Very tempted to do a small writeup on these guys, just wondering if it would even be approved before I start. They wouldn't have any insane abilities, and the race as a whole would not be force sensitive.

I feel like this is totally within the bounds of starwars, you have the Fosh, Jawa, Ewok and Yodas race and other small creatures of that nature. That picture in particular i feel like could very well be a race in Starwars. I feel like it depends on the story you write with them. They could have been enslaved, i imagine they would be prized as pets.

PS.(They're actually very much like Kushiban. A sub-species maybe? I mean, its close enough that if you want to make a character with that pic as a Face-claim, you could totally just make them a kushiban.)

The pet idea is great, I can definitely see enslavement being a part of the beings history.

I will look into the kushiban and see what I can come up with.
I will make them a subspecies if you wish (perhaps ancient ancestor?) but Kushis seep to resemble lemurs more than predators.

They would also be native to some kind of arid desert planet. Do you have any that are approved in the timeline?

You could always have them be galaxy wanderers, perhaps the majority of their species was enslaved long ago and they no longer have an actual homeworld. You could also say they have settlements on worlds such as Tatooine, Jedha, or somewhere else. Here is a list of all the desert planets found on Wookieepedia, link. Chances are the admins won't mind if you use a planet from legends, so long as it doesn't break any of the rules of canon, but if your hesitant you could always ask them.

As far as getting them approved without a write up, I guarantee the answer is no. If you want to RP a custom species made for the site then you'll have to do a write up, or find some sort of loophole in already canon/approved species.​

I don't really see any reason to create a new species and it would probably be fine for someone to use the picture if they wished. If it bugs anyone that this thread is here feel free to have it removed.
