Jules is a young, athletic Morellian male yet to reach his physical prime, with a heavily tanned skin tone; he is generally ectomorphic in body-shape, tall and lean, with broad shoulders and long powerful limbs. He is rather handsome looking, with a slight ruggedness to him. His most striking feature however is his bright blue eyes, a family trait.
Well read and highly analytic, a fortunate side effect of his eidetic memory. His ability to remain calm and assess a situation thoroughly allows him to keep a cool head at all times, even through stressful, high pressure situations; his patience and calculating mind defines him in many ways, influencing even his way of fighting. He is accustomed to the great violence associated with battle and is rather nonchalant about it. He also has quite the thirst for knowledge, seeking it out wherever possible, it isn't unusual to find him in the archives conversing with others who are more intellectually inclined. This thirst does not stop at pursuits of the mind. His first love, after all, was the way of the Blade. Despite what many would consider prodigious prowess in swordplay, Jules believes he is not even close to truly mastering his weapon of choice. He is often raring to test his skills, always looking for opponents from whom he can glean new insight. Because of this, he can frequently be found training, be it alone or with others.
As a Law Bringer in the unknown regions His father’s life and therefore his family’s life was very Nomadic. His father was a force user as well as he and his five identical twin brothers. He lived with a blade from the time he could hold onto it and was given slug thrower pistols by the age of seven. In addition to his eidetic memory his ability to use both hands equally well allowed him to quickly outpace his brothers with the sword. His speed and accuracy with a pistol developed as he aged getting faster and faster. There came a day he learned to augment his natural physical abilities with the Force. He and his brothers all came into the realization and abilities at different times and with differing strengths. His father taught him as much about the force as weapons, and not only how to use it but when to use it. Jules found certain abilities easier than others, He eventually figured out for himself that no one is equal in their abilities, even as abilities differ between people they also differ within people. He was taught that force abilities fueled by strong emotion are only momentarily stronger but eat away your body and reduce your life span.
His father did not stint on training his children 5 to 6 hours a day was spent on learning and martial training. Jules would spend hours more every day improving his abilities, and would put into practical application the things he learned in books and archived data. He would on occasion go on jobs with his father. On one of those missions he saw his first man die. There came a day when a heated argument between his father and a judge lead Jules to begin asking questions. The resulting line of reasoning lead him down a path that finally forced his father to admit that he was a genetically altered clone. The only alteration to his genetic code is that he was guaranteed to be fertile. His father had explained that he was also likely to pass on his force sensitivity but that was natural.
Jules practices with sword and blaster every chance he gets. His forearms and wrists have become massively powerful from his constant sword play and pistol use. At age sixty five he had left to find his fortune taking with him an old medical droid and two slug throwers.
It was the droid that got him his first job on an outbound freighter they were going to a harsh planet where injuries were expected his payment was a used blaster pistol and a 36 inch vibro blade. They were collecting crystal for a holo net and data Storage Company. When they were jumped by pirates attempting to steal their cargo Jule's skills became evident. One had a blade through his throat and three others had taken .48 caliber slugs to the head before they knew how wrong their choice of victims had been. His share from the sale of the pirate ship and their equipment got Jules a paid lifetime access to the Data Storage Companies archives, as well as two Phrink vibro blades. Jobs came easily after that as Jules built a name for himself in the outer rim. Viewing and analyzing duels with light sabers became a focus.
Three years later he found an instructor to teach him how to use one. Finding one had been more difficult than he thought it would be since he didn't wish to get involved with either the Jedi or Sith.
The first time he used a light saber was a huge disappointment and valuable learning experience. The lack of weight surprised him and cost him the very tip of his left ear and some hair. Using holo vids from different masters helped then he would need to simply practice until he felt his use of that form was close enough he would then seek out his next instructor. Jules will easily admit that he is not a master of any of the traditional saber forms. He analyzes them then practices them but does not give the true dedication a master needs, rather he then takes what he likes and adapts it to his own unique style. He believes that it doesn't make sense to master only one or two and end up with glaring weaknesses, that other experienced swordsmen could exploit. Jules uses a vibro blade instead of a light sabre, most of his opponents as well as temporary instructors fail to expect such a high level of competence. This underestimation is usually due to the fact that his opponents see a 16 year old human not a 76 year old Morellian. Jules has never learned to build a light saber nor found or captured a light saber of his own so he always uses a borrowed or training saber during instruction with these instructors.
Jules own style is highly control based, spending a good majority of the battle manipulating the movements of his opponent, analyzing, and adapting to their style. He works deliberately and meticulously, taking care to identify and exploit any opening that presents itself. Efficiency is the key, not making any unnecessary movements whilst ensuring that any retaliations are as decisive as possible. He tends not to use acrobatics, during battle, only really using them to disengage. He can quite easily make an abrupt switch however, suddenly unleashing an overwhelming barrage of attacks should the opponent leave himself open to it.
Since joining the Pykes Jules had turned into quite the rogue completely forsaking his early upbringing. His father would be horrified to learn how terrible a pirate he had become. The list of deaths and accumulated ships he had collected was prodigious. The more work he has done the more he has learned how to incorporate the Force into his work. Each time something new comes up the more he adds to his repertoire.
It didn't take long for Jules to get noticed, his ability first drew others to him but it was his success at each hurdle that got him promoted first to Scoundrel then to Enforcer and eventually to Vanguard.
