Ubrikkia/Industrial railway line
17:22 local time

"Have you guys ever seen that holofilm about this really bigmouth pilot from Corellia that partnered up with a Wookiee to help this other gunslinger played by that other famous actor? Then they hop onto a a train to steal some precious cargo or something? This feels a lot like that." Sumas spoke into his commlink while behind the controls of his black and red XR-1200fp, flying through the night sky of Ubrikkia.

Their mission was simple. Get on the train, locate the car with very high end weaponry, steal said weaponry, then sabotage the train so it doesn't reach the facility it's meant to reach. The only issue was to stay undetected. With dozens of gangsters on board and groups standing ready in case something goes wrong, things can go very south if they take one wrong step. The fact that they also had to balance out on the side of the car with the ramp of the ship open to load everything in wasn't making it easier.

But who was he kidding? With the War Councilor of House Solus and a Supercommando of Clan Rau, how could things possibly go wrong for them? He was sure that this will be a walk in the park...

The railway had a lot of twists and turns to navigate through, but there was one enormous straight before the train had to pass through a tunnel that stretches for a decent length before emerging on the other side of a mountain range. Getting everything loaded in before that tunnel was crucial, otherwise they risk alerting the Hutt fighter squadrons. As Sumas got close to the last bend before the straight he dipped down below the elevated tracks and hovered in place. "Standing by for the arrival of the train." he spoke into his commlink. His armour and weapons were all ready to go in case he needed to repel attackers. His eyes moved between the ship's radar and the cockpit window above him to keep an eye out for the train's arrival. He knew that the other two comrades in arms knew the mission, and he knew he didn't need to remind them...but there was always room for trash talk. "Did you guys read the briefing or should I quickly print a pamphlet for you guys?" he asked with a wide grin behind his T-visor.

I don't think I've seen that one. Koil thought to himself without verbally giving any answer to Sumas. Checking his personav he moved the device to give a quick scan with his naked eye of the area that would be ahead of them when they got onto the train. If this whole thing did not work out they could just stop the train by force and then deal with the enemies. But that was far from Silent Badger's style.

"You take care of sabotaging the train. I'll get the weapons." He said keeping things on task with the train closing fast. In an ideal situation he would have the two of them go after each of the mission's objectives together instead of dividing. But that was the price of doing things when stealth, time and limited numbers were in play.

Silent Badger had a few of his marauders onboard his temporary ship. The Rockhopper class freighter was much more suited for this sort of thing with what Koil had in mind. A starfighter or even other freighters were not going to be ideal. With some crew members at the helm at all times his method of getting the cargo would go through before the guards onboard the train knew they had lost their materials. Plus it would provide him the means of a decent getaway soon after.

Sumas smirked at the order. "Sure thing." he said simply, looking down at the grenades on his belt as well as a block of welding putt beside his seat. He had a couple interesting ways to get the train off course. Grenades, welding putt, loosening a few screws, the possibilities were endless.

He sat in place, waiting for the train to come driving overhead. Finally the track started to rumble and the train suddenly raced along the track. He immediately sprung to action, accelerating the ship to match speed with the train. With the straight now ahead of them, they could get to work. Sumas accelerated to get to the head of the train, then engaged the autopilot to keep the ship in place. Maybe it might be worth it to hire a co-pilot...

With the ship in place He slid his helmet on and grabbed the bag of welding putt and moved to the side ramp, opening it with a flinch as the wind rocked him a bit. "Boss, I'm in position. Going to set the sabotage now." he radioed in before looking the situation over. There was probably a 5 meter space or so. Dangerously close. He drew a deep breath as he primed his jump boots. Standing on the edge of the ramp, he looked at the side of the car. "Kark it." he mumbled and jumped, igniting his boots to launch him a few meters ahead to land against the side of the car. He smacked into it with a loud thud and a groan, holding on for dear life to what seemed to be a ladder on the side. That makes things a lot easier than trying to balance on the small surface on the side for loading...

He moved lower and unclipped a grenade from the magnetic pad beside his holster. With a few presses of buttons he synced the grenade to the console on his wrist. The button flashed green simultaneously with his grenade, making him smile. He found a neat spot above the wheels that seemed to be right above the suspencion. Next was the welding putt. He worked a line of putt along the entire side of the car, around the wheels, then alongside the loading door to blow it all open and off. Off to the other side...

Sumas's ship pealed off as the train approached. He quickly made his way towards the front while Koil stayed in line with the cars that were holding the cargo he was focusing on. If the occupants of the train had not already noticed the two space craft flying abnormally close to the train they would soon.

