Backstory

Knight-Bot's origins are piecemealed together from a variety of droids and it's hard to say when exactly he first was "born," so to speak. One could perhaps point to an expedition led by the late Jedi Master Drow Venn. On Ahch-To, Drow and another Jedi found an abandoned droid that attacked both of them with a lightsaber. After subduing it and doing some investigating, the Jedi discovered that this droid had been crafted by an Ancient Jedi Master to provide him with more of a challenge in his training sessions. Recognizing the historical and practical value of the droid, Drow towed it back to Yavin, where he had the Temple's engineers reverse-engineer the programming.

Because of its age, Drow recognized the droid's fighting style as an unrefined version of Form I. Deciding to give it some upgrades, Drow and the engineers programmed some more contemporary moves and kata from the Form, as well as some less-than-honorable techniques that Venn had picked up from his days as a mercenary. But due to the age of the original droid and the storage requirements of the new programming, Drow was forced to find a more modern shell to house his creation. A fan of military history, he decided a DT-series security droid would be the perfect home for his new droid. His plan was to create a series of them but, unfortunately, was exiled and then later killed before that plan could come to fruition. So, as it is, the newly christened Knight-Bot serves as the only one of its kind and serves the Jedi Order as a security droid, training droid, and friend to the Jedi.

Equipment and Skills

Knight-Bot has several skills, mostly martial, that make him an asset to the Jedi Order. For one, his programming and databanks give him complete mastery of Form I or, as much mastery of the form that a non Force Sensitive droid could have. As an added joke, Drow included some professional wrestling moves and jokes into its personality matrix, to give Padawans a little taste of what it's like to fight a taunting opponent.

As far as equipment, Knight-Bot is fairly well-off. He posseses a lightsaber that Drow had stolen and purified from a Sith (turning the red blade white in the process). He also houses a shocker hand on his left arm (to replicate Sith lightning) and repulsor cannon (to replicate a Force Push) that help prepare Padawans and Knights better on what it's like fighting a Sith opponent. He also comes equipped with all of the usual equipment that a DT-series droid usually has, minus the integrated rifle in its hand.

He also has access to Drow's old astromech Sparky and Y-Wing, although that's mainly because the astro wants to keep an eye on his old Master's creation. Capable though he may be, Knight-Bot can still cause trouble for himself if he doesn't have someone watching over him.
