BIOGRAPHY

If the B’omarr monks are to be believed, Jerod Pelorat was born Tatooine. His parents’ story is something that they never divulged to him. Rather or not the monks knew what happened and didn’t tell him, or if they never caught the story, remains a mystery.

Regardless, the B’omarr monks raised young Jerod as an acolyte of their order. From a very early age, he dedicated himself to academic pursuits. That being said, the studies traditionally adopted by the B’omarr monks did not interest him. Instead, Jerod would spend most of his time reading deeply into the full scope of galactic history. It provided, for him an escape from his life trapped inside a dusty, ancient monastery. It also gave him plenty of time to speculate who his parents might have been.

At the age of 15, Jerod took on the duties of quartermaster, along with several other acolytes of the same age. In between his intellectual pursuits, he would be called upon to go into the nearest town to purchase supplies for the order. The boys, shielded from the outside world for so long, naturally indulged in the vices that Tatooine had to offer.

Vice aside, Jerod also took the time away from the monastery to seek wisdom on his own. Naturally, he read about the history of Tatooine, and over time, had marked points of historical interest that he would like to visit.

At the age of 18, he asked permission from the other monks to seek out the ruins of an ancient hut, once belonging to an old Jedi knight. In the pursuit of knowledge, his elders granted his request. Armed with digging tools, a datapad filled with ancient texts, and a speeder bike, Jerod set off into the desert.

After a few weeks of obsessive searching, Jerod found what he was looking for. The homestead was in the process of being consumed by the desert. The walls had collapsed in, and the interior had filled with sand. To the untrained eye, it was simply a homestead that was abandoned eons ago, but to Jerod, it was a conduit to illustrious antiquity. Being near the ruined homestead, Jerod felt a small sense of connectivity to the rest of the galaxy.

That glimmer of connectivity would change the course of Jerod’s life forever. Before, he was ready to the lifelong commitment of becoming a B’omarr monk, but now he felt an irresistible call from beyond Tatooine; a call to explore.

By 19, Jerod decided to leave the B’omarr order. In Mos Espa, he sought passage on whatever freighter would take him, to wherever they were going. By luck or providence, found himself on Chandrila. Wasting no time, Jerod enrolled in University. In order to make money, Jerod became an assistant to professors of history. His time as an assistant allowed him to preform research on exotic worlds, under the guide of masters. In between his research assignments, Jerod would spend time playing pazzak, drinking, and chasing women.

By age 24, Jerod had left Chandrila to begin his own personal research and archaeological work. He would hop across the galaxy, avoiding the war as best as possible, and visit as many exotic locales as he could. Jerod has visited Dantooine, in hope of finding the remains of old Jedi temples, to Nar Shadaa, to learn the ancient history of the Hutts, and even to Korriban, seeing the ancient Sith burial halls, but never entering. Each location awoken the feelings of connectivity, and each time it grew a little stronger.

PERSONALITY

Jerod Pelorat, above all, is an intellectual. He hungers for knowledge of the past, and for understanding of all the different belief systems in the galaxy. From the little he has learned, he has developed the calm demeanor of a wise, old Jedi. Jerod is also young, and lacks the temperance of a Jedi. He tends to drink, and womanize, when he isn’t in the middle of an intellectual pursuit.

GEAR

Apparel:
Jerod wears his old, red B’omarr robes as a hooded cloak, which has made more than a few people mistake him for a Jedi. Underneath that, he wears a white tunic, tan work pants, and knee-high black boots.

Equipment:

· Blaster Pistol

· Utility belt

· Backpack (normally filled with datapads, old books, relics, trinkets, and other odds and ends)

· Personal datapad.

Interesting character, though you may want to edit the bit about Coruscant, because that planet had been rendered a wasteland by the Sith ten years before the current time. The Sith Order occupies what's left of it