The rockhopper soon matched the speed of the train and kept pace while it lowered. Hovering with just three meters distance they were the high speed equivalent of a hair's breath away. Koil's marauder pilot was skilled and was not going to endanger any of the troops onboard so he took great care to use his skills to keep the ship in proper placement.

Koil opened up the external cargo hatch. The wind howled and had his webbing shaking in the wind. The force of the wind whipping past his armored body and coming into the compartment. The ship lowered even closer and the three magnetic clamps locked onto the open topped train car with the large multi-ton weighing containers. Once they were locked in place Koil dropped down onto the train car. They needed to disengage the magnetic clamps and securing connections on the train car that normally kept the cargo from falling off or moving about. For now it was keeping them from pulling the cargo off the train.

Sumas scrammed sneakily over the top of the train to get to the other side. Things seemed to be going easily enough for this mission. He felt the train shudder as Koil's freighter locked onto the target car, but brushed it off. It felt just like a bump on the tracks. He doubted that anyone on the train actually felt it to the point that they would be concerned.

He got to work on planting the welding putt and explosives on the other side of the lead car. Once that was done he climbed back up the ladder to get back on his ship...a plan that went south quicker than he could blink.

His eyes went wide as he saw his own freighter wobble and drift off to the side, only to come right back a lot quicker. "Koil, hold on!" he shouted over the comms just as the ship slammed into the train. The blow sent Sumas rolling off the side, a step of the ladder being the only saving grace for the Zabrak. The hit was hard enough to almost derail the train at this speed, but luckily it bounced back and the freighter fell off to the side before exploding against a hill. Not even a second passed before every alarm on the train sounded off. "I'm not gonna hear the end of this..." he grumbled, finally regaining his hold on the ladder properly.

As if on queue a concealed hatch opened right beside him. A gangster peeked out only to receive a bolt through the head from Sumas. "Boss, they're onto us!" he called out over the commlink as he killed off a second guy peeking out of the hatch.

He heard his name and shot his head up to look towards the front of the train. The ship, belonging to Sumas curved and struck the side of the train before losing altitude. The impact shook the whole train and made the Echani stabilized himself by grabbing hold of anything within reach. Ahead he no long saw the zabrak's body on top of the train car where he had seen him before.

"Sumas!" He yelled hoping he had not been thrown over the side. He did not have jetboots or a jetpack. Hopefully he had been smart enough to activate his gription boots. But the Marauder's voice came back over the commlink to let him know the obvious. He would be angry at the Zabrak later.

For now he moved to rush towards the straps and containment straps. His quick draw blaster in hand fired at it, breaking the seals roughly leaving scorch marks on the container's exteriors. But before he was finished a blast bolt wizzed passed his head. A host of half a dozen individuals dressed appropriately and clearly wearing gription boots as well were carrying blaster rifles and side arms. Raising his bulwark shield it was struck twice, loosing its power as he moved to cover behind one of the crates. He just growled and pulled his second quick draw from its holster.

"Don't scream so loud, boss. You'll make me think there's a person under that helmet." he joked, scramming to get inside the train through the hatch. Now that they knew someone was after their stuff, the crew might not just sit idly by. Besides, taking out the engine compartment could make for some interesting stuff.

Inside the compartment there were a few individuals behind the controls, but Sumas didn't give them time to react as he drew his pistols and opened fire. He unloaded a couple shots into each member before twirling the guns around his trigger finger. With a swift motion he holstered both weapons and pulled a dead man off one of the consoles. "Hey, boss. Hold on tight. I'm going to give these guys a bumpy ride." he spoke over his commlink before starting to mess with the controls. He started to increase the speed far above the recommended number. She train began to shudder and rock along the track as it raced forward. He was cutting their time down but at the same time crashing at this speed would be catastrophic. Exactly what he wanted.

A shot from behind hit him square in the back. As he spun around and slumped down he drew his pistols and emptied the remaining shots into the crew member he missed. "Bloody gangsters." he grunted, struggling back to his feet. He quickly reloaded and fired another shot into the last guy for good measure. "Alright, boss. This thing is ready to go off the rails at any moment. You need help that side?" he asked, firing a few rounds into the consoles to keep someone from sabotaging his sabotage.

Sumas came over the commlink again, something about making it difficult on the gangsters. "You idiot you're making our window smaller!" He berated the Zabrak. The gangsters had gription boots so it was not like he was going to shake them from the train. Plus, the mandalorians' only remaining ship was also attached to he train so it's engines would be strained as the change in velocity was made. "Either stop the train or stop messing with the controls" He barked over the commlink.

