"We're docking," Rorik explained over the ship-wide comms, "I've got clearance from the local tribe leader, Shyorshier, and I've been told to expect an ambassadorial committee." He hadn't interacted with his shipmate much during their journey, the two of them opting instead to spend time alone in their cabins, Rorik doing his best to center himself for the task at hand. What they were preparing to undertake was no easy feat; the Shadowlands of Kashyyyk were unparalleled in their danger, and even for two experienced warriors such as themselves, this mission would likely push them to their limits. As such, he sought to draw as much clout within the Force as he could beforehand, strengthening himself both mentally and physically.

Now, they were honing in, just about ready to undertake said mission. The Battle of Kashyyyk had done serious damage to the planet during the war, and, equally, unbalanced the Wookiee patriarchy. With a disproportionate number of adult male Wookiees slain in combat, training the newest generation of warriors was slow going - and the largest detractor currently inhibiting progress was the rise of the local katarn population. Vicious quadrupedal reptiles, equal in size to an average humanoid - or larger - the katarns were capable fighting machines, intent on invading Wookiee territory and carving out more lush hunting grounds for themselves. A group of younger Wookiees from multiple clans had united to hunt down and obliterate the katarns' nest in the Shadowlands, simultaneously saving their villages and earning their manhood - normally, this kind of inter-clan cooperation was a boon... however, the Wookiees were young and inexperienced, and it was likely that they would be seriously injured or even killed in their assault.

That was where Rorik and Roxton came in. Experienced combatants, the two men could provide aid to the Wookiees in their rite of passage - typically frowned upon, but currently allowed, given the longstanding alliance between Jedi and Wookiees, and their current tribulations - and see them through the process mostly unharmed.

Rorik eased back on the yoke, the ship's gyroscopic stabilizer leveling the freighter out as it came to a shuddering halt atop a carved out landing platform, jutting forth from a grand wroshyr tree. The ship hissed and steamed as Rorik powered down its primary systems and cut the engines entirely, rising from his seat on the bridge and resting the comm headset against the controls. Stepping out into the lounge behind the bridge, Rorik nodded at Roxton; "Ready to go?"
