Location: Wookiee Village of Pwokranno. Time: 12:00 Local Time

The situation was getting worse. Pwokranno was heavily effected by the mysterious plague that was spreading through the local villages. It was a deadly disease, and several had already been caught victim of its silent threat. The village of Pwokranno was usually vibrant with life, as they had no real enemies at the moment. Of course there would be the silly little nothing's that would pop up time and again, but there was nothing silly or little about what was happening here on Kashyyyk. Frazznir, the best Hunter of the village sat at his brother's bedside. The Chief of the village his brother Mallnor had also caught the disease and had been stuck in his bed for several days, and many feared he wouldn't awake. They were alone since no one else even dared to get near someone who was ill with a possibly contagious disease. But it was his brother, and Frazznir wouldn't leave his side until he was cured. Today was slightly different as Mallnor worked up the energy to tilt his head towards his brother.

In possibly the weakest Shyriiwook ever, he said "Brother, I am dying. We both know it. When I am gone, someone must lead them in this difficult time." Frazznir shook his head, they had had this conversation before, and his view had not changed on the matter. "Not this again, Mallnor. You are not dead yet, and until you take your last breath I will have hope. There will be a way, I just know it. Don't give up on yourself yet." Mallnor was too tired from his symptoms to argue. He simply leaned back and fell asleep. It was dangerous. He slipped in and out of consciousness constantly, and every time he did so they feared Will he open his eyes again? Many Wookiees hadn't opened their eyes again, a few of them Frazznir knew personally. Especially when his own daughter was ill. One of his three daughters, the younger one Eliisha had also caught the disease, and her young body was having trouble coping. He wished Bacca would guide him through this troubling time. His family was being torn apart, and if it weren't for optimistic thinking, he was sure they'd be doomed.

And no one was more optimistic than Rwoorikk. The young Wookiee was outside of the village with his brother Rwokazz. Rwoorikk had snuck away from his mother to collect some fruits for a homemade remedy for his sister Eliisha. "Rwoorikk, slow down! You need to stop for a second, By Bacca I swear you never get tired." Rwoorikk growled at him, a branch higher than his brother. Rwokazz had yet to make the jump. The older Wookiee jumped, claws outstretched to grasp the branch. Even though he was three years older than Rwoorikk, he could barely keep up with the over active furball. Rwoorikk also had a trick up his sleeve Rwokazz didn't, since he had the Force to aid him in his jumps, but he figured he was just a better jumper. "Come on, I can see it, it's not far!" They spoke in Shyriiwook, but it was hard to hear each other from the distance. Rwoorikk's target was on an adjacent tree, a purple flower growing from a branch, it was the last ingredient he needed for the
little stew he was planning. "Oh come on, even you can't make that big of a jump."

Rwoorikk wasn't listening, he was too busy getting ready to prove his brother wrong. True, it was a stretch, but he knew deep down he could make it. Taking a deep breath, he backed up on his perch, getting ready to leap. "Mom's gonna kill me if you die!" Rwoorikk smiled at the comment, and sprinted across the branch. He was a brown blur of fur and he sped across the branch, gathering his limbs into a long leap from branch to branch. He loved the feeling of the wind in his fur, flying gracefully across. However, his landing wasn't as graceful. He wasn't sure if it was Rwokazz's scream or his own that he heard when his foot missed the branch, but it didn't matter. His left foot missed, then his right foot, and now he was sure it was Rwokazz screaming. But instead of panicking, Rwoorikk dug his claws into the bark, saving himself from plummeting to the ground. His arms hurt from the strain, but he managed to get himself up onto the branch. There it was, the flower. Carefully plucking it from its perch on the tree, he wrapped the indigo flower in a cloth and placed it in his sack. He was very high up, so high that he could see through the tree canopy with ease. That was when he saw the shuttle.

"Brother! Brother look, it's a ship!" Rwoorikk yelled from his new perch on the opposite branch from his brother. "Do you think the merchant has returned with more goodies like last time?" Even with the distance Rwoorikk could tell his brother was rolling his eyes. "I highly doubt it, now let's get back before Mom kills us both!" Together, the two brothers made their way back to their home in the village of Pwokranno. There Rwoorikk's two healthy sisters played in the living area while he went to deliver the remedies to his mother Uliish, Frazznir's mate. "What did I tell you about going out on your own? Ugh, I don't know what I'm going to do with you, Rwoorikk, but thank you regardless for the stew. It'll make Eliisha feel better, at least temporarily. Now go play inside the village." Rwoorikk smiled at his mother and went out to walk with his brother, wondering who was on the shuttle. There was a landing pad attached to their village, so he was hoping it was the merchant, or any traveller who could show him more about the Galaxy he had never seen.

Jaleer was on a mission to heal the people wookies, after getting with another Jedi the two headed towards the forest planet the Wookies call home. The shuttle ride wasn't bad, though Jaleer wasn't a fan of space travel anyways, meditating the ride to the village, Jaleer was nervous this would be his second mission officially for the order. Jaleer hoped he would do a good job and prove to the order he was helpful, his embarrassing moment with the Grandmaster made him worried about his position within the order.

