Is there no body willing to take on a Jedi Padawan?

I've been trying to find someone to train my character. (I have been mostly pm'ing so not to spam the boards.)
I'm pretty shy, and that makes it difficult to get much progress besides asking around, but it's been a while and I've decided that I should probably just write a thread about it.

Is it undesirable to take on a Padawan? Are there simply not enough people that are willing? What's the deal? It's causing me to get pretty disheartened.

Hi there. What kind of training are you looking for exactly?

More the book and history lover, or the adventurer? Seeking fights or more of a story driven thread?

I was looking to bring back my Jedi Master and do something with him, so who knows maybe this can be that 'something'.

There are likely many people willing to take on a padawan, myself included, you may be getting denied because they simply dont feel that your character and theirs wont mesh well together. either way, if you could follow the format listed for this thread so people can see what you are looking for and see your character you will have a better chance of getting a master.

hope that helps!

Generally the master requests are geared more for specific training requests, as a faction we will always have more padawans than Masters who can take on new students. As stated in the training guidelines, there are other options for training, such as self training, classes or missions. As of having been accepted into the Order, you can start threads in the temple boards, leave them open so other members can join and then from there you can start networking with your character.

Padawans are also welcome to start classes of their own with approval from the Sage Master, or more effectively, you may offer a group training class in which other padawans can join too. Though I do highly suggest just to attend missions, either in the mission directory or create your own in order to gain experience, because training in the temples usually results in boredom and no one wants to commit to a boring thread. Though if no one responds to your request and you're really determined to have the 1/1 training, then you are welcome to PM Knights and Masters about training. Be specific though about what you want to train in also, everyone will learn the basics, but the specific training in the path you want to take your character is where it counts.

I am to hear you are having trouble finding a Master. What I can suggest, assuming you don't find one in this thread, is to try posting a thread in the Training requests.

But like Gaja said, what are you looking for in a Master? What type of person is your character? I don't think I'll be able to take them on because I have 2-ish already, but I'm plenty willing to try and help you out with finding one, or giving lessons in the mean time.

Well, my character is linked by the Natal chart in my siggy. I'd imagine that she would be a pacifist, and a completely force-oriented type of character. I also prefer more story oriented threads.
Also, my character would be more of an explorer rather than an adventurer. Lore-driven exploration would probably suit best.

I already have posted their twice. I appreciate the help, but that is part of why I was losing hope. I'd prefer someone with the above traits.

Once again. I'd already posted in that thread twice. Which was why I'd decided to make this thread.

Well my jedi, can be found here btw, is the former Battle Master of the Order. Sort of the complete opposite of what you seem to be looking for. In a perfect world the best match for her seems, to me at least, like the Sage Master or a jedi of that type, and not a lightsaber-jockey like. However if you like the match up we could give it a test thread and see how it goes.

Be warned though, I'm also the Hutt Cartel FL so my posting speed probably won't be too high.

I actually do like your character a lot. Could we discuss everything in a pm? :)
