I really don't care. The master leading the mission has left for apparently serious reasons, taking his party with him, you don't need to undermine him, nor do you have anything to smooth over.

Well if you don't want to return (not only is it disobeying the precedent and disrespectful to the master) it was only really to get the other transport back, not to take it upon yourself to handle the diplomacy between the two factions.
