Kjlljk rising, Rutan's peace

Rutan a system near the Hydian Way both the planet Rutan and it's moon Senali are at war. This war has been going on for generations with no end in site. Yong Ki Firechild while on planet for a separate issue learned of this waste of people. After studying the situation Yong Ki decided that the best way to bring these two governments into the Protectorate would be to remove the ruling families permanently, and place the children with a lesser Noble family and then place other lesser family's friendly to the Protectorate on the throne's. Two weeks of scouting and developing friendships Yong Ki had what he considered the best choices in place. Each of the would be ruling families would supply 10 warriors and the would be ruler. They would assist each other backed by Yong Ki and his crack security commandos, as well as other members of the Protectorate.

Cade arrived on Rutan right after mid day, His Sunskimmer-Class Starbird touching down on a landing pad in the middle of the city. After a four hour trek Cade was able to find a position with high ground roughly a quarter mile from the ruling family's Villa. Cade took his time setting up his Type-12 Fusion Rifle, with its custom stability device and throwing a near perfect gili-blanket hiding his presence from any flyovers. Cade took a quick lick of KIK-Dust and settled in for what would undoubtedly be a long wait.

The villa was inside his rifles range leaving only about two-hundred feet to spare.

They had decided to stage the coup at 2 pm local time so that security would be lethargic after their meals and shift change too far for fresh troops to show. Two locals and one of his Wookie explosive experts were going to blow the shield generator and take out the power to the Villa. The remaining strike force were aboard the Hunter class enforcement ship. The ship would take out the two Crow's nests on the approach and then blow the security doors while the strike team debarked. The orders were simple if it was armed kill it. All members of the strike team were wearing an orange hood and belt to help identify them to each other. At precisely 2 pm local a call over the Protectorate frequency said,"power down, generator blown."

Cade may have also been of a species that was covered in fur, but at least his could speak.. These wookies literally looked like a large roll of carpet was being rolled out over the compound. Ships flew over head, stuff was blown up, the doors got obliterated.

"Why can't you guys just go in quiet for once?" Cade said to himself. He accepted this mission from the Grand Counselor believing it to be a quick in and out assassination, well come to find out the Grand Counselor also tasked the Protectorate's side show bear with the same thing..

Maybe she forgot and accidentally assigned is both separately.

Even as he thought he knew already that he was wrong, she is all about sending more than enough to finish the job.

Cade looked at his bottle of whiskey,"Well, may as well..." Talking to himself again.

The Rutanien's and Senalies immediately charged the blown doors. Skating on their repulsor boots the Wookie commandos swept the outer compound with their heavy blaster rifles taking out any security personnel with no quarter asked for or given. Even wearing heavy armor with his repulsor boots provided enough boost for Yong Ki to reach a second floor balcony. He then swung over the railing and smashed through the window. An armed Rutanien burst through the door looking for the source of the crash only to see the source already aiming a blaster at his face.

Cade laid under his camouflage blanket chugging his whiskey bottle cheering himself on in his head.

After his first bottle was empty he took another look down his scope watching the carnage unfold.

whoo hoo... He thought sarcastically.

Rutan.

The world had been fighting a not-so-civil war for decades with it's moon, Senali. Atrocities had been committed on both sides. And it was into this hell that Vennfandalkass had been dispatched. Why anyone in the Jedi had thought that he would be ideally suited for this mission, the diminutive Squib couldn't guess. He wasn't much of a diplomat at all, and yet he'd been called on to do exactly that, being dispatched to speak with the rulers of Rutan in an attempt to find some common ground that could be found in the hopes that peace might be reached.

Personally, Venn had little confidence that either side of the war was inclined to lay down their arms. Both sides were convinced that they were in the right, and more importantly, that the other side was wrong. What exactly they were right or wrong about, Venn hadn't been able to discern. After generations of conflict, it almost seemed like nobody was sure why they were fighting anymore, beyond simply continuing the conflict of their elders. A sad state of affairs.

Venn was preparing for the day ahead, which would be his third among the Rutan leadership, when the lights went dark. It took a few moments for the red emergency lighting to hum to life, but it was long enough for the Jedi to realize what was happening: Another one of the near-constant raids that plagued both worlds.

Hurrying out of his guest quarters and down the hallway, up a staircase to the second floor of the compound. Technically he was here as a diplomatic envoy, but few Jedi would have stood by while an attack was taking place, and judging by the sounds coming from the floor below, that was exactly what was happening. He spotted a Rutanien guard crashing through a doorway that led to a balcony, only to see another sentient pointing a blaster at him.

Venn's lightsaber hummed to life, the searing blue blade springing into existence as he adopted a ready stance.

"Turn around and come back the way you came, intruder!" He called out to the sentient who had, it seemed, crashed through the window. This compound is under the protection of the Jedi!"

Yong Ki picked off six more armed Rutaniens from his position inside the door by the time the strike team made it to the second floor. The room to room searches were fast and savage. By the time the second floor was clear the security and kings family had had time to concentrate their defense at the third floor landing. Yong Ki chuckled at the Jedi upon his arrival and said, " you cannot have lived as long as I and not have learned to deal with Jedi mind tricks." "You have had decades to end this war, Began Yong Ki, so stand aside I am here with a coalition of noble houses from both Rutan and its moon Senali who are bent on ending his stupid war and the waste of lives and resources. Your opportunity for peaceful negotiations ended long ago."

