I was finished up with my set and gathering up my things, as I felt the awkward silence that filled the club. I was used to performing before drunken guests but this was a different kind of feeling. I didn’t know what to do next, as a person who didn’t believe in confrontation. I was afraid of what may happen. A few minutes have passed and nothing happened, as I went about my routine I went backstage where my belongings were in a locker. I opened it up and found a letter inside.

“When are you gonna wake up, Teltibin”? was all that the letter read. I didn’t know who had sent me this and how did they know my birth name. Everyone at this club calls me by my stage name. I was still so confused about it, but wadded up the letter and grabbed the rest of my things. The Hutt who runs this club awaited for me to sign out for the evening and pay me me my credits. “Your credits, dear”

”Thank you” I replied to him as I grabbed the credits and walked out of the the club. I didn’t want to walk home alone, especially after that creepy letter that I found in my locker. For the first time in my life, I was afraid. Afraid for my life. Being forced to take a side and being forced into slavery, all of that didn’t scare me. But this did.

As I walked out into the open alleyways I felt a cool breeze against my skin and face. I was alone, and scared. I had to tell myself that I would be okay. But something told me that I wasn’t alone, there was something or someone stalking me. And I can assure anyone in this entire galaxy that it was because I was valuable in anyway.

hey this is my first time Roleplaying my other character, Skyye some of you may know me as my Jedi character, Kegari but I wanted to try and Roleplay as Skyye for a while now. Anyone is welcome to join if they want.

 

[Dusty Desperado]

Dusty Desperado had been in the club, he was always searching for talent, mainly to see the status of the Hutts on this planet. After all, they were in such a decline that it was amazing the natives hadn't thrown them off-world yet. The former slave/current musician would applaud the performance, pay for his drinks, then leave.

Stepping outside, he was pull his hat on, one hand tracing the rainbow feather protruding from it. One hand fished around in his pocket for his pipe and his lighter, only to see one of the side doors open up and the performer step out. She looked worried, concerned. The Sector Ranger in him, screamed for him to investigate.. So he did.

"Excuse me, Skyye!" he'd shout out to her as he picked up into a quick jog. "The lady of the hour, what a wonderful job up there." he'd say with a friendly smile. She looked scared, nervous. His eyes would do some scanning around checking for any potential threats.

Startled, I turned around to find a mysterious man behind me. I wasn’t sure what his intentions were. So I treaded lightly, as I looked at him I couldn’t imagine I would have admirers that wanted to stalk me, but each day brought a new encounter.

“Why thank you, and what brings you here”? I asked the man who was apparently following me. I was still unsure of him or his intentions. Perhaps he was the one who had sent me the letter. No it couldn’t have been he doesn’t know my actual name.

The twi'lek was much taller in person then Dusty could tell from the stage and that became abundantly clear the closer he got. "Everything okay... Miss Sparkles?" he'd ask, inconspicuously flashing his Sector Ranger badge as he asked. From an outside observer, it would look like he was just adjusting his coat.

When he spoke again his voice was lowered. "You seem bothered.. And not, 'stopped by a cop out on the street' bothered."

I noticed that the man in question is a Sector Ranger as he gotten closer to me I saw his badge flashing as he moved. "Yes... I guess.... No actually everything isn't okay. I've gotten this mysterious letter in my locker and I'm not sure who it's from". I explained as handed him the wadded up piece of paper. Not even knowing whether or not to trust this person I handed him the paper hoping to get some kind of answer behind all of this.

That's why I was bothered, but not by this ranger's presence bothered unless he gives me a reason to be bothered. I was scared, but not by him. Perhaps that came with the territory being a beautiful Twi'lek with impeccable talent it was bound for me to encounter stalkers, admirerers, all kinds of people hitting on me, and the like. But that never stopped me from living this lifestyle, being a performer was what I was born to do.

Gloved hands would take the note as he looked it over and read the message. "Hmm... nothing like this has ever happened before?" He didn't question that her real name wasn't Skyye, it wasn't uncommon for performers to have a stage name. At this point, he'd stop walking. "Alrighty, I will take you home, radio this in, and try to get this note to a lab and see if they can pull anything."

There was a momentary pause as thought over some options. "Do you feel safe going home tonight? Or would you prefer protective custody?"

I thought about it for a moment as I looked down at my feet. “No, sir nothing like this”. I replied as I looked back up at the ranger. He seemed like he would investigate the mysterious letter.

“Oh and thank you for taking me home, I appreciate it”. I thanked the Ranger for helping me with this matter. Perhaps he sensed that I didn’t feel safe going home alone. “I’m okay, thank you anyway”. I thanked him for his offer to walk me home. I noticed that he didn't flinch that my real name is Teltibin. Not alot of people know my real name, which is why I was very shocked at the letter addressing me by my birth name.

The Governor of Vendaxa was out enjoying a night to himself off planet. He needed to do some r and r after a big meeting with the planet's mayors. Just a whole lot of political debates and what have you. Flauki came to this club that he had heard about through the grapevine and wanted to see if it lived up to it's name. So far he was highly disappointed. With the exception of one thing. The performer. Her voice was better than any of the drinks offered at the bar.

