BIOGRAPHY


Jim McGuinn was born to Nick and Maureen McGuinn. His family worked in one of the massive factories that governed Coreillia. One day when Jim was four his mother was killed in a factory accident. From then on Nick McGuinn started on a downward spiral. When Jim was six Nick had become addicted to spice and abusive. As time went on Nick would come closer and closer to killing Jim during beatings. However there was one good thing in Jim’s life. He had a friend called Kilm, Kilm was around the same age as Jim and a runner for one of the many gangs on Coreillia. When Jim was sixteen Nick attacked Jim with a vibro knife during a spice fueled rage. At that point Jim made the decision to flee from home. For food shelter and most importantly credits Jim joined Kilm in his gang.


When Jim joined the gang he was given a vibro knife as well as a DH-7 pistol. He was given basic training on how to use them and sent off to deliver a package with Kilm. The package was a small create of spice, they had been tasked with bringing it to a small warehouse. As they walked towards the warehouse they were attacked by a group of vagabonds, clearly attempting to get the spice. Jim and Kilm knew that the spice was worth more than their lives. Jim drew his blaster and fired at the attackers, Kilm and drawn a vibro knife and was also fighting for his life. When the dust had settled Jim and Kilm were standing over five dead bodies. In that moment Jim felt a surge of power and control he had never felt before. Jim and Kilm finished their delivery, however Jim would never forget that moment. As the years went on Jim and Kilm moved on from running for the gang and started working as the gang’s enforcers. Over time Jim and Kilm would become as close as brothers and kill many of the gang’s rivals. During this time in Jim’s life he had honed his skills and could wield a vibro blade and blaster at the same time.


One day when Jim was 30 and Kilm was 31 they were tasked with collecting a ‘Merchant’s tax’ from a local shop. When Jim and Kilm arrived the shop’s doors were locked. Jim told Kilm to hang back as he kicked the door in, as Jim walked in and right as Kilm was going to join him… The shop exploded in a fiery blast. The previous shop owners had fled and left a surprise for the gangs. The blast had thrown Kilm back and burned through all of Jim’s clothing. For a few moments Jim was in complete and utter agony. While the fire burned his flesh the pain assaulted his mind. In a last ditch attempt at survival Jim stumbled out of the flames. His clothing was gone, burned to ash. His entire body was also covered in massive burns. Kilm grabbed him and took him to a safe house.



Over the next few months Kilm nursed Jim back to health with stolen bacta and other medical supplies. In the end the healing could only go so far. Jim’s entire body was permanently scarred with burns. The pain from the fire as well as the constant pain his burns provided started to eat away at Jim’s mind. When Jim was well enough to walk he started re training himself with a blaster and vibroblade. He found that he could no longer wield both a blade and a blaster, he could however wield two blasters. After Jim had been in the safe house for a year, a day arrived when Kilm had no returned for two weeks. Jim borrowed a shirt, pants, shoes, black cloak, and gloves from a vagabond that happened to be passing the entrance to the safe house. He then set out to find Kilm. Soon he discovered that Kilm was dead… His gang had killed him for stealing the bacta that he had used to heal Jim. He waited outside the Gang’s hideout and when two enforcers walked out and started towards a ally Jim followed them. He shot the first on in the back and when the second one turned around Jim blasted him the chest. He stole the beaked armor of the first enforcer and fled the planet to avoid any more trouble from the local gangs.

Appearance


When around other beings or in public Jim wears his beaked armor, and over that he also wears a black cloak. The cloak hides his vibro blade and two blasters. In addition he wears a large floppy black hat on his head. Jim walks fluidly, however due to his burns he occasionally flinches when touched or if he sits down. Despite this he is still well built, and can hold his own in a fight, until the pain causes him to falter. When he is not wearing his armor, his skin is burned and every inch of his body is covered in red and white burn scars. He is bald as well as lipless. The only thing still humen on his body are his dark blue eyes.

Attributes
Physical Strength: Physically Jim is well built and strong. He can hold his own in a fist fight, however his low pain tolerance is a large hinderance. He will usually go out of his way to avoid a physical confrontation. For example, he would use a vibro knife or a blaster instead of his fist.


Mental Strength: Intellectually Jim is perfectly average. His mental health is badly damaged due to the constant pain. This results in Jim making reckless decisions that put him in for more danger than need be. He is also very paranoid and can sometimes fly into fits of rage.


Pain Tolerance: Jim has a very low pain tolerance. He is already in constant never ending pain, and any more pain only makes it worse. It is bad enough that he occasionally flinches at sitting down or even receiving a handshake.

Personality
Jim is a loner, he does not enjoy working with others, and usually has trouble holding a regular conversation. He is also paranoid, and if something ‘doesn't feel right’ he will often take over the top safety measures. This is most common when he is breaching a building. Jim also dislikes wasting time and will do everything he can as soon as he can do it. When it comes to morals, at this point in his life Jim has none. When Jim flies into his rages he will often kill anyone who gives him even the slightest provocation. Despite all this and his trouble with others his main goal is to make credits, if needed Jim will work with others to finish a job, as long as he gets paid.

Can you tone down the bits about taking out an entire gang on his own, that is well beyond the abilities of a level 1 character.
