Evening, Sith Temple Archives, Korriban

Darth Perilius had entered the archives with calmness, yet haste. The Sith Lord was having enough of not being able to perform the magic his fellow Sith Lords were able to. If he didn’t have his adventures in the unknown regions then he’d most likely have learned it from his master as the alternate mission, but instead he decided to take a different approach. Being a lord gave him extra benefits; not just clerical ones, but social amenities. Using his permissions, he would take a younger Sith under his wing and they together would end up being able to perform Sith Alchemy. Perhaps this opportunity would open up the door to a possible master-apprentice relationship, or something greater in the future.

In order to be able to perform Sith alchemy, they’d need to learn the theoretical aspects of it first, so Perilius and his comrade headed for the archives and immediately delved into the books and writings of knowledge of the concept. The Sith Lord would begin with obtaining a book that would be able to translate Sith tongue. It would slow the process indeed, but it would be sufficient enough to translate the texts that would most likely be in the ancient language.

After taking the book, he’d await for his comrade near the entrance of the archives, ready to seek knowledge and learn what it took to master Sith alchemy.

While normally Amur was more interested in learning applications of the force that could be used in more combat like encounters she couldn't pass up a chance to learn and observe from a Darth. This was to be the newly minted Darth Perilius, though she pondered if Markov was still preferable. She wondered what made the Darth choose her if it was just him picking a Sith at random or if he would more enticing pursuits in mind for her in the future. Of course that pondering could be realized later when they had finalized their studies. The Acolyte peered through the grand archives picking out a collection of books on the topic of Alchemy all written by various Sith. It was taking her back to her brief period going to uni.

A thing she was glad for was learning the old Sith language, she choose to learn it initially as a curiosity during her old life as well as a chance to better understand the history of the Sith Empire. A language she thought she would never use in a practical but several times it came up and proved remarkably useful. So the Sith had made sure to keep her Sith tongue sharp and regularly practiced around the presence of Darth Kados. Amur was still unsure what the extent of their relationship was, in a way she was an apprentice to Kados in everything but title still though it always felt odd and Amur never could use a term like master to describe him or well anyone.

With all this introspection now starting to claw at the Sith she focus on finding the Darth and approached the man. Looking him over a bit and taking note of the translation guide for Sith. Useful to have though now the Sith was now worried she would have to act as personal translator for him.

"Lord Perilius, you ready to begin our studies? Tu'iea fita buti hekstereyake." A simple greeting and a bit of Sith tongue to gauge his knowledge of the language. If he got flustered or replied to it then the Sith would be pleased if he was confused, well she was going to be in for a long night.

The Lord was quickly running through the dictionary until his comrade finally approached him. As like the last time they’d encounter each-other, Amur had a demeanor of curiosity towards Perilius. Perhaps it was his actions and comparing him to other lords amongst the roster, or it was his display of lesser knowledge of the ancient Sith language.

“Labintias, Kissai. Zhol Kash Amzi Kia delve Atitrazi Tave kgnya,” Perilius said using the Sith tongue. “I still have this book in my hands given I’m not the most fluent with the language, and this is Sith language that I may need to translate with book rather than mind..”

Admittedly, the curiosity beaming off of Amur reflected back onto him in a mutual curiosity of each other. Was it the force that chose her to bring her with him rather than just collectively selecting for greater reasons? He ignored it for the moment as he had to focus on the objective at hand. Gesturing the Acolyte to follow, the Sith Lord would make a beeline for a section he marked off as ancient Sith knowledge. He went to the shelf of documents and knowledge as he strummed to look for one that would suffice. Soon enough, he found one that would translate as The Physics of Sith Alchemy and he immediately delved within the book.

Is Tvarka Kia perform Alchemija Is Tave Vadinti iv Tave Lord:, Tujinti Sekleti Zinot equal proportion iv materials Is Tvarka Kia transmutate Tave Gavyba. Perilius had background knowledge of alchemy, and understood the texts context quickly.
“Perhaps I could someday use the blood of an enemy to kill more enemies...” he muttered.

