Following up on the previous interest check for a Jedi sub-faction along the lines of the Revanchists, I am looking to do small plot to establish the group.

This plot will be a small one, beginning with the conclave on Jedha and leading up to a small gathering after the conclave where others interested in joining Jon might do so. Once everyone is gathered we will head to Kashyyyk to answer the call for aid from a friend of Jon's and defend a small Wookiee settlement from slavers. This will then lead to a final thread where the group will storm a nearby abandoned outpost that the slavers have been using as a staging station. This outpost will then serve as the first base for the group.

This plot will establish the group and obtain our first assets as we set up shop. I have more missions in mind after this plot is complete to further establish ourselves and gain more assets and influence to be better prepared to face the Exiles.

There is no cap on group membership, neither is there any restriction on who can join. If you have a Jedi then you are welcome. A primary goal of mine with this faction is to provide opportunities for characters to grow and establish themselves, possibly culminating with the establishment of a mini Council within the group and have characters grow to lead groups of their own.

This thread will serve as a sign up and general OOC discussion page for the group. If this gets enough support, I will create a Discord server so that we can coordinate plots/missions/etc. as we grow and expand. Let's go make the Jedi great again!

I know you can put Venatus down for the thread and Revanchists. Pretty sure the two tagged above will be joining us.

Thanks for showing interest guys! I got a plot approved to get a base of operations on Kashyyyk, taking baby steps to let things develops IC and starting with a base. Tagging folks who had shown interest.

1. What is going to happen in your plot?
My Jedi, Jon, will establish a base of operations on Kashyyyk and form a small group of allies to start operating with.

2. What other players will be a part of this?
@Nightfall096, @The Living Daylights, @Aurius Pheonix, @Kori Buor, @Autumn's Firefly, @Loco and others.

3. Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?
Jedha and Kashyyyk

4. Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.
  1. Shadow Conclave — At the funeral for two Councilors Jon decides it is time for him to take more proactive action in the fight against the Exiles.
  2. A Woodland Gathering — Receiving a call for help from a fellow Jedi, Jon heads to Kashyyyk and puts a call out to other Jedi he knows to meet him there. The group gathers, meets the Jedi and decides to help him on their own. Towards the end of the thread the Wookiee village they are at will be attacked by a group of slavers.
  3. Defenders — The group splits up into two teams, one team defending the village from the slavers and protecting the Wookiees.
  4. The Chase Sequence — The second team follows a group of slavers who are trying to run off with some children. They will give chase through the woods and try to stop the slavers and save the children.
  5. Avengers — The Jedi learn from one of the captured slavers that they are using a nearby abandoned outpost as a temporary base. All the Jedi infiltrate the base and will have to take out the slavers and free any captives held there.

5. What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?
To establish a base of operations on Kashyyyk and gather a group of Jedi to work with on future missions.

6. Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.
No canon NPCs required. I would like to use dice rolls to provide opposition in the threads to keep the threads moving quickly. The last thread can be DM'd if required.

Put me down for Chase Sequence. Slavers and I don't get along very well.

Color me intrigued. If it's not too late, I'd like to throw Jubei into this. Defending or Chasing, both sound fun.

Alright everyone, the next round of threads are up. Spread people into them as per preferences that had been mentioned here.

@Aurius Pheonix @Autumn's Firefly @TheMorrigan : The Chase Sequence

@Kori Buor @Kibagami @The Living Daylights : Defenders

@Nightfall096 I'll throw up the third thread shortly and we can start infiltrating the slaver's base. Modifying the last thread a little to speed things up.

EDIT: Please use dice rolls for the opposition, will also add that into the OPs.

For the dice rolls, are we DMing the opposition? I don't mind if that's the case, I'll clarify how me and Morri use the dice system below;
D20 for attack rolls, +2 for proficiency or proven practice (threads) with a weapon or certain skill. Heavy Armor has an AC of 16, Medium 14 and Light armor 12. Trandoshan AC will likely be a flat rate of 14-15, depending on what their difficulty level is @Wit. We will use the same HP we had in An Affair of Honor, and D8's for attack damage potential. If we have a DM then disregard this entirely.

Personally i think thats way too involved of a dice system. Usually people just do a d10 with 5+ being varying degrees of success and ~4 being varying degrees of failure.

Yeah, the way Arc mentioned is how I've normally used dice. But it's on you, the dice are free to use as we see fit. So whatever you find more fun I'm cool with. As for the slavers, you can consider them to be level 1s.

I understand where you could see that, but I find regular TRPG rules work nicely. Every single thing I mentioned above can be modified depending on RP performance, user preference. Plus I've seen a good deal of arguments about the d10 and death save throws, and that's something I'm trying to avoid like the plague. Plus the randomness of DnD with SWRP threads is an absolutely gorgeous combination. The RP will still always overrule the dice, just because you rolled higher than your opponent's AC doesn't mean you will deal damage, they can roleplay their way to avoid it. And the like.
