Jedi or Diplomat?

I have the biggest dilemma on my hands. Now that the new timeline has been laid out, I find myself conflicted. I don't know whether to throw my hat in with the Jedi, or with the Senate. I've already written a Jedi character, cause who doesn't love the Jedi Code, but now that I've had time to mull it over, being a part of the Senate might be a blast. Especially in written form, it leaves a lot of room for expression and emotion in a non-violent setting (most likely), instead of all the shooty-shooty swish-swish writing my Jedi character would usually encounter.

So, where do I go from here? Who gets my love? How am I supposed to decide, I'm just one man. One slightly over-dramatic man.

Ooh, that is a good suggestion. It would also fit well into the timeline. I'll definitely mull that over.

There's a lot of Jedi, and there's a lot of people in the Senate as well. So it's just a coin flip as to where I want my action, the battlefield or in debating.

With that suggestion, it might be debating.

I also had this same dilemma. I ended up going for the Jedi because I had a friend making a Jedi and we developed a background for our characters.