"No" he answered in response to Sumas's question. He would be able to handle his current opposition. The thugs kept firing at the crate he was behind. The Zabrak would have to come back to this cart anyways if he wanted to get back on the ship. Otherwise he was going to be on the train when it crashed.

While Sumas either adjusted for his mistake or chose to run with it and come back to meet Koil, the Silent Badger would return fire with the enemies he was confronted with. He used a burst of his jetpack to go over his current cover instead of around it. It was risky for him to be using his jetpack considering the train was faster than his jetpack. He could not stay airborne for long or else he would lose momentum. Several trigger pulls latter and a few bodies on the train were stuck to the outside, lifeless but their gription boots still active.

Sumas wasn't fazed by Koil chewing him out at all. In the Zabrak's twisted mind, this was needed. But on the flip side he knew he might get a bolt to the brain if he wasn't careful. And while he couldn't shake the gangsters off the top of the train, the rest of them on the inside was a whole different story.

"Controls are gone, anyway, so messing with them won't be happening." he chimed in over the commlink as he exited and got back on top of the train. He quickly activated his gription boots and steadily made his way to Koil's position. A few blaster bolts zipped past him, but their aim was way off. Thankfully he wasn't the one they were aiming at. In the distance he could see Koil and the gangsters lobbing rounds back and forth. But a few meters from Sumas' point a hatch opened up and out crawled a few more men armed with blasters. With a sight Sumas drew his pistols and shot two in the back before they turned their guns on him. At least his aim was better than theirs and he quickly dispatched the rest. It was a rather morbid sight to see the poor fools flapping around like laundry in the wind.

"Boss, I'm coming up behind you. These thugs are getting sporty, we need to get out of here." he spoke up over the commlink. He closed the hatch and melted the lock shut with a small piece of welding putt he still had left. Soon enough he joined up with Koil. "How are things looking? The sabotage is set and this train is ready to fly." he explained, eyeing the mountain ahead of them. They had a minute or two left and that was about it.

Koil kept firing. He shot round after round into the enemies. There were more of them than he expected. He actually had to switch to his last two ammo cartridges by the time Sumas caught up to him. With the Zabrak there to distract the others he moved into action. "Shutup and keep them distracted." He said and moved towards the back end of the cart.

At that end he fired several times from each blaster. The result was the back half of the train slowing down behind them. Good, Koil carefully moved towards the front of the cart. "Get ready." He said over the commlink to the crew onboard the ship that still held onto the cargo as well as Sumas. At the front of the cart with bolts wizzing past his head he repeated the same actions as he did before. The rest of the train zoomed off in front of them taking all the goons with them.

"OYA OYA OYA!" The ship lifted, pulling the cart with it and pealing off from the tracks with its cargo. They changed direction and momentum. Koil swiftly grab ahold of anything he could. He rushed to holster his quickdraws again to return his hands to freedom and allowing him to stabalize himself since he was still outside the ship for the time being. "open up brothers." He said to the crew inside.

Sumas had no argument with Koil's command. So with a quick "Yessir!" he turned his guns on the approaching thugs. Bolts were exchanged along the length of the train between the Zabrak and the gangsters while Koil worked on Hooking up the car.

When he ordered to get ready, Sumas made sure his boots were magnetized. He kept up the suppressing fire while Koil shot off the links of the car. Unfortunately Sumas wasn't ready for that and quickly lost his balance as the ship took off, falling forward and stretching his calves a bit. "OW OW OW!" he cried out in a panic as he tried to grab hold onto anything to help him back up. At least one of the cables was there so that wasn't too much of an issue. He followed after Koil to board the ship, but he didn't immediately get on. "Hold on, one sec!" he called out and watched as the train neared the tunnel. He raised his right arm and tapped a button on his vambrace with a soft 'beep'. The result was the welding putt he placed igniting and melting the train off its chassis, while the grenades gave a little nudge.

The train flew off its rail and collided with the tunnel at full speed, causing an enormous explosion and bringing the cave system down on top of the rail. The shockwave gave the ship a slight shudder that the two could feel on the car underneath them. With a satisfied smile Sumas made his way towards the ship. "Alright now we can go. Open up, please!" he called out to the crew, banging on the door. As he walked inside, he hummed a tune as he made his way to the mess room.

Overall the mission didn't go too badly.
