BIOGRAPHY AND PERSONALITY:
Thalomin is a native of Honogr, homeworld to the Noghri and currently inside Sith Space but only a short jump from the Hutt border. He was born and raised on Honogr. His family was not particularly wealthly or skilled in any labor but they made their way in life. At the age of seventeen Thalomin joined the Honogr planetary guard. There he learned to fine tune his already impressive skills. He learned to kill and avoid being killed. He learned to use his strengths to track down his enemies and bring them in. Noghri have a very keen sense of smell and Thalomin boasts about being about to pick up a scent from five kilometers away. Thalomin began to specialize in search and rescue operations and wilderness survival when he was discovered by the Jedi.

Honogr is in a harsh part of space. The Noghri themselves aren't particularly trusting of outsiders, Kessel has long been a place for smuggling and slave labor, and the Hutts had been gaining power in the region and everyone knows what they are capable of. Thalomin was taken to the temple on Coruscant to be trained. It wasn't the first time he'd been of the planet, but it certainly was the farthest he'd ever been. Thalomin was not necessarily strong in the force and not particularly adept with a lightsaber. He barely had a mastery on simple force manipulation while some of those who'd come to the temple at the same time as his were proceeding on to Knighthood. Thalomin was intrigued by the Order and wanted to learn as much as he could and embrace their desire to serve and do good. Much of his time with the Jedi was spent learning to control his anger and learning the philosophies of the Jedi. He spent quite a bit of time learning Soresu. His ineptitude with a saber was frustrating as he was used to being an expert in combat. Over time he was about to train and improve in lightsaber combat but was still not as skilled as the best padawans.

After five years of training as a Padawan Thalomin was only slightly closer to becoming a Knight than when he had arrived. Coruscant fell at that time to the hand of the Sith. While some may have seen it as cowardice, Thalomin knew the only way to survive the invasion was to break ranks and flee. He quickly fled the Temple as it was sure to be one of the Sith's main targets and stole the first spaceship he could find. He wasn't an accomplished pilot but in dire straights he was able to summon the skills needed to escape the planet and jump to hyperspace. His failures amongst the Jedi, and the Jedi’s failures as an Order led him to return to Honogr instead of searching out the Jedi elsewhere. He knew where several of the other temples were and kept tabs on the planets but decided against returning to the Jedi until the Sith invasions died down. Instead he sold the larger transporter vessel he'd stolen on Coruscant and instead bought an ancient vessel with stealth capabilities and the ability to transport goods and people. With the creds he’d saved up while working as a guard he was able to buy some weapons and begin taking small transport jobs and occasional bounty hunting mission.

The Jedi had instilled in him a sense of duty and justice. The Jedi code was ingrained in his head and heart. While the part of the galaxy he now patrolled was considered to be full of scum and scoundrels, Thalomin saw great promise in those around him. Their ingenuity and powerful command of businesses could be very beneficial to the galaxy. They simply needed the right leadership. Thalomin is a straight shooter and deception doesn’t come naturally to him. His arrogance leads him to believe that he will accomplish his task regardless of anything that stands in his way. If being honest will prevent him from completing his task, he'll find a different way to accomplish it. One of his mantras is, "When in doubt, reroute." If a mark is going to die, Thalomin doesn’t like sugar coating it. He does things clean and quick and as painless as possible. While others in the Hutt Cartel enjoy torture and take pride in it, Thalomin does not. His Jedi training has curbed his instinct to kill but Thalomin has done and will do what is necessary to survive in this harsh galaxy and protect those near to him.

With the destruction of Anoth, Thalomin lost his only contact within the Jedi Order. His training has been stunted and slow; but he remains committed to the values and principles he learned as a young adult. Thalomin is actively seeking out any Jedi through back channels and contacts established throughout the galaxy. He hopes to bring the unique training of the Jedi into his trade.

Working in and around Cartel Space will soon find you either in their graces or no longer in their space. Thalomin has been one of the lucky independents to please the local Hutts and not be seen as a threat to their operations but an asset. After eleven years of independent work Thalomin is now beginning to work up the rankings of the Hutt Cartel.
