Independent Koors Cordan

Koors Cordan was a human male who served as Magistrate of the Outer Rim planet of Ord Mantell during the period known as the ‘Force Eternal’. Assuming the position after attending an academy to study Galactic Law and Civic Council Negotiations at the University of the Core, he was moved to the distant Outer Rim planet thereafter. Filling the position left vacant after the murder of the previous incumbent, Koors took the role with eagerness, overseeing the judicial and civic duties of his office during the waning years of the Free Worlds Alliance.

Flush with resources and the support of a Governor, the Alliance Navy, and even the Sector Rangers, his magistracy enjoyed a period of relative flourishing. Crime rates dropped, new settlers and immigrants came to the planet, and business boomed. Yet the ‘golden age’ was not to last, and the support from off-world soon dried up as news came that the Alliance had disbanded.

Suddenly, Koors found himself adrift. Resources and funding from the Alliance began to wind down, the Navy withdrew to more strategically viable planets, and pirates filled the void they left behind. Trade dwindled, crime rose, and he had to contend with greater challenges but with fewer hands to help keep the world's threats under control. Now managing a world in decline, Koors had to seek opportunity wherever it could be found and try to keep the people for whom he felt responsible treading water.

Personality & Traits

Well-educated, Koors is nonetheless a ‘man of the frontier’, with a hardiness born of a life in the Outer Rim. Unafraid to take a hands-on approach to his job, Koors was knowledgable about how things worked in the outer reaches of space and could speak Huttese, as well as Galactic Basic Standard, ensuring he had fluency in the two most common dialects in the rimward systems.

Koors had dark hair, fair skin, and a modest build. He was not force-sensitive.

Cunning and charismatic, Koors was a well-versed public speaker and frequently addressed the townsfolk over the local holonet. He was handy with a blaster and a stun baton, having to use them more frequently when the dilapidated local law enforcement required additional hands. He could fly his own ship, and pilot a speeder with ease.
