Param could cry she was so relieve Kodi had come back. When the random shaking girl released her, Param backed up a step. She turned to Kodi when the girl had shuffled off, taking the drink. The bewilderment of the encounter never left her face as she grabbed him by the arm and dragged him out of the crowd and into a less occupied space on the edge of the dancing. Without even thinking what she was doing she wrapped the arm around herself, putting her back to him again as she swayed, continuing what had been so... weirdly interrupted.

"That was the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life," she said, taking a sip of the fizzy alcohol. It tasted sweet, and there was no burn. It was delicious. She downed the drink entirely. Alcohol wasn't new to her, but that particular brand just made it to her favorite. She held the empty glass for a while before just putting it on the ground next to them.

She continued her swaying against him, eyes pouring over the crowd with entertainment as they danced in every which way. Unknown her, a warm smile spread across her lips. Leaning to one side, she turned her eyes to Kodi. "By the way, I've never seen someone like you before. Where are you from?" Param realized then that she had been so focused on the holocron that she did all the answering and none of the questioning. Now that would be something to call her rude for, Kodi.

Kai sipped his drink slowly. He had no intention of getting sloshed around a Sith, not when they could use bullshit powers to sway his mind. Being drunk would only make everything that much easier. He was walking a dangerous line, and he had to make sure he didn’t piss her off. The Fiani kept swaying with her, his hand sliding along the side of her waist while he took sips of his drink.

She turned to face him, and he was up close and personal with gazing into her silver eyes. In turn, she would see his single, crimson eye gazing back at her. His one eye was often off-putting to others, but she was unfazed by it. He was branded a crook just by the eye patch alone. He always dreamed of getting a cybernetic one day, but it was well beyond his financial means now.

“Well, I’m a pretty special guy,” He said smoothly when she remarked she had never seen anyone like him before. He only grinned before he actually answered what she meant, “I was born right here on ‘Shadda,” He said as he finished his drink. Both his hands loosely grasped her hips as he looked down at her, “I’m a Fiani. I don’t see too many other Fiani, but we’re definitely out and about in the galaxy.”

Kai looked up briefly in time to spot a few drunk teens stumbling dangerously close to the shop in the distance where he hid the holocron. His heart began to thunder against his chest, but he tried to keep his cool. His tail began to twitch and his ears flattened. Kai shook himself out of it, focusing back on Param, “You don’t seem like what I hear most Sith are like, you know..” He mused aloud, “You had Dopp shitting bricks back there and I thought you’d run your saber through me by now,” Kai chuckled nervously.

Param couldn't decide if she hated or loved how smooth he was. Probably a bit of both if she were to be honest. She spent a good long time staring into his lone, crimson eye. She turned back to the crowd, pulling his arms tighter around her waist. His touch was warm. She couldn't put her finger on just why it felt so good, but she didn't need to know to enjoy the moment. Her head leaned back against his chest as she let out a contented sigh.

A Fiani. She'd never heard of them before, but she would definitely remember them from now on. If the whole species was as cute as Kodi, she'd be in trouble. No, Kodi wasn't just cute; he was adorable, sure, but he had a certain vibe that she couldn't quite put into words. She'd be lying if she said wasn't a turn on.

The Force wasn't needed at all to feel his heart practically pumping out of his chest. She looked up at him, just barely catching his ears springing to life and tail going back to rhythmic, happy swaying. Param found herself slightly concerned for him, a feeling that had her inner monologue screaming at her. Not like other Sith, indeed. She put the thoughts away.

"Dopp will survive, I think," she said with an amused smile. His mention of her saber sent a shiver up her spine. She'd tried to use it only once before after it taking it from her slaver's corpse; she almost severed her own head trying to practice echani martial arts with it. She mostly kept it around to remind her where she came from. "There's so much in the galaxy I haven't been able to see and experience. I have my moments, but it'd be a waste to kill everyone before I get to experience what they're like." She paused, lifting a hand to poke his cheek gently with a finger. "For the record, I'm really glad I didn't run you through." She winked, her smile widening into a giggle as her hand returned to his arm around her.

This girl was exceedingly good at holding his attention, far better than he ever cared to admit. He briefly forgot about the holocron as she spoke, his tail swishing as she touched his face. She was so close, and her eyes were so bright. Maybe it was just that one drink, or maybe he was just looking for excuses. He wanted to close that distance and just cut right past the smalltalk. It was Nar Shaddaa, everyone did whatever they wanted here.

Kai gave her a fanged grin, his tail shamelessly coming around to slide up the length of her leg, against her thigh, up to her hip to wrap around her to tug her a bit closer towards him. However, the hairs on the back of his neck began to rise. His eye flicked up past her and saw the idiot teens hunched over and inspecting under the stairs. They clearly spotted something and started to walk away. What the hell?! How did they know that was there! Did that infernal thing give off some sort of beacon everyone but Kai could sense?!

“Damn, that drink doesn’t agree with me,” He muttered quietly as he stepped back from Param with an apologetic smile, “I’ll be right back, okay? Don’t stop enjoying yourself on account of me!” He said, spinning her around to nudge her back towards the crowds that were still dancing.

Kai made a smooth exit, disappearing into the crowds towards the street. He did a remarkable job of blending in, propping up the hood of his jacket to make his ears less noticeable. He followed the teens, prepared to fight them for the holocron. He had retuned with the drinks earlier, so he knew the Sith wouldn't suspect anything until it was too late. This time, he had no intention of returning to Param.

Param was confused at first. Kodi looked fine a moment ago and then all of a sudden had to excuse himself. He was so close, and she was enjoying his touch and smile. The sudden departure gave her concern. After a minute or two, she'd realized she had forgotten all about the holocron. She reached out with the Force, but it was gone. More than that, she couldn't sense Kodi either. Her heart sank, and without even knowing what was happening she leaned against a nearby bar and sat down on one of the stools.

Did something happen? No, she'd be able to sense a spike in fear; she was pretty drained from her constant sensing and re-sensing of the holocron. There was a chance she would have missed it in the bliss she had been feeling up until then. She made her way around the food speeders, and then back down to Dopp's shop. There was no sign of him.

No, something didn't happen, the realization dawned on her. They'd been playing a game of cat and mouse over that holocron, and Param had thought she was the cat when she was really the mouse. The charming fiani boy she found herself fancying even now had definitely just played her. Dopp's shop was right in front of her; she could release all of her sadness and anger in it and no one would ever know.

You're not like other Sith, Kodi had said. He was right. Instead, for the first time in years all of her anger and sadness bubbled up into her eyes and streamed down her cheeks as she made her way back to the star port. She wanted nothing to do with Nar Shaddaa for a while.
