It's Getting Darker and Darker (CLOSED)

Coruscant was big. Big? No... Huge. The rich lived a good life in the upper quarters as the poor were doomed to stick in the lower part of the city. Tramps, thugs and other people crowded the streets below and there were many pubs and cantina's open all night. It was there, in one of those pubs, where a man was drinking his sorrows away. A man who called himself: Logan Bishop.

"Ah come on..." Bishop said. "Don't be a bore! Gimme another of ye corellian ale!"

The bartender realised that Bishop was getting drunk. Too drunk.

"Oh no." the Chiss bartender said. "You have had enough, mister Bishop."

"Damn you -!" Bishop said but he didn't finish his sentence. His head fell on the counter and a loud knock could be heard. Some people in the cantina started to laugh.

However, Bishop did not think it was funny. He had enough. His live as a mercenary began to tire him and he just could not take any more. He needed money, but all the money he made in his life was blood money. As he sat there on the stool, his head on the counter, being laughed at by other patrons, he thought about the past few days.

"Get out of my cantina!" the bartender said.

There was no response from Bishop, so the bartender called his Twi'lek guards and they kicked Bishop out. He walked through an alley way, drunk and tired. He collapsed and vomited.

He was alone, out of money, and he had nowhere to go...

Someone... he thought. Help me...

Back in the bar, a junior bartender noticed what was going on. He could feel the utter desperation coming off the drunken human as strongly as he could smell the stench of alcohol. The bouncers grabbed the human and began dragging him out, Good Riddance Kryte thought, he was bringing the whole vibe of the place down.

A few moments later, while Kryte was thinking back on the absurdity of the incident (he didn't even reply when told to leave!) he suddenly heard a voice in his head:
"Someone... Help me..."

"Hey, I'm out for the night okay?" Kryte shouted to his boss as he walked out the door. He might have been wasted out of his mind, but no one deserves to sleep lying drunk in a gutter... he thought. Kryte quickly walked down the nearby back alleys looking for the human.
Upon finding the same man lying in his vomit in the alley, Kryte took a shot of antidote out of his first aid kit, shot it into the humans arm, and propped him up against a wall so he was sitting up.

Bishop could feel how someone was injecting something in his arm and put him in a sitting position against the wall.

"Uh..." he managed to bring out. "What?"

He watched the man and saw he was a zeltron man. He was a young one and Bishop wondered why he was helping such a pathetic man as himself.

"Who... Who're you?"

"I'm Kryte, I work at the bar you were just in...
I just thought you could use some help."
Kryte said, crouching beside the human.
"And you are?"

"I... I suppose I should thank you for that. So... Thank you. My name is Logan Bishop."

He did not understand why a employee from the bar he got kicked out of would help him. He tried to smile but even smiling seemed hard for him.

"I guess not all those bartenders are jerks." he said, semi-joking, for he meant what he said.

"Ha, yeah, no problem. Well, to tell the truth, I usually tend nicer bars, if I had to kick people out on a daily basis... Well, I might be a jerk too. So... What's your story? Why am I finding you lying here after you get to drunk to walk at a crappy cantina?"

Kryte was bored, he'd left zeltros looking for adventure, and ended up tending bar in lower Coruscant. This guy seemed to be in a similar situation... Not knowing what he was going to do next at least.

"I'm a merc..." he said. "...Done a lot of ugly jobs, from taking bounties to escorting people. Visited a lot of bars and been drunk too many times. I smoke too much and I shoot first and ask questions later. That's me, I guess." he explained quickly. "And I just got out of some kind of crazy grenade battle where I almost got killed. I wanted to lay low for a while. I'm tired. I've been through a lot of mess and I went here to drink my sorrows away. A bad habit I guess..."

"So... What about you?"

"I see. I dunno, I'm a bartender I guess. I left home a couple years ago and have just been hopping from planet to planet just making enough to keep going by tending bar. And then I got here. I always wanted to come to Coruscant, but... It's not the glittering jewel the holovids make it out to be.
Ha, but I'm sure you already knew that... You were a merc? But you're done with that now? or just... Resting up a bit? "
Kryte asked.

"Suppose I still am a filthy merc." he said. He smiled faintly. "I just wanted to lay low for some time. Maybe I'll quit soon but I need money. I don't know what else to do to make money. I don't see myself working in a pub, or working in a shop. Not with my past as a mercenary, that is."

"I know what you mean", Kryte said, "I need to get out of this business, just like you don't want in. I make decent money, and fairly easily, but it's boring as hell." Kryte smiled, "You're good in a fight, I'm good with people, there's got to be a dozen different jobs we could find... I gather intel, you're there if things get ugly, you know?"

"Woa... Let me sober up first, please." Bishop said. He grinned. "But I agree."

He got up and shook his head. He looked aweful. His clothes were dirty and he smelled to alcohol. He checked if he still had his blasters and they were still in the holsters where they were supposed to be.

