Joint Jedi-BA military exercise?

I'm not sure if you guys peek in on the Republic subforum, but I brought up the idea of having a Cold Response style/size joint military exercise between the Jedi and the Border Alliance.

It would have a specific larger scenario, probably in the vein of a Sith invasion of the Republic, but the key points would be to get BA soldiers and Jedi used to working together, as well as the Jedi helping the regular grunts become more proficient in fighting Sith.

Now, I know the Republic Senate is discussing the relations with the Jedi, but take into account that the BA is known to act without say so from the Senate, and a military exercise with the Jedi would probably be one of their lesser infractions lately.

Anyway, let me know if anyone is interested. :D

About the exercise;
Readiness Exercise Defiance, also known as RED Response, was a joint Border Alliance-Jedi military exercise. It encompassed roughly 2500 BA soldiers and an estimated 500 Jedi Knights. The intentions of the exercise was to prepare BA soldiers for fighting a war against the Sith, and with help from the Jedi, to develop tactics for doing the same.

The exercise operated under the scenario of the Republic facing an invasion from the fictional Aldr Empire, supposedly inhabited and ruled by Dark Side Force users.

A majority of the exercise took place at Special Forces Training Camp Galena, on the Border Alliance world of ????

I would love to partake in this with Cassandra, but more in the diplomatic and strategic part of things -- less in the actiony part. However, I do believe (and I might be wrong, since I'm fairly new to this site) you would need to get permission from both Faction Leaders to do a big operation such as this.

I'm going to keep all discussion in the Republic thread (linked in the OP) to keep things streamlined, but I have an idea for s schedule up there. There are a few classes I think Cassandra surely could help out with. :D

I'm a little hesitant here mostly because I just don't see why we would work together we have not really met.

Well, the Jedi still live inside the Republic, and it's not like either organization doesn''t know of the other's existance. To say that some high ranking BA officers and sone high ranking Jedi got together and said, "Listen, guys, we should try this, because I think we could all benefit from the experience", isn't really a stretch in the realm of possibilities, imho.

That, of course, is in regard to thf "nerfed" considerably smaller exercise than I had originally planned for. I think right now it's an exercise involving maybe twenty "students" and half that amount of instructors.

I'm a little hesitant here mostly because I just don't see why we would work together we have not really met.

I do see our esteemed leader's point in this. At the same time, I feel that the Jedi would certainly know about the Border Alliance, even if not having met face-to-face. Perhaps one our generals thought that training the BA soldiers in combating force-sensitive Sith would be a good idea and contacted their leader(s)?

I would definitely be interested, provided it follows the correct channels. I would be willing to arm myself with a red training lightsaber and rush the BA lines.
