Hello and welcome to the OOC of this thread. I’m posting this since it appears that not everyone involved is on Discord. This way we have some clarity and transparency.

So first things first I want to thank you Interdictor for your enthusiasm and assistance on the empire side. However there are a few things that are an issue with your latest post. Namely, you cannot make an attack in the same post to enter a thread.

  1. "Attacks cannot be made in the first post with the exception of espionage plots."
This is not an espionage plot

I would have liked to know I had a team mate coming in to help rather than it be a total surprise so that we could collaborate. Team mates can "lock in" actions and therefore get one another unintentionally killed. If you are unfamiliar with the PvP guide I have linked it above for easy access. Nobody likes being responsible for killing their team mates they were trying to help, myself included.

The way you entered the scinario doesn't make much sense considering the nature of Kessel in the center of the Akkadese Maelstrom. A ship would not be able to drop out of hyperspace safely. You have to travel sublight through the Channel in order to reach Kessel.This is what makes Kessel such a difficult place to invade. I've shared an image of the maelstrom below for reference.

I would be okay with saying your group followed my own through the same path but that may be something that the three of us should discuss together. Regardless, you won't be able to actually make an attack until next round of posting.

My bad, I'll edit that. And the Hyperion didn't exit from hyperspace inside the maelstrom. Sorry if that was unclear. I haven't ever done a fleet battle before. @Darasuum

Thank you. It looks good to me. I'll update the map tomorrow and put your tokens on it. I'm heading to bed soon though.

@Darasuum Minor note regarding the map: not sure if those little starfighter tokens are supposed to each equal one starfighter, but if they are you have a minor discrepancy. The Hyperion carries *nervous laugh* ...three TIEs. Again, not sure if those tokens are supposed to be 'one token=one fighter,' but just wanted to make sure.

They are not meant to represent an exact number but you’re right there are probably more there than necessary to represent 3 starfighters. I assumed that you also had more than just 3 since TIE hunters have built in hyperdrives. But i will remove a few of them from the map in a little bit. Thank you for being honest and letting me know.

@Interdictor The holocall between Trael Osso and Rhonwen is private. Your character would not be aware of what has transpired. Can you please edit?

@Darasuum Whoops. I was assuming that Rhowen would order the Hyperion to stand down as well, since she said she would order her forces to surrender. And besides, the Hyperion has access to the fighter-capship comm channels and would likely hear the Apparition give surrender orders to its fighters. I will edit it if you want, though. (and sorry for messing up…again)

@Interdictor The hyperion isn’t her’s to command in the first place and they’re the same rank so I’d imagine not. But the cross-channel talk to fighters makes sense and could be noticed or their weapons going silent but only at the very end of the exchange. We are using “shared time” which means that at the end of this round of posting it would most likely be noticed. However if that is the case than that is 1 corvette and 3 starfighters who are splitting their focus from 2 frigates, 1 carrier and 100s of starfighters to shoot at 1 corvette, 2 gunships, and dozens of starfighters that were former allies. My point for that is the Hyperion would probably need any and all firepower they have and use it on the Hutt forces since they are already outgunned.

It’s okay. Mistakes/differences in opinion and edits are common. I actually expect “friendly” fire but just not immediately is all. Thanks.

I have one other request if you’ll indulge me please. Could you start breaking your text into paragraphs please? It is a little hard to read as one large wall of text.

Yeah, the Hyperion knows that this battle is lost. It's mostly 'take out the Apparition before it is captured' at this point. Naale isn't hanging around to get her ship obliterated. She is also hoping that, since the Apparition has surrendered, its shields are down and weapons are offline, making it the easiest target in the history of easy targets. I will edit my post right away (and include separate paragraphs).

EDIT: here's how I'm imagining the sequence of events here, let me know if this is right:
  1. Apparition launches bombers
  2. Hyperion opens fire on the carrier
  3. Bombers destroyed by carrier
  4. Apparition surrenders
  5. Hyperion begins to fall back and retargets Apparition

@Interdictor I have updated the map.

You're writing a naval character so I would assume you would IC be aware of the ship's weapons limitations.

"Capital ship laser cannons have maximum effective range of approximately 1km, and non-capital ship laser cannons have an effective range of 500m."

That's a lot closer than the previous 50 kilometers max range of the turbo lasers. You're going to be right in the middle of the Hutt formation.

Also, the battle of Raxus is taking place after this battle so if your character dies here or is captured then they will not be able to fight in the Raxus defense.

@Darasuum *facepalms* Wow, I'm bad at this. I'll fix that. And yeah, that's why the Hyperion is falling back.

@Interdictor I’m good with the above timing except with how your post is currently worded it wasn’t until after the bombers were destroyed that she targeted the carrier. So the only adjustment would be 2 and 3 swapped but otherwise it’s all good.

Also you’re good with needing to edit and such. No one is expected to know anything and everything or always agree.
