Personality
Due to his humble beginnings Kenjack had many things driven into him. Of course the first was to always look out for his family. Especially his little sister. Naturally the duty to protect her came to him. He didn't need that to be told to him. There is however one that he was taught that was part of his campaign promise. That was to be honest and as transparent as possible when it came to representing Bestine. Of course there will be some things that he cannot share with the general public and they will just have to settle with it until it is alright to release information. If the clearance ever comes around.
While he could have a personal body guard he felt that it will save the citizens of Bestine in regards to tax money if he kept himself armed. Basically be his own body guard. Besides he knows how to use a firearm so why not? So Kenjack keeps himself armed to protect himself. Naturally he hopes that nothing happens that will result in him having to use the firearm. To also save the citizens of Bestine tax money he buys his tickets for public transportation with his own money, not with the tax money that is provided that his predecessor abused.
Unlike his predecessor he isn't quick to jump to making obnoxious suggestions and what not. Instead he is calm and calculated. Going through all the options before speaking. Besides he doesn't want to do anything that will be an embarrassment for the citizens he is representing. He approaches everything as if he is running a business.
While he is calm and collected, maybe somewhat boring while working. Behind closed doors when he is with family Kenjack is the opposite by being energetic and a bit of a clown. He uses the opportunity to clown around with his siblings along with his neices and nephews to lower his stress levels.
History
Kenjack's beginnings were of a more humble one than that of the previous Bestine senator Tyris Thanewolf. He was the second born of the three children his parents will have. One older brother and a little sister. He and his siblings were always close. Granted the two boys would pull pranks on each other as well as their little sister but it was never to bully each other. It was surprising that their parents weren't driven mad by the pranks they would pull on each other or on the adults if the three children got bored. For sure there was never a dull moment.
Kenjack did attempt to join the military. However there was an accident during a training exercise that resulted in him having to leave. However Kenjack refused to have his leg replaced with a mechanical one. So he left the military and started work in the government after completing college for a business degree as well as another in political science. Well he more so did the political science for giggles more than anything. He never thought that it would actually be something he'd wind up doing for a living. While working Kenjack did personally see how poorly the senator had been doing as far as representing the citizens of Bestine. He had been for some time thinking of running against Tyris. It didn't become an actual plan however until his brother jokingly dared the young man to do it.
Steadily Kenjack climbed up the polls until it was only himself and Tyris left. During a debate the young man finally called out Tyris on everything. All of which were true. Before the debate was drawn to a close Kenjack asked Tyris, "Just where is the proof that you have been honestly representing us? If you call your little spat during your first ISC gathering honest representation than you are delusional. So tell us all. Where is the proof?" It proved to be a slam dunk for Kenjack as he saw himself getting the majority of the votes. He was a few hundred votes away from being unanimously voted to being the new representative of the planet. Therefore winning himself the opportunity to represent Bestine. This time see to it that it is all done right.
