk decided to try it again this time, with his eyes open.

Again concentrating with all his might he reached out with the force, this time feeling a bit more comfortable, the bolt moved toward him. Kruk could't believe his eyes, and as soon as he broke concentration the bolt fell back into place, swaying on the vine.

"So that's what it feels like"

Giving his Padawan a nod he smiled. He had a good handle on the Force, whether he believed it or not. This small step would soon turn into leaps and bounds he had no idea he could muster.

"It will take practice to get full control of the Force, but you have shown you have a good handle on the Force, it takes much focus, much determination. To become a Jedi Knight in our order you must devote your life to the Force, do you think you can do that?"

Walking towards the training device in the center of the room he had just so easily manipulated he awaited an answer, leaning against the old tool.

Kruk was pleased, there wasn't much in his life that he had accomplished. He knew from stories that it would not be easy to become a Jedi, but he knew he could do it. He knew that he had nothing and this was his chance to prove he had something.

"Master" Kruk said. "Time is something I have, I will take this challenge with honor, and I will not let you down". Kurk gave his new master a quick smile.

"Whats next?"
