He also wears long fitted pants with ankle boots.

PERSONALITY:
Kai has spent most of his life keeping to himself, but he's also quite inquisitive in nature. Curious about the world outside of his house--but never being allowed to go--has caused him to develop a bit of a rebellious personality as well, determined to create a will of his own. He's used to being more introverted, but he's making efforts to come out of his shell. His naivete is often misunderstood as a low intelligence, but he's simply sheltered.

BIOGRAPHY:
Kai comes from a family of very wealthy traders from Alderaan. Not long after his birth, the family crest was tattooed onto his wrist. They traded in a variety of things, wherever the money was at. He never had much of a hand in the trading as he was usually at the house with his mother and protocol droids that helped with caretaking. Kai was rarely allowed to go outside and was required to stay on the property. The reason for his parents' overprotectiveness is still unknown to him. Even as he entered adulthood, he was forbidden to leave.
Despite all of this, Kai was curious about the world and the galaxy outside of the boundaries of his home. He'd read about it, but he also wanted to experience it for himself. As usual, however, his parents forbade it. Frustrated, Kai decided to find other things to occupy his time and became drawn to engineering. In his early teenage years, he began to construct his own droid, a companion to keep him company. He decided to call it D-86.
As Kai continued to grow, he couldn't help but feel trapped in his current situation of being restricted to the house. His father owned two freighter ships, the smaller of which Kai was planning on using to escape. With D-86 assisting him with sneaking out to the hangar, they were still found out by Kai's parents. However, Kai had already prepared the ship for take-off before they were able to close off the hangar, and he was able to speed off into the galaxy with D-86.
Kai has no doubt that his parents will be looking for him, and have probably sent out plenty of notices and bounties to bring him back. He has no intention of returning, however. He doesn't at all miss his closed-off life. But, since he didn't take any of his family's fortunes with him, he needs to find other ways to make money and has been taking odd jobs between planets.

AFTER TIMESKIP:
In the last five years, Kai has been staying on Coruscant, taking on jobs of repairing ships and droids in the undercity, with D-86 there to assist him. With all that was happening within the galaxy, he received many clients who needed repairs. Despite his desire to explore more of the galaxy, his repair jobs have left him preoccupied.
Meanwhile, his parents back on Alderaan have doubled the credit reward for any bounty hunters that would bring Kai back to them. Although they are beginning to believe the worst, they have not given up.