A standard greeting, hmm could be something the Darth legimately knew the Sith Tongue or just had some it memorized. That would be decided later on, she would remain skeptical. To be frank she wasn't expecting much from him, just an avenue to learn Sith alchemy and maybe get a nice 'personal' relationship (One of subtle domination). Kalanda didn't exactly give a stellar impression of Darth Perilius. Granted Kalanda hated most people she looked at. With her you had to prove why you were worth talking to. Attitude really.

She sat tight alongside him iwth a matching copy of The Physics of Sith Alchemy and was delving in trying her best to understand the material. Truth be told Amur wasn't one of abstract and theoretical when it came to learning science or any other technical field. Explain a concept like a rule of two that some Sith practice or the Kaggath and the Sith picked it up on the spot. Even then when it came to conversation often times she found learning about persuasive techniques and literary concepts easy often able to grasp it with countless real world examples. That was the problem with this, a bunch of equations, an explanation of a drop of blood for a small flame didn't really have a real world image for her to draw upon. She rather just do it and see and maybe scorch herself and deal with any back fires, probably a bit more risky way to learn but more satisfying as well. Though there was a passage that was entertaining the Sith's mind.

Ipamseyezi Alchemija buti armio jri ats xuolis is zhol ai savas ipros. Alia dulokir ai varazine qyâsik vodlmteda ir kasuja valia buti stevasli is ane tere dtaesia iv tave svajone kutualas. Kakore zhol ai suloman kia luma sis su nwit zeje nasina, nuo faveik yun Tsis asmenys fasona kia ajarse ncuzaqiwr sas yun hevilas sareas valia upsu zinot hevilas kujana is tave macij, ir roirga vi duobé vi zhol ai savas varazine qyâsik vodlmteda. Sis buti upsu muyase kia tave hevilas kanalas ir qo anas tave dulokir xatvi sh'jatau alia varazine shâsot hyukmakyr ir snaroki tave svajone ipamseyezi. Noj sis sso zo eihurzersyr idare galez tezn buti zo doteubia, sso zo meistras idare gal buti zo midwanas apata vi tave dulokir galez buti gabus kia akesi tave varazine tutaha ir qyâsik vodlmteda iv arush dulokir, leisti nuo zo kitok idare iv gudrybe.

Amur couldn't help but pondering at the extreme paranoia and scheming of previous Sith generations that such a detail may prove worthy. Still it was intriguing, every force user she ever met had their own little unique variance to doing things, just had to find out how. Even if you reached the point of being able to label people into categories there was always a little difference, like everyone was harmonizing at different frequencies. Her slightly cranked to the side at the mutters of Darth Perilius at his dramatic idea, granted with this stuff it was in many ways literal. Still she took the opportunity to probe his mind.

"You don't need alchemy to do that. You just need to know who's blood to shed and how. Something I feel like many have lost sight on in our order."

A little commentary on the sorry state of the Sith and a chance to see what methods he took to. Was he a brute who loved the thrill of cutting flesh and tearing sinew? Maybe he was more understated and subtle, or maybe he was a slave to order and authority. Knowing your allies and enemies was always important and soon it was only to become even more vital.

The Sith Lord pondered upon the text inside the book he was reading as he listened to the Acolyte read hers as well. Understanding what they both were reading about. Soon enough she commented in contradiction to his muttering statement, which he disagreed in the context of it. “Well if I were to use alchemy it could be of a fine advantage to the enemy... I don’t necessarily need it but it may come into play some day...” he commented as he read into a passage about Alchemy Rituals:

“Sh'jatau mastery, Alchemija Gal Buti Elgtija Nuo Didelis feats ir complex rituals. Lot: Kutualas often requires Lot: Aukotis iv Didelis Kalez such Vi Lot: Issas Irankir Ax Dar Lot: ` Prienijen iv Savimi. Tave transmutation Valia either enhance Tave Wo performing Tave Kutualas Ax cause Tave Zygis directly. Nuo Faveik, Tave Aukotis iv Jri Nekaltas Sensitive: sensitive Tariam transmute Tave Kraujas Kia Rezudax Lot: minor, yet Gudujas storm. Vi Alchemija requires scaled progression Nuo larger effects, Tave Vel creatures sacrificed Valia Vada Kalez ir intensity. Lot: Aukotis iv Penki Tsis could Zemas Lot: ravaging firestorm Ax Lot: Gudujas Rykste. Wo Kutualas Anas Uud Tukodi Is Tave darkest roots iv Tsis history Uud Tave caveat Anas Ar Jri entire legion iv Tsis Tariam Auktoi Zo Asmen partial immortality”

The Sith Lord read the passage as a small smirk ran across his face briefly as he read deeper, craving more knowledge. As he read, the thought of the comment about the order Amur made sprung up, so he took the time to answer it.

