Cerea/Decently sized village
14:08 local time

Cerea was peaceful, tranquil. They shunned pollution and technology, choosing to live in tight villages in an effort to keep pollution and development to the minimum in order to preserve the planet's nature and use it for agricultural purposes...and apparently they're all total junkies for hoarding special grass like nobody's business. So Sumas was not surprised at all when he touched down with the Meteor and was greeted with frowns and insults. He wouldn't be surprised if they were shot in the back of the head. Or clubbed. He doubted they had blasters or even slugthrowers on this backwater. But it was beautiful and Sumas couldn't help but draw in a deep breath of the crisp fresh air as he disembarked.

They were supposed to hash out an agreement with the village leader in order to have them supply Burkhart with Tecave grass in order to control the flow of the spice made of the stuff. It was a smart move. Could easily translate into some really nice credit numbers. But in case things went wrong Sumas was more than prepared for that. How they acquired the crops didn't matter. All that mattered was getting them...and if the locals didn't take the silver, they'd have to take the bolts.

The Meteor was landed, the SSR set on everything except the comms and scanners so his co-pilot could let him know if any ships arrived in the area. This stuff was valuable. He wouldn't be surprised if a gang of pirates arrived for a surprise visit. Likewise all his guns, gear and other effects were locked, loaded and ready. But he would keep his hands off his holster for now. Maybe the diplomatic approach would suffice today. He didn't want to end these people needlessly.

"So let's try the good approach first. These people not only know how to work the crops, but they're non-combatants. Only shoot in self defence." he instructed the wookiee companion beside him. He chuckled. "Look on the bright side. If we have to shoot, their heads provide a decent target at least." he quipped, letting some of that twisted humour through. These people couldn't be a bigger contrast to the Zabrak.

Shorwarr stretched some as they walked out of the ship, the Wookiee wearing his white Mandalorian armor, helmet under an arm. He put the translator he always carried with himself on his face, adjusted the straps and then turned it on so it would translate his roars into Basic for the Zabrak. He laughed softly at the remark and gave the fellow Mandalorian a strong pat on his back, maybe risking to knock him down. "Haha, yeah, you're right. But I agree, better if we don't shoot unless they decide to assault us. So, where now?" he asked, the translator's synthetic voice showing the alien's amusement.

Tagging alongside the two Mandalorians was Sunverkh Jhess, the Trandoshan bounty hunter, it wasn't the first time he worked alongside/for the Mandalorians, having fought alongside their leader once and having hunted down Aks-Ree for them.

It was, however, the first time he worked alongside a Wookiee, while the Trandoshan didn't care about the conflicts between their species, he was always wary around the furballs because they could give it more importance. But this was a Mandalorian in a mission so he guessed he didn't have to worry much.

Wearing his trusty armor and carrying his blaster pistols with him, the Trandoshan was more than prepared to fight in case it was necessary, which he was convinced the deal would come down to. But for now, the bounty hunter would simply accompany the Mandalorians in silence, just thinking about the task ahead.

Sumas wasn't all that comfortable with having a Trandoshan and Wookiee on the same mission. He knew they hated each other. He knew both were proud people. But there was nothing to be done over it. He would just have to keep an eye on the two and make sure they don't come to blows. Thankfully his gloves were fully charged if push came to shove.

As they walked he watched the locals through his T-visor. They looked ready swamp them for even walking here. He didn't blame them. With a loud, obnoxiously coloured warship and armed with enough weapons to level the entire village he wasn't surprised that the locals weren't exactly thrilled to have them. In fact, the only reason he was allowed to land here was because this was a business trip. Usually "outsiders" had to live in some strange citadels and cities closed off to contain the pollution and technology from ruining the planet. Ahead of them was the main hut of the chief who looked like he's seen way too many winters. Naturally he immediately thought that this guy must be one hell of a fighter to still be chief, but that was his people's ways. Not these people.

Sumas shifted his hands down to hang by his sides instead of resting on his pistols. Some locals had bows and spears handy in case these foreigners tried anything. He had to applaud them for at least having those, despite the fact that it won't even scratch his armour. He came to a halt a few meters away from the chief, standing tall and looking him dead in the eye. He would have used the chief's name...but he couldn't pronounce it to save his life. "Sir, thank you for your patience and allowing us onto these...beautiful lands of yours." the Zabrak said politely, deciding to remove his helmet out of respect to speak face to face. The chief didn't look impressed or flattered by any means. "And I would prefer to keep these lands beautiful, so I implore you state your business and get that ship of yours off these lands." he fired back flatly without skipping a beat.

He eyed Sumas, then his two companions. "So, what is this 'business' you wished to discuss?" he asked the group, his eyes scanning the three of them.

