Location: Wookiee Village of Pwokranno. Time: 12:00 Local Time
The situation was getting worse. Pwokranno was heavily effected by the mysterious plague that was spreading through the local villages. It was a deadly disease, and several had already been caught victim of its silent threat. The village of Pwokranno was usually vibrant with life, as they had no real enemies at the moment. Of course there would be the silly little nothing's that would pop up time and again, but there was nothing silly or little about what was happening here on Kashyyyk. Frazznir, the best Hunter of the village sat at his brother's bedside. The Chief of the village his brother Mallnor had also caught the disease and had been stuck in his bed for several days, and many feared he wouldn't awake. They were alone since no one else even dared to get near someone who was ill with a possibly contagious disease. But it was his brother, and Frazznir wouldn't leave his side until he was cured. Today was slightly different as Mallnor worked up the energy to tilt his head towards his brother.
In possibly the weakest Shyriiwook ever, he said "Brother, I am dying. We both know it. When I am gone, someone must lead them in this difficult time." Frazznir shook his head, they had had this conversation before, and his view had not changed on the matter. "Not this again, Mallnor. You are not dead yet, and until you take your last breath I will have hope. There will be a way, I just know it. Don't give up on yourself yet." Mallnor was too tired from his symptoms to argue. He simply leaned back and fell asleep. It was dangerous. He slipped in and out of consciousness constantly, and every time he did so they feared Will he open his eyes again? Many Wookiees hadn't opened their eyes again, a few of them Frazznir knew personally. Especially when his own daughter was ill. One of his three daughters, the younger one Eliisha had also caught the disease, and her young body was having trouble coping. He wished Bacca would guide him through this troubling time. His family was being torn apart, and if it weren't for optimistic thinking, he was sure they'd be doomed.
And no one was more optimistic than Rwoorikk. The young Wookiee was outside of the village with his brother Rwokazz. Rwoorikk had snuck away from his mother to collect some fruits for a homemade remedy for his sister Eliisha. "Rwoorikk, slow down! You need to stop for a second, By Bacca I swear you never get tired." Rwoorikk growled at him, a branch higher than his brother. Rwokazz had yet to make the jump. The older Wookiee jumped, claws outstretched to grasp the branch. Even though he was three years older than Rwoorikk, he could barely keep up with the over active furball. Rwoorikk also had a trick up his sleeve Rwokazz didn't, since he had the Force to aid him in his jumps, but he figured he was just a better jumper. "Come on, I can see it, it's not far!" They spoke in Shyriiwook, but it was hard to hear each other from the distance. Rwoorikk's target was on an adjacent tree, a purple flower growing from a branch, it was the last ingredient he needed for the
little stew he was planning. "Oh come on, even you can't make that big of a jump."
Rwoorikk wasn't listening, he was too busy getting ready to prove his brother wrong. True, it was a stretch, but he knew deep down he could make it. Taking a deep breath, he backed up on his perch, getting ready to leap. "Mom's gonna kill me if you die!" Rwoorikk smiled at the comment, and sprinted across the branch. He was a brown blur of fur and he sped across the branch, gathering his limbs into a long leap from branch to branch. He loved the feeling of the wind in his fur, flying gracefully across. However, his landing wasn't as graceful. He wasn't sure if it was Rwokazz's scream or his own that he heard when his foot missed the branch, but it didn't matter. His left foot missed, then his right foot, and now he was sure it was Rwokazz screaming. But instead of panicking, Rwoorikk dug his claws into the bark, saving himself from plummeting to the ground. His arms hurt from the strain, but he managed to get himself up onto the branch. There it was, the flower. Carefully plucking it from its perch on the tree, he wrapped the indigo flower in a cloth and placed it in his sack. He was very high up, so high that he could see through the tree canopy with ease. That was when he saw the shuttle.
"Brother! Brother look, it's a ship!" Rwoorikk yelled from his new perch on the opposite branch from his brother. "Do you think the merchant has returned with more goodies like last time?" Even with the distance Rwoorikk could tell his brother was rolling his eyes. "I highly doubt it, now let's get back before Mom kills us both!" Together, the two brothers made their way back to their home in the village of Pwokranno. There Rwoorikk's two healthy sisters played in the living area while he went to deliver the remedies to his mother Uliish, Frazznir's mate. "What did I tell you about going out on your own? Ugh, I don't know what I'm going to do with you, Rwoorikk, but thank you regardless for the stew. It'll make Eliisha feel better, at least temporarily. Now go play inside the village." Rwoorikk smiled at his mother and went out to walk with his brother, wondering who was on the shuttle. There was a landing pad attached to their village, so he was hoping it was the merchant, or any traveller who could show him more about the Galaxy he had never seen.
