Bespin

history-1_b45d9282.jpeg

11:30 Hours: Cloud City
The life zone of Bespin was brimming with activity, specifically on Cloud City, Bespin's oldest and most prestigious settlement. Numerous new gas mining ventures had recently opened up on the planet, and among them was a group wholly sympathetic to the GALAF movement.

The CEO of Exarch Industries, a Nemoidan named Kajj-Il Jel, was calmly waiting for her contacts to arrive in person, dressed in obscene amounts of finery for the occasion. It was clear she was here to impress...but for what reason remained to be revealed.

Surrounding her on Exarch's company landing platform was a small entourage of executives, most also Nemoidans, and a few heavily armored bodyguards. This was quite a vulnerable position for the venerable businesswoman, and she was sure to come prepared. For now though, she would wait; her contact had almost arrived.

The shuttle groaned against the stress of atmospheric re-entry as Kira descended towards the gas giant known as Bespin. Although Kira was an expert pilot and was undoubtedly able to pilot such a dilapidated vessel she was used to the control layout on her gunship which was currently parked in the Asylum in pieces after a skirmish. Eventually as Kira descended to the point where the air pressure normalized the shuttle's hull quit squeaking and began to cruise steadily towards Cloud City. She sighed and hit the button labeled 'autopilot' before walking back to the cabin leaving the shuttle to coast towards their destination.

Kira opened the storage container that housed her gear which incidentally just so happened to be next to House, one of GALAF's doctors and the only other occupant of the shuttle. Every time Kira saw the scrawny woman she couldn't help but feel sorry for her. She could hear her sometimes engaging in long heated conversations with no one in the middle of the night and often zoned out, the poor woman obviously had something torturing her. "So, you know anything about negotiating?" She asked, trying to start a conversation as she clipped her pistol to her belt.
