On an asteroid hidden far in the unknown reaches from prying eyes, Komad Industries develops some of the most advanced technology of this era. From weapons and armor, to ships and droids. No one knows the location of this hidden compound save the few pilots who deliver new employees and guests to the asteroid, as well as the higher ups in the company. From here Aden Komad, genius prodigy of the Echani, sets his eyes upon a galaxy ravaged and consumed by endless war. He has a vision and he will do anything to see that vision to come to be. He has recently started to make his move and has begun to hire remarkable individuals to help him further expand.

Aden looks at the arriving transport from his large estate, almost palace, atop the asteroid compound. He knows that this is one of a few transports that will arrive today with people with unique gifts and skills to help him further his goals. He turns from the window and begins to dress in his normal attire. Echani combat boots with combat pants that have several rips, his armored bracers, his black jacket, his bandanna, and his hat. Satisfied he was prepared he headed to the elevator and went down to the main compound. As he wove his way around his countless employees, soldiers, and droids a voice over the base comms announced the arrival of the transports.

The young Echani finally made his way to and into the empty conference room. It contained a circular table with one chair higher than the others and facing the door. It was his chair that he would sit in for meetings, conferences, and other important matters. He sat in the chair, spun around in it absent-mindedly, and sighed as he waited for the one called Farus who would be applying for the Grand Marshal position.

Farus looked with slight awe at the amazing display of power and technology before him. This man was indeed who he claimed to be, and Farus knew that a man of his word, one with power at that, was a good alley. He had been picked up at a bar by a professional looking man with a soldier, all of which belonging to Komad industries. Farus at first was hesitant, but when stable work and extremely nice pay, combined with his natural fighters urge, was offered to him he couldn't resist.

The ship shook as they landed on the palace like facility. A small female ushered him through the air lock, seemingly undaunted by his massive size and teeth, she lead him through the winding corridors until finally breaching into a large room. Sitting at the far end of the table was what Farus could only assume to be the prodigy Aden. Farus did the traditional salute of his people, bringing his webbed hand to his left shoulder in an open palm, slightly bowing.

"Grand Devourer Farus, as requested." he stated simply, standing at the end of the table.

"Hmm?" Aden stopped spinning in his chair and immediately smiled. "Fantastic! I've always wanted to meet a Karkarodon. When my agents found one that was a former military leader as well, well, I couldn't exactly pass up the opportunity to meet him and offer him a job. And Grand Devourer, I like that title a lot."

He pressed a button on his chair and an intercom blinked. "Yes Mr. Komad?"

"Make a note," said the eccentric Echani. "I want the military position renamed to Grand Devourer. It just has a better ring to it."

"As you say sir." Said the female voice.

He looked back to the large, shark-like humanoid. "Well then. Back to business before I forget myself. I have a tendency to let my mind wander or, as Ms. Ro says, act like a child. So Mr. Farus, tell me about yourself and what drew you to our company? I know the basics of course, my intelligence network is very thorough and I know quite a bit about you. But speaking to you directly is so much more fun."

He laughed and smiled playfully as if everything he did was a game and he took nothing seriously, which was partly true, and read him as he readied his answer. He knew he must seem very young, immature, and strange to the potential ambassador. But whether he realized it or not, every single thing that they would discuss in the next few minutes would determine whethershe would be hired or not. As well as how far Aden could trust, depend, and work alongside the man. Every question, no matter how trivial it would appear, would tell Aden something about the individual before him. A test or profiling of sorts.

Farus watched the human's face change from bored to energetic, some thing that Farus found interesting. As went on for a bit he finally came back to asking Farus about himself and how he ended up where he did and why he wanted to be part of Komad industries.

"Well, sir" he began as he spread his stance to more comfortably distribute his weight "I came from a line of male warriors that were ferocious, but lacking in general will. I took those men and trained them to rise against the oppression of the female cast and effectively turned the males of my fiefdom into a organized pack." he wanted to show his military capability, some thing that he was proud of. "As well as that I also managed to properly run the fiefdom after the uprising. I myself am a simple man, a warrior at heart and leader at mind. As for your company, I will be honest, not many places, that aren't shady, want to hire a person of my heritage, a long with that it is stable work doing some thing I am good at." he said this all with a bit of pride, but nothing over the top. He was a proud warrior, his skill was some thing that he had worked hard to achieve, as well as his title.

"A very impressive resume indeed. Have a seat. Would you like something to drink or eat?" Aden sat down and propped his feet up on the table in a very un-CEO like manner. He sat back and quickly ran through a few hundred scenarios before finding one he liked. He smiled as he saw the end result and he knew this shark-like creature would be a perfect candidate to command the ground forces of Komad Industries, especially with his plans beginning to come to fruition. He would need a strong commander, but he had to make sure he was the right choice. "Hmm, so what would you say is the most important thing in life and battle? And why?

"Thank you, and no, nothing for me." he said as he took a seat, hoping the chair could support his weight. He got a thoughtful look on his face, or what passed for one by his peoples standard.