"I gotta wash up, though. I smell. I look horrible. I need some new clothes as well."

He looked around the alley. Hoping nobody had been overhearing their conversation. To Bishop it seemed like a good deal.

"Alright, fair enough. Let's meet somewhere later, give you a chance to clean up, I'll get some sleep.
Let's meet tomorrow somewhere, any ideas for a place?"

Kryte said, getting up, starting to pace in the alley.

"I know a hotel." he smiled. "Not this one, one in a big street up ahead. It's called: The Black Moon Hotel. Meet me there tomorrow. It's where I'll stay for the night."

He nodded to Kryte and raised a thumb.

Later that night he entered the hotel he mentioned and rented a room with the few credits he had left. Only enough for a simple room for one night.

As he stood in his room he undressed and got in his bed. He grabbed a cigarette and smoked. He thought over the odd scene ealier that night. He was actually doing business with a very young man, who he did not even know. He probably had to watch over the kid to ensure his savety. Bishop still had not forgotten his old lifestyle, in his pre-mercenary time...

He sighed. After he was done smoking he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

The next morning, he sat in the hall of the hotel, waiting for his new business partner. The young Zeltron with the name: Kryte.
Bishop was clean. He had clean clothes and he felt quite good. He was smoking another cigarette as he waited for Kryte to show up.

A new person

The Young boy Jokay-Akurn walked into the Black Moon Hotel seeking someone here who could train him, The only people that had ever done anything for him were a small band of Teras-Kasi That gaveh im the armor he was wearing today, He was already Force Sensitive and knew so, for the time he used a Vibro-Blade since he did not know how to use a Lightsaber and wore a cloak since it made him look more like a Jedi, The only reason he came here was in hope of finding a master.

After the human Bishop had left, Kryte kept pacing the alley for a while. Around a half-hour later, after he had time to digest the new situation, Kryte started walking to the motel he'd been staying in.

He told the clerk that it'd be his last night there, went to his room and gathered his things. Well... Certainly will be something new, Kryte thought. And I could use a break in routine.

He gathered his meager belongings, set his pack and clothes at the foot of the bed, and went to sleep.

The next morning, he got up, got dressed, put his pack on. The sparse apartment he'd been staying in had naught in the way of personal effects, just the survival gear he'd already packed. I'd better get a blaster. Or at least a slugthrower. I know I'm good with my hands, but I've never fought out of a bar, and this... this forebodes some action. he thought.

After picking up a cheap slugthrower nearby from a guy he knew from the cantina, Kryte made his way to the Black Moon Hotel, and stepped inside.

OOC: First of all, Jokay-Akurn, welcome to the swrp. Second, put up a character profile before you join any rp threads. Third, you cannot use a lightsaber, nor any force powers, without in-rp training or permission from an admin. Please make sure this all is in order before you post any more in any rp threads. Good luck ^^

IC:

Bishop noticed Kryte entering the hotel and he moved over to him.

"Morning." he said. "So, let's sit down somewhere to discuss our plans, shall we?"

"Yes, Let's."
Kryte said, wondering where they might be able to talk in private.
"I assume there's somewhere here we can talk discreetly?"

OOC: Fixed, Made acct and such

Jokay stared at the two men noticing that they both seemed quite.....odd. He didnt know what to do because one seemed to have a Jedi aura around him so he merely sat and watched hoping they might notice him.

OOC: Alright then, Jokay, it's fine now. Welcome in the thread ^^

IC:

"Sure thing." Bishop said to Kryte who had asked if they could talk discreetly. "I still have a room upstairs which I can use for another four standard hours. We could go there to talk."

Then Bishop's attention was drawn by something or rather... someone. He could still sense individuals who had a tight connection to the force. He looked to his left and saw a strange man wearing a jedi robe and a strange armor underneath. Bishop did not know who this man was and he could not tell if he was a trained force-user. Maybe this one was a jedi, or worse... a dark jedi? Even though the strange force-sensitive seemed very young, Bishop was still on-guard.

He looked back to Kryte and waited for a reply from the zeltron.

((OOC: This is an NPC I am using who works for an actual character I have, so I appreciate it if no one did something stupid and killed him like a fly. :D))

"You got to be kidding me! What do you mean they were arrested?!"

An angry human in a rather expensive suit said over a comnlink he was holding and happened to be in the area.

"Drunk and harassed a few Republic Officers?? They were supposed to be here hours ago and you are telling me they are now sitting in a cell waiting on bail?"

Waiting for a response, he received one several seconds later.

"Forget it, you can tell my Master Gorrbag that he will just find someone else to do the job."

Not waiting for a reply, the man hung up as he sighed heavily. The men he hired were now out of the picture due to their own stupidity, and if the job was not completed soon, Gorrbag would take the blame out on him. Surely there was someone here that he could fine to replace...