Shorwarr wondered why Sumas allowed the lizard to come with them, even though the Wookiee didn't mind much the Trandoshan's presence. He didn't trust him, and probably Sunverkh didn't either. But well, they were here for a job, so he had to not think about the conflict between their two species. He casually played a bit with his helmet as they walked in the village and as they met the Cerean chief, he looked at him. The Wookiee gave a salute and a respectful bow, and then answered to his question: "So, our chief got interested in the spice market, and he thought the Guilea kind is a good starter. He heard about your plantation, and so we've come to make a bargain, if you're willing to do one of course"

As they came to talk to the Chief, the lizard kept quiet, it was clear that they didn't want them there but the Mandalorians apparently had the orders to try and convince them to give them the plantation. Sunverkh knew how things usually went, no amount of credits they could offer would probably be enough to make them give up on their little spices, and even if they had enough, they probably wouldn't accept out of sheer stubbornness, the Wookiee said that they came to bargain, but they probably knew that they had no choice, hopefully the chief would realize that too.

Sunverkh, being just hired help and not a representative of the Mandalorians, would let the others talk to the chief, the lizard would simply look for potential threats and then stare at the chief behind his helmet. He didn't have to do much, not yet at least.

The chief's eyes shifted to stare down the Wookiee. "I figured as much. I can't think of another reason why you would come to our planet." he said flatly. He looked at the Trandoshan who was apparently a mute. Probably the only one of the three offworlders he actually liked, given his lack of an input. He looked back to the Zabrak with a sigh. "What do you have for us in return for our crops and services?" he asked them as if he read their minds. He knew they wouldn't want to work the crops unless forced to. This didn't look like a nice deal so far. "Credits, safety, probably assistance in new tools. We're willing to help out." Sumas explained casually.

"We don't need credits all that much, and we can take care of our own tools. What do we need safety for?" he asked Sumas and his companions. "Pirates, other gangs, major groups like the Sith. I can think of a couple of people that want a piece of this land of yours." Sumas fired right back. He had his orders, and he won't be failing them today. The chief eyed him then the Wookiee and Trandoshan for a good long while. "I assume we don't have a choice in the matter?" he asked. Sumas smirked. "Not exactly." he said casually as his left hand shifted to grip his Strill.

The villagers noticed this and tensed up. Some knocked arrows and some grabbed spears. Of course Shorr and Sunverkh would also catch on to this sudden escalation. The only one that didn't move a muscle was the chief who scanned the village before staring the Zabrak down. Sumas didn't flinch. If the chief refused he would be gunned down and he knew it. Finally he sighed. "Fine. You can get a portion of our crops and we'll work it for you as well. Now give me that contraption you offworlders like signing so much on." he said with a defeated voice.

Sumas looked over to his companions, hoping silently that one of them remembered to pack the datapad in...

Shorwarr initially gave a low growl as the Cereans around them pulled out their weapons, but then relaxed as the chief gave up. He searched in his armor and then fished out a datapad, turning it on and putting the deal on its screen, and handed it to Sumas. He briefly tapped the translator so it made him talk in Mando'a, and muttered: "Looks like I owe you a beer" he said. While they were landing on the planet, they had made a bet: if Sumas managed to convince the chief peacefully, Shorwarr would have to pay him and the Trandoshan a round of beers at the nearest cantina.

Well, the negotations were indeed short, not like Sunverkh would complain about it, this could have only gone two ways and this surely was the most favorable one for the villagers, the Trandoshan didn't have to do much, so far he just had a tight grip on his weapons when the situation escalated but not much else, this had to be one of the easiest jobs he had ever done so fast but it wasn't over yet, the chief could try and kill them as soon as he had the chance so the bounty hunter just stayed alert, trying to identify any potential dangers for him and the Mandalorians.

Sumas took the datapad and handed it to the chief. "Narir va o'er, Ni cuyir taylir gar at bic." he said casually in Mando'a, casting a quick glance at Shorwarr before looking back to the chief. "Mind telling me what your friend said?" he said as he read the document over. "He's just paranoid. Wookiees can get worked up easily." Sumas explained calmly, giving no hint of a lie.

The chief huffed and signed the document before handing Sumas back the datapad. Sumas gave it a quick read through before giving a satisfied nod. "Mister chief, it's been a pleasure. Thank you for your hospitality." he said happily and professionally as he slid his helmet back on. He cast a quick glance to his companions then bid the chief farewell.

He led the way back to the ship where he climbed in behind the controls. "I think that went fantastic. Shor, you owe us a drink! Sunverkh, you sticking around? I know this really nice cantina back on Nar Shaddaa." he called out over his shoulder as he fired up the ship...slightly deliberately turning it prematurely to cast a gust of ship fuel at the village. He didn't mind their way of life, only the fact that they really needed to get a grip.

He steered the ship out of the atmosphere and once clear they were off to Nar Shaddaa, regardless if the Wookiee and Trandoshan wanted to go or not...

Shorwarr chuckled softly as they took off, humming a soft tune as he put his helmet away, throwing a short glare at the Trandoshan. "Thankfully you didn't screw up everything, lizard" he said after turning the translator back to Basic. He then sat next to Sumas with a sigh. "Why did you take the Trandoshan with us again?" he asked him in Mando'a. "Let's just hope he doesn't ruin our fun on Nar Shaddaa..."
