THE DEMON MOON

Flashes of disaster painted a horrific nightmare Leon couldn't escape. He saw a transport. Everything was normal, a group of Padawan learners were being sent... somewhere... he couldn't remember, fuck his head hurt. The smell of fire aroused an urgency in his unconsciousness. There was intense rumbling, screams, and fear. Lots of fear, then pain, and..., he swallowed, death. His eyes came open and he gasped for breath as if he'd been holding it. Everything hurt. Leon managed to roll over onto his stomach and push himself up. He managed to get to his feet, this was the last time he let anyone else fly him anywhere.
The Padawan rolled his shoulders experimentally and found that while a little sore nothing was broken. He quickly checked the rest of his body and aside from a couple of cuts and scrapes, he was alright. He checked his gear to see what was left. His gun was missing, but Lionheart was still strapped to his hip. He had a few nutrition capsules, his comlink, and his grappling hook. The rest of his gear was gone. He took a moment to look around the wreckage he was surrounded by. He was struggling not to let his emotions overtake him. He needed to be at peace if he wanted to get out of this alive.
That's when he remembered the younglings. Panic blossomed forth and he sank into the force reaching out and grasping for any hint of their location... or survival. There should have been a couple of Knights on this expedition as well...
"Please..." he whispered to The Force as he nearly reached his limit. Then he had it. It was faint, but there. A beacon in the dark. Leon was off. He needed to get to that signature before it flickered out. Hopefully, the healing he'd learned would be enough to help.