"That is a hard question to answer, sir" he thought for a moment "I would have to say several things. Leader ship is important, a leader leads by example. Also courage and discipline, but in turn caution and thoughtfulness. A warrior needs to be able to make decisions on his own, but also know when to trust in his leader. It is a very fine line between brilliance and suicide." he stated this all in a serious e tone, his eyes becoming distant, though it was hard to tell due to their odd nature.

"Please don't call me sir," laughed Aden. "But you are indeed correct. Your answer was honest, practical, and concise. But...war is a messy thing. Sometimes you will have to make the hard decisions; sending men to their deaths, killing innocents to win a war. Can you do that? Can your consciousness stand the fires of war? But first...let's play a game!"

"You have a very impressive resume,"
said Aden as he pressed a button on the table. As five items rose from the table he continued. "Of course I know most everything about you. I may even know things you would rather I didn't, but information and knowledge are the keystones of true power. And I pride myself on gathering all three; knowledge, power, and information. But I digress. In front of you are five objects, look them over and then pick one. This has nothing...and everything to do with this interview. Just pick one."

The items were a holobook filled with military stratagems, a blaster pistol, a thousand credit chip, a glass of wine, and a vibroknife. Each one meant something different, whether the one taking this test knew it or not. Each item could tell Aden something about the person's inner self, even on a subconscious level. Aden smiled as he awaited the Karkarodon's choice.

Farus nodded when Aiden told him to stop calling him sir, and when Aiden said they should play a game, he became worried. He watched as the five items rose up out of the table, each of them seeming to mean nothing, but Farus knew that some one as smart as Aiden had a reason for this. Farus' greed wanted him to take the credits, but greed was some thing Farus quelled easily, he banished the thought. His warrior instinct wanted him to take the blade, some thing he was very familiar with, blades. His soldiers side wanted the blaster, but it was more out of greed than his true soldier's nature. His true nature, that being of a leader, soldier, and warrior, wanted the book. Some thing rare on his planet, strategy was valued, knowledge was treasured.

With a slight nod he reached out and took the book, holding it surprisingly carefully in his massive hands. He looked at the book a while longer before looking up.

"I choose this."

"An interesting choice." Said Aden holding out his hands laughing merrily. "Many would have instantly gone for the gun or blade, even the credits. A race like yours, brutal and strong, many would not have expected the book yo be your choice. Though I did read your hesitation. You wanted the credits, then the gun, then the sword. What if I told you...the only better answer you could have picked would have been to take all of them?"

"I know I said to take only one, but think; war doesn't have rules. You do what it takes to win, to claim all the prizes. Whether moral, philosophical, or actual. Knowledge is power, true, so the book seems like the wise choice. But true knowledge, true power comes from knowing one thing..."
He held up a finger and winked. "The only rules are the ones we make. Especially those in the heat of battle. Power, wealth, business, battle...all of these things are so different and yet they are the same. I can tell this is going to be a very interesting adventure. For the both of us. If you want the job...you're hired."

He turned to face him. He pulled two objects from his pockets; a gold pin that would serve as identification and a symbol of his rank. It was a miniature of a Enforcer Droid with blasters framing it on either side. There was also a wrist mounted computer. A highly advanced piece of technology designed by Komad Industries for people of authority. "This is a Komad Industries command interface system, or CIS for short. It will allow you to communicate to anyone else wearing one; the Ambassador, higher ups, and myself included. It works over any distance. It also regulates your bio-signature. We can locate you and monitor your health. It also allows you to access Komad Industries secure comm network and database. You can access your unlimited funds through it, just don't go too crazy with it. All major purchases and acquisitions have to be approved and they normally will be."

"But other than that,"said Aden smiling and holding out a hand. "Welcome to Komad Industries Grand Devourer Farus."

Farus frowned at first when the man told him his answer was not the best to choose, but when the real answer came to light, Farus smirked a little. He liked this mans style and ethic. Aden was truly a prodigy, some one to be as young as they were, and understand battle, business and technology...Farus had a healthy respect, and admiration of the the man before him. When he heard that the man was willing to hire him, even wanted him in the position, his smirked widened to a toothy smile. Then Aden brought out the pin and and CIS, Farus took the pin and held it in his left hand, he was only wearing pants, due to not having much money or finding things that fit him, and the CIS he attached to his arm.

When Aden held at his hand to shake with Farus, Farus had a full on predatory smile, all of his razor teeth were present as he took the small man's hand in his own and gave it a decent shake, remembering not to go over board.

"I thank you S- Aden." he said, catching himself before he said the wrong thing.

"There you go! Much better!" He smiled widely. "Go ahead and take some time to get all of your affairs in order and when you're ready, report to one Commander Marin. He'll be glad not to have to deal with all the responsibility alone anymore. Oh! You should also make it a point to speak with Admiral Renald. But other than that, just don't eat too many of our soldiers! Hahaha, welcome to Komad Industries."
