PERSONALITY:

Koth Melan is a very secretive and reclusive individual that values the solitude of his own thoughts. Often found on remote worlds in caves contemplating the mysteries of his own worth and power. He seeks to enlighten his own knowledge of the force and therefore often embarks on missions alone to develop his own power. This leads him to be very ruthless in the execution of whatever it is he puts his mind too. Not particularly prone to impatience, he generally exercises great care and caution in whatever endeavor he is pursuing.

Under pressure, he is generally not quick to temper, though his anger is not always below the surface. He can sometimes become cruel and unsympathetic to those around him. Completely incorrigible when it comes to the respect for others and the law. Lack of a family creates the need to isolate himself form superfluous relationships platonic or otherwise. Honor is a key part of his life, however he follows his own twisted set of code.

HISTORY:

The roots of Koth Melan and his story begin with the collapse of the Herglic Trade Empire, and the subsequent flight from their space into Republic held space. After the demise of the Empire, J'Ardi Melan and his family relocated to the world of Ryloth. There they amassed a small fortune and began to work in the burgeoning slave market there. They lived a lavish life, and had three sons. One of these sons, K'relek Melan, the ancestor of Koth Melan, was found to have a natural affinity to the force. He was discovered by a Jedi Master while on a diplomatic mission to Ryloth regarding the slave industry.

Taken from his home to train the capital of the Galactic Republic, K'relek soon found the tastes of the stoic lifestyle of the Jedi Order to be beyond him, and his power. He made preparations to flee to the world of Onderon to train with the reclusive jedi, Xi'an Sindor. There he was taught the aspect of the dark side, and constructed his own lightsaber which remained in the family's possession for generations.

The exact date of birth of Koth Melan is unknown, however historians have placed the age of Koth Melan at around 30 years old, given that his appearance onto galactic events takes place shortly after Supreme Chancellor Relana Isolde Tanoor is assassinated by unknown operatives. Seemingly bestowed with the same affinity for the force, and with a touch of the dark side, Koth is rumored to reside on the world of Onderon.

There's a gap between his ancestor and Koth. You mentioned really nothing about your character, only about K'relek. I'd like to know myself how it was that Koth came to be born on Coruscant when K'relek went to Onderon.