Noticing she was speaking to what seemed to be a ranger. It may have not been but, Flauki had his intuition saying otherwise. With a swiftness he went to see what may have been going on. Flauki's security would follow behind being a Trandoshan, and Quarren guarding the Governor of Vendaxa.

"Hello, I am Flauki.. is everything okay? Perhaps I could help with some of my resources, I am closely acquainted with some FWA administrators, I could get one of those Rangers out here to do police work."

Yes, he was ignoring the fact the ranger was already in front of him.

"Hmm.. Okay then." He'd say to her calmly. "Then we'll get you home, I'll make some calls and I'll try to get some eyes on you tonight, while I see if I can smoke out whoever sent this message."

He was going to say something else when a well dressed man and his retinue showed up. As they approached, Dusty would step between them and Skyye, one hand raised to stop them while the other was on his blaster. "Sir, I don't quite care who you are. You're going to need to back up." His sector Ranger badge would be visible.

Before anything else was said Skyye noticed another person that joined the ranger. She was not sure whether they were together or seperate but the entire ordeal made her worry. If someone was indeed stalking her, she had better head home. She looked at the other man "Yes sir, everything is just fine, he was just getting ready to take me home before you arrived" Skyye replied as she looked over to the ranger and then back at the other mysterious man. Did this person not know that Dusty was a Ranger or was he completely obllivious to the fact. Perhaps he was the one who had sent me the myserious letter.

"Flauki, do you, by any chance, know my real name"? I asked as I looked right into his eyes. Something was quite off about him but she couldn't figure out what. She contiuned to look around to see if anyone else was around but there was no one. Just her and the two men.

"You dare try to put your hands on me?"

The security would stand firmly behind Flauki ready to brutalize a Ranger in a lounge. As much as Flauki would have loved to see them break this man, it was not what he came to do. No he simply wanted to meet Skyye. So when she went to ask the simple question of whether he knew her actual name he would take a breath and smirk.

"Skyye Sparkles, formerly known as Teltibin. Sweetheart the only reason I know your name is because I have connections across the galaxy. I love getting to meet people with talent. I had a DEEDS check ran on you and got the return. Purely just luck I promise you. I was hoping to see if you would want to someone important some time soon? Perhaps you know him by his stage name.. Lil Klepti? He is a dear friend of mine.. so if interested.."

Flauki would pull out a contact information card with his name and number. Then hand it to the Twi'lek woman.

"Give me a call."

Then with a look of annoyance to the Ranger that was wearing something a Tusken Raider wouldn't even wear, he turned and began to leave the club. The night just got boring after hearing she was going home.

Lil Kelpti.... she was still unsure of this whole ordeal but this Flauki seemed legit. Like he really knew what he was talking about. Not that she ever questioned the ranger but this seemed like a valid reason to come stalk me outside of the club that she performed at. "Lil Klepti... you say. You know I think I've heard his name before on "Galaxy's Most Influential" so he's a good friend of yours?" I asked him. I pulled my hand out to retrieve the information card from Flauki.

I examined the card well now knowing that this Klepti performer has some kind of pull and if we were to ever meet up. This could ultimately be my big break. The break I've always dreamed of, ever since I was a young girl. "I'll make sure of it, Flauki" I reassured him that I would be giving him a call very soon. She then looked back at the ranger who had promised to escort her home as they Flauki was beginning to leave. "We should get going". I sighed as looked around at the dark alleyways and readied myself to leave and go home.

Dusty had no qualms dusting a Flauki and his guards. Especially since this guy already proved he was a creep by not only stalking the girl, but sneaking a note into the back room and then following her out onto the street. That was all the evidence Dusty would need to fulfill his personal checkbox of pulling the trigger. "Next time, don't send messages like a creep. There's a way to do it without giving a woman a heart attack."

Once the guy realized that being out on the street meant she was trying to get home and turned tail, Dusty would shift his gaze to Skyye. "We should. I'm still going to follow through on all this. Make sure you're in the clear. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if I left thinking the toolbag was the guy who left the note when he wasn't." After all, Flauki just knew here name, he didn't admit to breaking into her back room and planting the note.

Hand still resting on his blaster, he would continue to escort her home.

"It's okay, I'm fine". I replied as I looked at the ranger and then to Flauki. "And please don't. I'm not one for violence". I replied as I looked to the ranger with his hand on his blaster. Besides if this Flauki person is who he says he is and has connections to this Lil Klepti peformer I couldn't afford to lose him when he could be my ticket to super stardom. "Look I don't know who sent me the letter, it just scared me. And they could have no ill intentions either, but It's okay". I reassured the ranger as he began to walk me home.

I knew that this probably wasn't the last of it, and that they would end up in some kind of quarrel before I even get home. I held on to the hope that this wasn't the case. As I buried my head in the hoodie of my sweatjacket and held my breath.
