Altering the Environment
Crusader-Level Force Training: PyroKinesis, CryoKinesis, Combustion
Crusader-Level Force Training: PyroKinesis, CryoKinesis, Combustion
The Holocron hovered in the middle of the training room, and the power about it, mixing into that of the Crusaders and that from the Holocron itself, was nearly sickening to feel. Ark could feel the darkness emanating and penetrating into his very bones, and as he knelt in his own version of a meditative position, Ark's tail twitched in the very anticipation of what secrets it held. Ark was anxious, and as he enveloped the holocron with his mind in the very attempt to open it, Ark could feel that he and the other Crusader were very close to opening it.
Ark knew well what he was here for, and that was to learn. The holocron's purpose was already known, so no surprises would be in this session. In fact, Ark knew well that he was going to alter the environment with the Force, and so he left his light sabers in his quarters.
The glass that made up the dome shaped room they meditated in revealed the blizzard swirling about them. it was a cold day on Ziost, and the planet was in a particular disaccord. Ark enjoyed being able to hear the howls of the storm on the glass room, and to see precisely the flow of the snow that caused the howling in the first place. It forced the room into a particular darkness as if the lights were dimmed, but everything was still visible with ease, even for any creature that didn't have the gift of Ark's low light vision.
And finally the click sounded that indicated the opening of the holocron. Ark has opened enough holocrons that he knew exactly what he was doing now. It was a curse of Ark's ever-expanding thirst for knowledge over the Force. The light, expectedly, flooded the room as the essence of the holocron was released to fill the room. What wasn't expected though was that top of the glass dome they sit within opened to let in the vicious storm.
Surprisingly, the storm seemed to grow more vicious than any ordinary storm at that precise moment as well, as the wind twisted and contorted within the room like a serpent, and there was something dark and twisted about the storm. The dark side controlled the wind itself, and the almost palpable aura that was the wind could buffet the pair of Crusaders with ease.
Leaping form his meditative position, Ark held one paw to the sky, erecting a barrier as the storm, aided by the dark contortions of the Force, bellowed against Ark. It was clear that Ark was naturally built against such harsh weathers, but giving Ark's own difficulties with the storm, it was now obvious that the storm was far from natural as it entered the dome training room.
Pressing himself against eh very winds, Ark made his way to the control panel of the dome's roof to re close it. It was certainly something beyond the natural that caused the sky door to malfunction, and the malicious intent of the very storm itself was enough proof of it. With a reluctant slap of his paw, Ark closed the door to the dome, allowing what vicious wind to be trapped within the room. At least Ark could now let down his barrier.
He observed the wind as it contorted violently against the dome as if a trapped animal. Snow was scattered across the floor of the training room as it showed no intent of melting. The room gained an unnatural chill to it as ice grew everywhere within the room, starting at the door where a thick sheet grew at a pace that would be able to cover the entirety of the room in seconds. All so suddenly, even Ark was cold. Icicles fell from the closed door and reached for the ground as they stopped growing only just out of reach of the Crusaders.
The room they once would have considered a training room turned into an icy cavern that was unnaturally frigid. Ark's paws wrapped around him for the first time in a long time as he huddled into himself for warmth. Ark could only imagine what the hairless ape felt, as it would be increasingly colder for him.
With a slight chatter growing on his teeth, Ark's bared fangs were revealed in a natural grimace as the animalistic-behaving wind swirled into a tornado and settled in the middle of the room, enveloping the holocron where it hovered. In fact, if it weren't for Ark watching the wind settle around the holocron itself, Ark might have completely forgotten about the holocron, and not have come to the conclusion that it was the holocron's doing that terraformed the room into something so impossible.
Shaking off the cold, Ark stood attentive as the tornado collapsed into itself as a figure appeared out of the snow and wind. Wearing the classic, black cloak, it was ornamented with ice in the form of sheets and icicles, and the face was shrouded in an impossible darkness, but icicles seemed the hang out of it like a beard of frozen water.
The ice shattered and cracked as the form began to move. And finally, the icicles protruding from the dark hole that was the hood began to move up and down as if it were attached to the bottom of a jaw, "The environment can be a Sith's greatest weapon."
The voice was old, battered, and almost unperceivable by the howls that accompanied it. It was a softer, cracked voice that was weak compared to the howling of wind that seemed to be the resonating echoes of the storm that blew the figure into the dome in the form of the wind and snow.
Wanting to take a step forward, Ark slipped on a thin sheet of ice that seemed to have formed on the floor, although Ark caught his balance with the slightest of ease. It only caused Ark to lose a bit of focus on the figure as it began to speak again, in which Ark missed the first sentence.
"And with control over your environment, you can control your enemies... Any Sith wishing to master their environment must first understand their environment."
Ark's spine shivered in more than one way as the hooded figure spoke. Suddenly it raised an arm to point at Mitsuki. The finger nor hand were visible, but once again, ice flowed out of the sleeve as it actually grew into an icicle that reached for the ground. Pieces of ice snapped from the figure whenever he moved even in the slightest, and it was impressive to say the least. It made Ark wonder if it was actually a true rendition of a Force user that once existed, or if it was simply the imagination of whoever created the holocron. Never before has Ark experienced a holocron that effected the environment in such a way. In fact, as most holocrons could simulate and actually make someone think they were smelling something disgusting, or think they were drowning, this holocron was different. Not only did it actually open the dome up to the blizzard that rages outside of the training room, but it also sucked it into the room, augmented the effects of the blizzard, and covered the room in ice. Ark was incapable of being able to tell exactly what was real and what was the holocron. Was the room actually covered in ice by some power of the Force that the holocron wielded? Were they really freezing and trapped?
Still pointing at Mitsuki, it finally spoke after an unbearable silence, "What do you see in your environment?"