As the fighting continued Cade sat rather quietly, watching it. A large grouping of humanoids had exited the compound and were running, using his scope he watched each one, they appeared to have been the staff of the mansion, as not a single one belonged to the ruling family. They were however carrying several pieces of valuables, they'd probably stolen amidst the fighting.

Cade returned his attention to the villa, it seemed all was normal around, Well normal for a breach anyway. That was until he caught sight of a blue hue coming from the smashed open window on the second floor.

A lightsaber?

Unfortunately for the Squib he'd never seen an activated lightsaber that wasn't red. Cade kicked his comms on,"What's going on in there?" He was only able to see the blade at this moment, not being able to tell who was holding it.

Looking down at the Jedi, Yong Ki held up one finger and then said aloud, "Sniper 1, Jedi have joined the party we are discussing the level of his participation, if he tries to leave before me he is yours." Giving the Jedi his now undivided attention, Yong Ki then said, just so you know all noncombatants are being strictly left alone. It has been decided that the number two and number three noble families will adopt all the children and marry any females. The fourth family will assume the Kingship. We drew the line when the planet declared that all captured Senalies regardless of age would be kept as slaves. When the Senalies said the same thing we decided that it was time to end this." Let me guess you got nowhere during your deliberations with the king and his sons ?" Asked Yong Ki. During the conversation with the Jedi Yong Ki 'a helmet mic had informed him that his commandos had a swarmed the third floor landing and taken it.

Cade watched the window carefully until he noticed that the being holding the lightsaber was a Squib,"Oh crap!" Cade stood up quickly and slung his rifle around his back clipping his camouflage blanket to his armor like a cape and took off running towards the villa,"Do not fire on him! I will be there momentarily!" his words over the comms were labored as he ran as quickly as he could, the whiskey and KIK-Dust taking its tole of his breath as he ran. He had to do all he could to preserve the member his species. plus...

The saber was blue that means good guy right?

It was nearly a quarter mile to the villa from his position, anyone looking from behind him would see a strange sight thanks to his camo cape, as if a patch of land had gotten up and was floating toward the villa. Cade's repulsor boots only helped so much to add to his speed and help him to come crashing into the balcony of the second floor, causing him to climb up the rails then over them before entering the room.

"Wait!..... You!.... Don't!..." Cade's words at a high volume and out of breath, his head was a bit light and the energy used from running was gone."Ahh! Same Side!" his words hardly making sense but easy to understand the meaning.

Yong Ki continued to stand in the doorway watching the Jedi while Cade gasped out his message. As long as he was blocking the door he was content to just monitor the combat on his headset

Cafe had finally caught his breath after a bit of wheezing and coughing.

"Sir, we stand on the same side of this war, the side of peace! These two nations have been given generations to end this war and have failed. We are installing a new ruler ship that, under our guidance, will create and maintain the peace between this beautiful planet and its moon. No more will tyranny, strife and petty disputes be common place among these people." He stated truthfully.

"Also, as a member of my species, I beg you, to maintain our species's existence and not stand in the way of this, for the good, progress." He added, as he truly did not ever want to see another Squib dead, especially if he could do something about it.

Yong Ki switched off his interpreter droid as he listens to the continued traffic on his head set. Chief said one of his team leads the locals are starting to use grenades on the final pocket of resistance. Evacuate all noncombatants and continue to monitor situation and advise If I am needed. Turning his droid back on Yong Ki said to the Jedi, "we are acting with in the laws that are on the books for this both the planet in the moon. "

Cade stood there with one hand secretly on a SCKO-Knockout Gernade under his cape, ready to incapacitate the fellow Squib if need be. Cade was not willing to kill the man, or even grievously wound him, as a fellow Squib he respected his life,"Are we in agreement then?"

Listening on his earpiece Yong Ki heard his team lead say, "chief local command is requesting use of the hunters guns, the remaining targets Have sealed themselves into a safe room or vault or whatever you want to call it ?" Nodding Yong Ki, asked, is there still a local on the hunter. After a moment The pilot replied," yes Chief" confirm the gunners court nets and allow him to engage with cannons only," said Yong Ki . The Villa shook violently three times young Yong Ki heard his team leader say "ceasefire it's done". Looking at Cade Yong Ki said," all adult males are accounted for there is now a new ruling family."

"Very well, we have accomplished our goal here, Jedi. We will now take our leave, you are free to acquaint yourself with the new ruling family. " Cade began walking to the railing preparing to evacuate the area with the rest of the troops, but staying back to make sure the Jedi situation was still good.

Yong Ki watched as the noncombatants were put onto speeders and taken from the area he ensures that all of his men and the remaining locals who work to accompany him boarded the hunter. The new king approached pending Yong Ki A sheaf of papers and an electronic memory chip, then said, as per our agreement we are now part of the Protectorate. there are The administrative codes for our fleet which to the best of my knowledge is two frigates two Corvettes 28 spine/ class drop ships and 35 hunter class enforcement ships. Nodding Yong Ki murmured something which was then repeated by his droid in a low tone after which he turned and walked to his waiting ship