“The order is regaining his sight after the previous, foolish regime. We are now going back into the shadows to rebuild as a Sith shall, and will defend our home world. I manipulate with my words and cut flesh whenever it is necessary. Whenever our order is rebuilt and I’m strong enough, we shall rise again.. no matter who is the leader of the order by then.. I an determined bring justice and purge this Order of all of its traitors and defects... I lead the order in consolidation and will continue expanding my influence as I climb higher within the hierarchy..”

The Sith was disappointed with the Darth's answer as he seemed to have the point she made go over his head. Though maybe that was just the issue of being abstract in the context of learning Alchemy. She was thinking in a more political sense the right person dead at the wrong time can make all the difference. The Mandalorian Clans and House are a perfect example. Right now they are united to crush the Sith and yet if you were to take that away let them stagnate and tire you could easily spark a civil war with old blood feuds. Heck Tagus' decision to reform the Sith into a order was perfect, as it took out a lot of the meaning behind Mandalorian conquest now that it wasn't against a easy to demonize Empire. Combine that with the new war between the Mandalorians and the Jedi as they now kept going abroad in search of monsters to slay. Let them fight eachother wear themselves down to the nubbin. There was indeed a method to Tagus' madness even if she had reservations about the guy. Everything he heard from him always felt hollow, an act to sound nicer and hide the truth underneath those glowing yellow eyes.

Amur tried to look back at her Alchemy book and read away in order to break up the mental tangent of politics going on in her mind but then Markov perked up. She wasn't expecting the grandiose speech. It was off putting... Like a holonet ad that spontaneously started playing audio on a page. Though she couldn't help but be skeptical of his words. They sounded fake to be frank. Less like he was an actual Sith Lord and more a talking head. While slightly turned off she decided to push on and see if there was something more delectable under the surface.

Amur arched her back stretching a little, a few soft cracks emanating from her back as tension was relieved. The sith then returned to a normal sitting stance but then pressed her elbow softly against his. She tilted her head ever so slightly towards Markov's head. She was taking it slow gauging his response to the subtle advance. Did he reciprocate or would he reject. She didn't know. Still a nice quiet library, and two Sith study by their lonesome created... opportunities.

"Darling... A word of advice. You sound like a politician on a reelection campaign not a powerful Sith Lord. If you want people to follow you, if you want to lead you need to sound more... personal. Tell me what is it that you really want. I want to hear the real you not the speeches and facades. The right injection of honesty and passion can do a lot." Amur said her voice now a whisper of pure velvet in Perilius' ear. She was curious and could feel her heart race a little from being so bold. It was exhilarating.

Darth Perilius had continued reading further into the books alongside the Acolyte keenly as they both obtained more and more knowledge. She didn’t seem to have any impression from the comments nor soliloquy he stated about the state of the Sith. As he was more distracted by the text the Acolyte would stretch then inch closer to the Lord, resting her elbow against him. At first he was surprised by the subtle actions, but he was fine with it. After all, why would he be not delighting in behavior that would make him think he actually wasn’t a social mess?

Soon enough, she’d ask for more detail and his true ambition, with this he was called darling. This felt a bit disrespectful to a Sith Lord of his levels of desired respect, but accepting this as more personal rather than work, he reciprocated again, leaning a bit closer to her.

“I want revenge for the past. It’s rather intruding now but I want that feeling gone...” he stated with some restraint. That was the personal she was going to get out of him. He would never usually reveal his personal feelings to anyone, but perhaps Amur was an exception. “Sometimes I wonder why I do all of this. What is in it for me on a personal level? It’s all a rouse in a grand facade.. and if I were to show my true feelings would people accept them, or throw them as even more of a joke..”

