If Mos Eisley was a wretched hive of scum and villainy, what does that make Nar Shaddaa? Marisa did not dread setting foot on the planet because of its infamy as the most popular shadowport in the galaxy, but because its neighbor is Nal Hutta. Her ordeal on Bespin made it clear that one of the Hutts was still after her, having evaded multiple bounty hunters on Cloud City. Being in a place with too many people seemed to be more of a curse than a blessing. The moment someone realizes she is wanted by the Hutts, there would be nowhere to hide. Sticking close to Izzy, her newfound companion, seemed to be the only form of security she could rely on.

As Izzy landed the ship that the two used to leave Bespin, Marisa took in the thousands of lights that adorned the cityscape. There was something incredible about ecumenopoleis: knowing that there will be lights and structures as far as the eye could see. Marisa grew up where both cities and landscape were at a balance, so she never had sights such as this at home. Or at least, the place she once called home. She took a holo-recorder from one of her pouches as she approached the cockpit. If Izzy didn't notice her approach, the woman prodded him with the recorded.

"Hey, can you hold onto this for me?" she asked him.

The angular ship, nameless as though echoing Ereshkirgal's own absence of soul, settled with a shutter onto the circular side-plot that extended over a massive revine. Looking out from within the cockpit, he took in a deep breath of sorrow at the emptiness that was growing inside him. Though, quite the opposite in his new companion; Marisa, building up a strength in him he almost did not recognize as his own. He longed for battle. The soldier's life, such a simple thing. What did the swing of his sword matter if he could not find his enemy's true heart? What had he done with his life but throw away brother and sister for a now lost cause? There are so many people here. What can one do but feel lost among them?

Eresh, having pondered the use of the name 'Izzy' during his flight of solitude, felt only foundation in the Force; his rock and anchor to what he must do. Staring out the cockpit, Eresh's eyes raised at first sensing Marisa's approach. He made no attempt to impede her. Once she asked her question, he swiveled around in his chair as he fed his fingers through the loose side of his hair and pressed it over ear. He simply looked at her, one palm open-faced on the arm rest.

"What would you have me do, make recording?"

Denying his instinctual emotion to refuse her request outright, feeling that a warrior should not be reduced to a simple courier, Eresh tried to comply; for she had earned none of his bitterness. But that was, in part, what bothered him about the request. Deep down, he overanalyzed the item as though she were offering a sign of trust between them and it troubled him.

It was an honest question: Marisa gave him that. She thought it would sound too cliche to explain herself entirely, deciding to keep her answer short. Marisa had her own reservations in the case that things don't end up well this close to the planet she most despised, which is exactly why she wanted Izzy to hold onto the holo-recorder.

"Just for safe keeping. It dun have an important audio recording onnit," Marisa said, blundering on her Standard Basic accent. She nudged Izzy with the recorder, insisting on the other taking it and won't take no for an answer.

"I just want it back once we get off this rock," she added. "I don't like this place: too many eyes."

Once she manages to force Izzy to take the holo-recorder, Marisa planned on setting foot off the ship. There should be something the eat nearby: most food vendors take advantage of spacers passing through. Nar Shaddaa should be no different than other spaceports. The food rations on Izzy's ship were too bland for her tastes.

"Hm"

He puffed some air out his nostrils with contemplation, but took the item all the same -curling up the recorder in hand to his shoulder. He could sense the weight leaning upon her, more unhinged than ever before in his regard for mental privacy. Though, even still, he was not so intrusive as many others atuned to the Force.

"Do you requre sustenance? My food stores are yet nearly full. And we can discuss our next destination over a meal packet."

Dining had lost its attraction to Eresh over the years, and he did not think to satisfy others' tastes on his journey. So the thought of leaving the ship hadn't even crossed Ereshkirgal's mind, as of yet. His direction of thinking was almost completely opposite to Marisa's, feeling lost and invisible to the masses where she felt watched and wanting to replenish the body when she wished for delicacy.

The talk of proper food brightened Marisa's face. She gave Izzy a smile, not thinking at all about the possibility of the ex-Knight sensing her intentions. "Yeah, let's do that."

She left the cockpit to thumb the loading ramp operation panel and step off the ship. Without even waiting for the ramp to finish lowering, she hopped onto the landing pad and gave the area a quick look-around. The many buildings gave too many places to hide from her prying eyes. The feeling of vulnerability weighed down on her shoulders, though Marisa also reminded herself that there is the promise of proper food instead of Izzy's food rations. The rations may even have been long expired. At least using the toilet hasn't been a problem.

A rodian approached them about docking fees, speaking in Huttese. Marisa responded in kind, tossing a few chips into the rodian's hands. She only paid half the fee, explaining that her companion still on-board will pay the other half of the fee. A hot meal and a nice cup of hot cocoa sounded pleasant: she wanted to go ahead and find a place that served decent food. Hopefully, Izzy wouldn't mind. She melded into the crowd, passing by one of the vendors, where a jawa sold droid parts. The moment the jawa noticed her, he gave a nod of greeting before returning to tend to his stall, since the street's din made it difficult to hear. Marisa had a few friends on Nar Shaddaa, though they probably wouldn't be enough to counter the unknown numbers of bounty hunters who were pulled by the promise of money.

One restaurant stood out: Gambler's Luck. A rather bland name, but at least it was designed for human patrons first. Marisa back tracked to the ship, hoping that Izzy didn't leave in search for her. It had only been a few minutes. Waiting a little wouldn't hurt anyone, right?

Kote landed on Nar shaddaa. He had tracked the person the hutts wanted from Bespin and was intent on capturing the target. The hutts sent two other bounty hunters, a Bothan and a Human, with him. After quick deliberation, he was disappointed by these two. The Bothan was inexperienced and generally useless. The Human wasn't any better, a cowardly little runt who had enough of an ego to think he was worth something. Neither was older than him... and neither could have been in the business very long. They were baggage... and sadly they were now his baggage.

The rodian dock master approached Kote asking for the landing fee. Kote order the dock dock master to drop the fee, stating he was working for the hutts, and proceeded to question him about the person they were looking for. The rodian gave some details and pointed Kote in the right direction. Kote and his two hapless underlings set off in the direction the dock master had given them. Hopefully, the dock master hadn't lied... of course, the rodian could have just told the three bounty hunters what they wanted to hear to save his wretched skin, but with some luck this would not be the case.
