What is going to happen in your plot? Deucalians are looking to extend their hegemony and set up colonies to expand. Rattatak is a world with a people that are similar enough to the Deucalians that they can be recruited and assimilated, and so their warriors meet with the most influential Rattataki warlords, who are called the Ghauls.

The offer is basically that Deucalians will provide them the means to partake in raids and sieges across the stars and reap the plunder that is gained, and in exchange, the Rattataki open its doors to the Deucalians and follow them in battle. The Rattataki are religiously violent (literally) but are a gladiatorial people, and want to see for themselves whether the Deucalians are worth following. Hence, a match is to be held between the Rattataki gladiators and some chosen Deucalian warriors.

They defeat the gladiators (killing or otherwise), they win the allegiances of Ghauls.

What other players will be a part of this? @Uhtred Wardruna, @Skuld Stark, @Morgan Arcas (if/when he gets approved), @Aeron Mathis (potentially) and @Gjun Greydraek (potentially)

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen. Thread One: Deucalians meet with the Ghauls and discuss an alliance. The Ghauls agree to it on the contingency that the Deucalians prove their battle prowess as superior by defeating the Rattataki Warblades (gladiator veterans). [SELF-DM]

LOL yeah, that seems prudent XD

I only meant hegemony as in a sphere of influence (ie, the Deucalians on Ando Prime as opposed to those scattered. I took a more Greco-approach to the term)

3. why are you calling the warlords ghauls? It's not that big of an issue, just confusing since it doesn't seem like anything more than something you are just making up on the spot.

Oh wow, blast from the (very recent lol) past!

1. Yeah, sure!
2. There's only one fighting thread, and it was going to be self-DM'd (otherwise it'd potentially become a six-player slugfest which can get messy)
3. That was just me trying to make them sound distinct, like why I called their gladiators "warblades" instead. We can just go with generic terms, this is just a habit of mine. We can just call em warlords or generals or what-have-you.

It doesn’t matter if there’s fighting or not. Even diplomatic threads can have a DM opposition, dice or self dm so it’s good to label it to have what you’re using.