When he said this his demeanor quickly transitioned to a more calm and more personal. He’d take another subtle advance that normally Markov wouldn’t ever do. He slowly wrapped an arm around Amur’s back, and hoped she’d reciprocate back.

The scorched acolyte would return the affection by leaning into Perilius now sitting beside him shoulder to shoulder. It provided a nice warm feeling along with his arm. It was comforting in that way that the mind craved. Especially amongst Sith many of whom were just broken shattered beings desperate to rekindle something even if many had no idea what that be. Perilius was in that regard completely average for a Sith not to sound rude but in that he represented the Sith archetype.

"I understand revenge, I wouldn't still be here if it weren't for that desire. Still the more time it spends unfulfilled the more it wears on you. Either you try to kill it and see if it liberates or let it go and abandon it. I still have yet to choose which fork I want to pursue." Amur softly shared with Perilius and there indeed was honesty in that even if she wouldn't yet be ready to share the specifics with him. He would have to earn that. Though now she decided to address the second part of his mind's folly.

"You won't ever know the answer to question unless you're willing to throw those ideas out there. Still I get the fear. I don't dare show my face or body because I'm afraid of the reaction. I've feel like a freak and I know that if I show that part of me, what's really under this mask and robes I'll just get the stares, questions and judgement. All I want is for someone that can just accept it and look at me like a normal person." It seemed like her body language change with that having suddenly become much more brooding with each sentence and feeling heavier. Darth Perilius would feel the amount of weight put on his shoulder increase. A depressed sigh would emanate from the mask.

"Maybe that'll never happen. The acolyte finally muttered after a pause that seemed like it was filled with inner turmoil. She would try to read the material again and would be silent now unless Perilius wanted to break the silence and interject. Amur looked like she needed a distraction right now and she seemed to trying to with her text though that might not have been enough.

The Sith Lord would continue to listen as at this point he'd already soaked up adequate knowledge from the book he was reading. Reciting the knowledge in his thoughts he would let himself focus on the conversation at hand. He'd listen to her own feelings as he'd give responses whenever she was done. He felt sympathy for Amur surprisingly enough. To this point of his life, let alone his career, he hadn't felt this feeling: a connection to somebody.

Darth Perilius... no... Markov Aletaus would respond softly and with a more personal tone. "People who judge you purely by what you deem is "Ugly" is foolish... I don't have my perception changed by appearance, but by personality. Whatever is under that mask.. no matter if its utter disfigurement or a scarless face is beauty, because it tells a unique story of a person. Being a 'freak' just means that you have something special, and being called a freak is just a not so nice way of saying that you're unique... Don't let the judgement get to you..." he said as he'd lean even closer to Amur, letting his warmth onto her and feeling her body beside his. "Besides, I also have quite the bad amount of scarring... I'm used to it."

The only communication after that for a while was physical touch. Whether or not there was more added to their contact, he would eventually rise up from the place they were sitting and return the book to its place, then quickly return to Amur. Holding out his hand, he would smile.

"Before we continue uncovering Sith Alchemy..." he paused, delaying his next dialogue for a second. Let's go onto my ship.. shall we?"

The Scorched acolyte had heard exactly what she wanted from Markov and was relishing this moment hoping that this would be the beginning of something much more for her. To see what else made up this perilous Sith. Amur just move ever closer and grabbed ever tighter to Markov. Her head now resting on top of his shoulder. They would read from the same book now having a comfortable silence between the two form. Neither needed to talk it was unnecessary.

She had someone she wanted. That was that mattered. The Sith Alchemy was just a cherry on top for her and an opportunity to pop someone else's. When he stood up offering a hand she would take it.

"It would be a pleasure" Amur responded taking his hand and being lead to Markov's personal ship. She would have a... euphoric time uncovering more about Sith Alchemy and the Sith lord she was in the company of. Certainly a time she enjoyed and there was a certain satisfaction from popping his cherry. That was one takeaway from this experience. He wouldn't die a virgin. It was nice waking up the next day beside him pursing her fingers across his chest and waking up him with a kiss and some manipulations of the force.

"I hope you enjoyed our little 'study session' as much as I did, dear."

She would get up from bed and once again don the garbs of a Sith ready to begin another day. It felt like the web of connections she had with both people and the force was more vivid and more ripe for moving things just the way she liked.
