Biography

Kato Tavish was born to an unspectacular set of parents on the unspectacular planet of Valc VII in the unspectacular Perinn Sector of the Outer Rim Territories. Deprived of any notable resources or any conventional sense of industry, the planet was deemed useful for little more than filling out the ranks of the Imperial Armed Forces. And as a bored youth adrift at the far reaches of Galactic civilization, this option suited young Kato all too well.

The flaws or shortcomings of his family were quickly forgotten, replaced with the stalwart coda of the Imperial Army. Finding himself assigned to an armor platoon, Kato soon adopted his fellow repulsorlift tank helmsmen as his new kith and ken. In their shared bonds of war, they found action across the hotbeds of the galaxy, dispensing Imperial order and justice at the end of their thermally ablative durasteel cannons.

In time, Tavish proved himself a reliable soldier and moreover, a capable leader. He soon found himself promoted to platoon leader at the head of eight repulsorlift tanks. The added pressure accompanying such responsibility was not altogether expected, a fact Kato combats through periodic indulgences in alcohol (and increasingly) spice.

Personality

Lieutenant Tavish is straightforward, blunt and above all, steadfast in his sense of duty. His allegiance to the Empire and his role within it defines his sense of self. He views himself less of a man and more an extension of that great Galactic cause.

Skills

Lieutenant Tavish, a decorated veteran with over three decades service in the Imperial Army, is a capable tactician and sound leader of men. As the head of an elite platoon consisting of eight repulsorlift tanks, Tavish’s expertise lies in his ability to plan, adapt and execute across a variety of challenging conditions. He has a working knowledge of ballistics and ordinance and is a keen shot with a blaster rifle.