Never the less when Jaleer had landed on the planet Jaleer was ready to face the disease that was crippling the village. Jaleer was glad he knew how to heal with the force and hoped he could do everything within his power to heal the village. Jaleer wasn't a expert in diseases or science in general though he has a good amount of medicinal knowledge but it was limited thanks to his informal education, not knowing a lot of science and the fact he was incomplete in his medicinal training. Sadly his mother's early death made his training with her end short.

"Master, I am glad we are finally on the here, what should we do first." Jaleel asked being the first time he had a real conversation with the Jedi, Jaleer was wearing his brown cloak, his Jedi robes and his lightsaber was hidden within his robes, two metal spheres going in circles just above Jaleer's right hand.

The Jedi Council had called Jedi Knight Jade Evoyn, along with the Jedi padawan Jaleer Reukli to travel to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk. A strange plague was rampaging it's way through a few small villages on the planet, in particular the village of Pwokranno. The Jedi, both trained in the arts of healing, were to do everything in their power to provide aid and comfort to the locals, as well as discover the root of the illness and if able, remove it. But they were not alone either, Jade had seen fit to bring along her repurposed architect droid named Cyaneous, as well as her loyal companion Ku'uaki, a male [thread=61933]panthicore[/thread]. Together they would see what could be done in order to help the long time friends of the Jedi Order and end the unknown plague before it could spread to the rest of the planet or beyond.

Due to the Wookiee homeworld's location within Imperium borders Jade had seen fit to leave her own ship safely at one of the newly acquired Jedi Outposts, instead buying a ride aboard a standard galactic shuttle to reach their destination. Ku'uaki seemed to be resting toward the back of the shuttle, spread out to an impressive three and half meters, next to where padawan Jaleer sat meditating. Jade on the other hand sat upfront to afford the padawan space to meditate in peace while she poured over audio files of datapad entries on all known diseases and plagues that Wookiees were susceptible too and Cyaneous downloaded all know information on Wookiee anatomy, biology, and physiology.

The pantoran Jedi Knight could sense the dense forests of Kashyyyk moments before the shuttle left hyperspace, the planet was full of life, but Jade could sense something else. Fear had consumed much of the planet since the Imperium had taken control of it after the fall of the Republic. She had heard the stories just like any other, once more the Wookiees were bought and sold as slaves, sometimes even entire tribes had been taken seemingly overnight. Jade was well accustomed to the eerie peace that hung over abandoned towns and villages, [thread=60866]Nemeira[/thread] had more than its fair share of lost and forgotten locations. However, that planet did not know of the horrors of the sith in the same way as Kashyyyk, leaving the Jedi Knight concerned of what they would come to face on the planet.

As the shuttle landed, Jade stood, pulling the hood of her standard Jedi cloak over her head. She was wearing the same robes as always, but silver was not a good color for staying out of sight on a forest world such as the one they were about to walk out into. The village of Pwokranno had been their destination, the village wasn't hit the hardest by the plague, but the it was where the Force had guided her and she wasn't one to deny such things. Turning to the human padawan as he asked of their first step towards completing their goal, Jade replied in turn. "The Wookiee people are a tribal one, we should first seek out their chief or chieftess and present ourselves as healers and allies. The we will offer our aid and complete our mission." With that, Jade handed the datapad to Cyaneous who took it and began to follow her, as did Ku'uaki once he stretched, yawned, and scared the bantha dung out of the shuttle's pilot.

Making their way out of the shuttle, it wasn't long before they were stopped by large wookiees wearing traditional armor and wielding ordinat wooden staffs, ryyk blades, and bowcasters. Ku'uaki immediately began to growl and prepare to lunge as the wookiees leveled their weapons at the Jedi. Jade rose her hands, as did Cyaneous, Jade reached through the Force and grazed the panthicore's mind, claiming the powerful beast with her empathic abilities, urging him to stand down. With a simple nod to Jaleer, she ordered him to follow suit.

With the group submitting to the guards' inspection, the Wookiees growled in what Jade assumed was Shyriiwook, the most common dialect of the Kashyyyk natives. Turning to Cyaneous, Jade waited for the droid to translate the language. "Mistress Evoyn, they wish to know who you are and why you have come to Pwokranno." She turned to look in the eye of the Wookiee male who seemed to be in charge of the guards, before lowering her hands and bowing in a sign of respect and humility.

Standing again, as the guards lowered their weapons, Jade spoke, hoping at least most of them would be able to understand her. "My name is Jade Evoyn, I am a Jedi Healer, this here is my companion, padawan Jaleer Reukli. As I said we are healers and have come to offer your leader any aid we may provide in this troubling times of plague and sickness." With that, Jade awaited the response from the guard captain, as well as Cyaneous' translation. The wait didn't take very long and after a few greetings Jade followed the Wookiees further into the village, gesturing for Jaleer and Ku'uaki to follow.
