Kade's Reawakening

[Sir Dakar]

Xiantos flicked off the Holonews which was currently talking about the Dark lord Nefarius steeping down off his throne. The news said that they still did not know who exactly was taking his place, but the jedi already knew that. Darth Nexus now was sitting on that chair on Coruscant. Unfortunate for that kid truth be told, soon he would not enjoying being in his position. One thing still needed to be done concerning Nexus, and that was the recent battle with Kade Yi. It had been nearly a week since Kade arrived back from Felucia and Xiantos still had not visited his former apprentice. Well it was time to do so now. Kdde was being held in the med center for a week while the watched his recovery and to make sure nothing was wrong with him mentally from the battle.

Exciting his quarters Xiantos made his way to the Med center, passing several jedi on the way there, each of them bowing slightly in respect of their leader. That was getting annoying, but Xiantos simply accepted it, even in his position he could not change the ancient regulation no matter how it annoyed him. Arriving in the ward, he asked the suddenly standing and nervous clerk where Kade's room was. A thanks put Xiantos on the way to the man's room, and a knock presented him at his door awaiting for Kade's permission to enter.

 

[Kade]

It was a rather quiet morning, Kade had woken about an hour prior to this entire commotion. He sat in the well-lit room of the medical facility. He was wearing a sleeveless shirt and white pants. He slowly looked up to a small diagram. "Grandmaster Xiantos is here." he heard the womanly voice say. "let him in." He said, slowly standing, while looking over his small scars. He grabbed his small bottle of water, and took a single sip out of it.

"Hello Grandmaster." He said as he saw him, outside the door. He nodded his head in respect to him. "how are you today master?" He said as he looked over at his old robes, which were, bascially rags, very bloody rags. "They said I'm ready to go today, so I should be back at the order tonight."

 

[Sir Dakar]

"Excellent Kade, I see you have recovered well," Xiantos said as he gave a slight nod towards the scars visible around his former padawans collarbone, "considering where your injuries came from." He walked into the small room that was where Kade had been living in for the last week. Small but away from the troubles of the galaxy. Just looking around the room discretely to see what Kade was doing, he noticed several books and datapads strewn randomly about. Well at least he was keeping his wits together and his mind sharp.

Promptly Xiantos spun around with his hands clasped behind his back, and looked directly at Kade. "Well Kade I came to congratulate you on your victory over Darth Nexus. As a result of this battle you have earned my respect and the respect of other masters. If you continue on this path Kade, you may be in my position in due time." His voice started off emotionless, but a touch of praise crept in at the end.

 

[Kade]

"Excellent Kade, I see you have recovered well,"

Kade smiled softly as he looked up at his former master. "I want to get out there as quickly as I can, these wounds definatly wont stop me." He said with a smile, as he heard his master speak again.
"considering where your injuries came from."

"Honestly, I didn't know what would happen to me, it scared me -- I just hope that dosen't happen again, I'm not that lucky."

"Well Kade I came to congratulate you on your victory over Darth Nexus. As a result of this battle you have earned my respect and the respect of other masters. If you continue on this path Kade, you may be in my position in due time."

Kade looked over at his master. "Master, I do not desire your position, I wish only to remain in the order itself and serve an honorable level, and then die - hopefully at an old age." He said, smiling softly, he was just a boy, which - chances were he would remain like that in the eyes of the order and his master. "I just wish my old master was here." He said, slowly standing and walking to the window, looking out. "He could've done it, and felt no remorse - I didn't wish to kill him, yet part of me screamed for me to do it." He said, slowly turning to his master. "he was armed, and In one quick move, I finished him off."

He slowly sat down at the table, the lovely blue of his eyes had faded.

"Kade," Xiantos started, but paused before continuing, what he said here would probably effect Kade's life for the rest of his life.

"The argument within yourself is something that all jedi should go through in their life, your's just came at an earlier age then most. You had to choose between saving a life, the choice that most jedi have been breed to choose, or to remove a sith. Not just any sith but one that is powerful enough to pose a threat to the jedi order."

Xiantos picked up his head and looked straight into Kade's eyes before continuing. "I personally believe you made the right choice." Hopefully Kade would come to his own conclusion that sometimes you had to kill one man, so save the lives of many.
