Oops, forgot that this isn't another dateline thing, sorry. Anyway, there's a story to my life, as with everyone. I had two parents, went to school, and lived life as I saw fit. The only thing I've picked up is that people really need to lighten up once in a while. We only have one life. Might as well have fun while it lasts.
I traveled a lot while I was younger. Met people, learned a bit, and experienced everything I could dream of. Not to mention getting drunk out of my mind. That happened quite a bit. More times than I can count, even if I could remember half of them. Let me tell you, the club scene on Tatooine is way different than the scene on Coruscant. The people are sleazier, the girls looser. Barely got out with my virginity intact--err, that didn't come out right.
There are so many different people out in the galaxy. Even when they don't see eye to eye, their views are amazing. Culture separates and brings people together. It is ingrained in their minds. Being able to go out and experience a bunch of them was the highlight of my early youth. Well, that and the first time I kissed a girl. Almost got myself into a shotgun wedding there. Luckily, I had a friend who owed me a favor.
I dabbled in a bit of everything back then. Weapons especially. I had a knack for picking up how to use the various weapons around the galaxy. Never had the chance to focus on anything, so I decided to try them all out. There eventually came a point where I was "good" with most weapons, but not "great" with any. But that's okay. I can hold my own with just about anything, and that versatility has saved my sorry ass more than once. Galaxy's a dangerous place sometimes.
When my wanderlust died down a bit I decided to try my luck as a soldier. I enlisted for the Alliance and showed them what the galaxy had shown me. Took a while, but they eventually made me a lieutenant under some blossoming flower of a tactician. He was a by the books kind of guy, and had no sense of humor. But he had this funny way of going beat red whenever I embarrassed him in front of the men... definitely the most entertaining commander I have ever had the chance to antagonize.
For whatever reason, someone took interest to me. I'm just a soldier, but they wanted me to be more. Whoever made that call had to of been drunk or something, because they made me High kriffing Commander. Who would have guessed? The entitlement that comes with the title is just great. I can basically do whatever I want without consequence as long as I don't break any laws. Still, that leaves me with enough leeway to mess with as many pompous dicks as I want without reprimand.
Well, that's a wrap on that topic. Life's what you make it. Live it big and keep regrets to a minimum. Trust me, you'll be much happier that way. Don't let silly things weigh you down. Settle down and let life take you for a spin.
