Watching as Aethon sorted through his thoughts trying to come to a decision, Adella waited silently, hopeful that her appeal had gotten through to him.

His reluctance was easily visible, but her spirits soared as he agreed to her suggestion for now. She accepted his terms with a minute nod and a relieved smile.

He was right, of course. At some point, they would have to sit down and have a long talk about all this. But she believed they both needed to recover from the shock of finding back to each other before such a talk would lead anywhere except back into heartache and grief. And she needed time to figure out a way to tell him what he needed to hear, without making him a target... or finding her peace with it somehow.

Slipping her unhurt hand into his, she looked up at him with a smile, feeling light as a feather. "Take me with you, Aethon. Anywhere, as long as it's with you."

Nodding back at Adella, the Mandalorian gripped her uninjured hand in his and led her out of the penthouse suite and the party using the side passages so they wouldn't be seen. His heart felt lighter knowing that she had chosen him over whatever was going on in her life. The truth was, after everything, Aethon needed the stability Adella brought into his life, a sense of consistency that he lacked being the restless warrior that he was.

As much as Aethon wanted to take Adella home with him, to catch up with her, kiss her, relax and be intimate, he knew they had to take care of her injured hand. First things first, Aethon took his lady to the nearest Med Center. It was a short trip and a shorter wait; luckily it seemed that there weren't a lot of people needing aid, so Aethon and Adella were able to get right in and see a doctor who cleaned out the glass from Adella's hand then soaked it in a tub of Bacta to heal the cuts. When they were done, they left the facility, Aethon flying to the space port where his ship was which would take them home.

Glancing at Adella, he smiled, "Hey, thank you. I don't know what I would have done if you hadn't left with me... I'm glad we can be together again. I... I really missed you. I can't wait to be back home. It just hasn't been the same since you left."

A few thin, pale lines were all that remained of the wounds on her left hand as Adella placed it on Aethon's arm. She smiled back at him. "This, right here. You and me. That's all that matters."

Resting her head on his shoulder as they neared the airport, she sighed contentedly. Perhaps they weren't quite out of the fire yet, but it sure felt good to be back where she belonged.
