Lillianne was prepared for the attack, having to drop into a defensive stance much sooner than his previous attacks. He was learning quickly, yet his methods brought a frown to her face. As the two blades met and he began to push her backwards, dust filling the air as she dug her heels in, stopping his momentum.
"If killing is your intention, then such a move is warranted, yet killing is not always the answer. True, when you draw your blade, you must be willing and ready to take a life. However, such an act is not always needed. It is best to wound or wear down your opponent, allow yourself plenty of time to reach them. Use the time while fighting to talk them down from their ways and lead them toward repentance."
She pushed him away with her blade and turned her back on him. It was apparent his former tutor had taught him battle and nothing more. It explained some of his beliefs and actions she had witnessed within the halls.
"'Redemption comes from the release of self, not the exaltation of self. It comes through compassion, not greed. One lone candle, representative of love, is enough to fight the darkness. Love is the answer to the darkness. Love can ignite the stars'," she quoted from the Proverbs of Ussej Padric Bac.
