Composition and Appearance:
Kalo has fierce blue eyes, which at the same time can look calm and peaceful. Short sandy brown hair falls slightly over his lightly tanned face and ends just beyond his neck line. He has a muscular build, but he is also agile. He has a darker skin tone, that he gained from his mother, and he also has a kind face that looks out at the world. He stands about 5'11" and weighs aproximately 192 pounds.
Kalo is usually seen donning a beige tunic received from his grandfather, who was once a Jedi Knight. Also received from his grandfather was an elegant dark brown cloak, with a hood that is usually seen concealing his face with darkness. The tunic and cloak fit Kalo perfectly, as if his grandfather had intended to make them just for him. Wearing this surrounds him with many memories of his valiant grandfather, which strengthen him in times of need.
Personality: Kalo is a determined stout hearted warrior. His gentleness is known by many of his friends. He is willing to protect the innocent untill the force claims him. Kalo is a very prideful being similiar to his grandfather. At times he can get a little angry, but usually he is calm and peaceful. He is a very serious young man, but likes to have a good laugh or two with his friends. His courage and valiance is easily shown as well.
Likes and Dislikes: Kalo's favorite pastime is dueling his grandfather. He enjoyed spending long hours fighting his grandfather and toughning himself. As they fought, his grandfather told short stories that had an important point, that to this day Kalo still remembers. He loves his family, even though he knows he's not suppose to have such attachments. He loves his friends as well, and loves the Jedi Code. But he dislikes such things as the Sith and violence for absolute no reason, but he doesn't dislike much things.
Strengths and Weaknesses: He has strong combat skills and is intelligent. He also is usually calm and peaceful. But his weaknesses are that sometimes he gets angry and can't control himself and sometimes he is ignorant, and doesn't listen to orders or people who are just trying to help him. He also seems a little too interested in combat.
History:
Kalo grew up in a caring family. His father and mother loved and cherished him, providing him with loving support at whatever he did. He had a younger brother and sister, who he vowed to protect with his life. They gave back a bond of friendship and love. Everyone in his family would always be there for each other through good and bad. But another family member was Kalo's grandfather, Marius Visor. The two shared a greater bond than anyone else in Kalo's family. Kalo often spent months at a time at Marius's house, playing games, camping, hiking, adventuring, everything.
Marius was also once a Jedi though. When Kalo was 6, Marius discovered he was force sensitive. He quickly began to train him in the ways of the force, teaching him a little about the Jedi code and combat for years. His training got more intense when he was 13, and the two would use vibroswords to battle. The result was multiple cuts and bruises, but it taught Kalo how to stay strong, and never give up. Kalo had also endured many hand-to-hand injures as well.
Kalo went on tasks through the deserts of Tattoine, which was where he had grown up. His grandfather forced him to camp all alone sometimes, with all the supplies needed. He had some run-ins with Tuskens, but managed to save himself. The two also hiked and excerised together. Kalo was toughenend over the years with his grandfather. Marius's words made Kalo determined to be someone. His love made him determined to have a family. And his strength and actions made him determined to be a Jedi.
Marius told many tales to Kalo, that Kalo remembers by heart. He told tales of heroes and villains and wars. He told tales of the Visor family. He told tales about himself. Kalo learned that Marius was a valiant Jedi Knight who protected the innocent. That he had been through many close scrapes and had an exciting, adventurous life. But he began to embrace the powers of the dark side. It came to a point where he couldn't stand it and he was driven insane. He attacked his best friend, nearly killing him, before he realized his mistakes and just disappeared.
That's when he settled on Tattoine, and met the love of his life. He didn't speak much of his love, didn't even utter her name, but soon enough he started his family, and his love died. That's all he would say. He seemed heartbroken whenever he spoke of it, so that's why he never spoke of it again once he told it once to Kalo. But that was the end of the story. That was how he wound up training Kalo. He said he didn't have anymore of a story to write, and this was his last chapter. There were only a few more pages.
Marius told Kalo to make his own story, but now have it to turn out the way his did. To become a Jedi like he was destined to. To protect the galaxy and his loved ones. To never stray to the Dark Side. Then the day Kalo turned 18, he left to find a master and join the Jedi Order.
