BIOGRAPHY
Kane spent his early childhood as a street urchin in the deep, choked streets of Nar Shaddaa. With no honor amongst thieves, everyone was fair game. Didn't have enough to survive after Kane nicked your credit chip? Too bad; such is life in the arm pit of the Smuggler's Moon. You either learn hard and fast, or you end up rotting, picked clean of all your belongings, behind a dumpster on a swoop track.
One day Kane nicked the wrong credit chip. Guy didn't seem like he had much on him but it was an easy pick. Turned out to be a Jedi Knight, one that seemed to appear afterwards when Kane least expected it. Lessons here and there, funneling Kane into directions and confrontations that forced him to look at the harm he did to others every time he partook in the wickedness of the streets.
Kane messed up, made some mistakes. Staring down the barrel of a blaster the only thing left for him were a fate he had given so many others or to be saved by the Jedi Knight. Took Kane a while to fully realize he what he had committed to, something his new master, Boros taught him in their very first lesson. While other padawans got training sabers, or their own lightsabers, Kane got a metal rod. "A lightsaber is deadly, a training saber less-than-lethal," he had told Kane, and then proceeded to whoop Kane around the sparring arena barehanded.
Over the years Kane earned his training saber, and then eventually his lightsaber. He learned the ways of the Force, though his master and he both knew his skillset lay in swordsmanship; something that he drilled with Boros until the day Boros was lost to the infections scourging the galaxy. Never even got to see his protégé get knighted.
