Just for those of you who don't know, the Israel/Syrian conflict is being built up once more with shots fired by both sides. A lot of fingers are being pointed, and a lot of tension is building. Thought i'd share this to inform those of you who didn't know, and to hear thoughts on where this might head. I don't see it getting anywhere but worse personally, especially with Russia/China already backing Syria in the Civil War. Patrols are being increased, and several military compounds have been bombarded by Israeli troops across the border. Minor skirmishes and bombs have wounded several Israeli troops, which led to the major escalation over the last week and a half.

Just seems like another problem that will rise along with what is already going on with Syria, and it also adds up with Crimea/Ukraine.

Worlds fixing to go bad pretty fast.

It's only a time before North Korea picks a side.

Wouldn't surprise me. If things escalate overall, it's only a matter of time before a lot of sides are chosen, along with alliances. Only a matter of time before a lot of mistakes are made and a lot of people get hurt in other words.

"Syria is the epicenter of North Korean resurgence."

I hated Calderon, completely destroyed the economy of Guatemala, if it wasn't for President Isla Jiminez, his successor, the price of bananas would have skyrocketed

Still, they are wise words. With so many tensions in the world, we are all like a giant matchbox. It only needs someone to light the fuse. (MW3)

Let's not forget, that in a conflixt between Syria and Israel, the unsteady alliance with Pakistan will fall apart and then we have Pakistan, North Korea, and Syria all pointing their nukes at Israel. Soon thereafter the Cubans arrive via their Raft Navy and tincan submarines to lock the Israelis in an untenable position.

And then of course Iran sends its commercial airliners in to rain destruction upon the Kingdom of Heaven.

Lay off the Guatemalan stuff, it's offensive and disrespectful to those of us who've lived there. Inappropriate.

The thing is, Israel has dealt with a lot of crap over the years. My thoughts are they can handle themselves. The problem is, sometimes they handle themselves to well, and anger the wrong people. In this situation it could lead to large scale conflict. Just my opinion though.

Any way it goes though, people die, and it sucks in general.

...seriously? We're not exactly insulting Guatemala here. Go read the "WW3" thread and you'll see the context, where we also made up a former US president and probably presidents of other countries too.

Yeah, Israel has the technology and training/experience to steamroll any of her neighbors in a war.

I wouldn't be afraid of Syria causing too much damage what with the still heavy damage they caused to their own infrastructure through this civil war. What I'd be more afraid about is Lebanon joining the war by sending Hezbollah reinforcements. Those guys are both well trained and crazy/ruthless.
