So I'm making this thread because this is an old idea I had and is one of the many old projects that I've wanted to return to for a while. Like pretty much 80% of my stories its a sci-fi set in deep space, and I've got a basic premise but I decided that instead of trying to make a story on my own, I'd turn to you guys. Not only would it help expand the unpredictability that I want the story to have the feel of and also it would make the process more enjoyable. Okay, here it is:
Several centuries before, Earth was a dystopic society, with plagues and pollution the norm of every country. The rich became poor, and the poor became poorer. But the world didn't end. The world rebounded, as it always has. Instead of looking to other planets to terraform, why not terraform our own? It was ale goths process, but soon humanity as a whole strived to reach perfection. Of course, perfection was a matter of opinion. Many had blamed religion for the world's problems, so what happened next was inevitable. They were slaughtered and the few survivors were faced with a new holocaust. So,e took up arms, others fled. The greatest flee however was in the form of the Ark, ironically stolen by a man named Noah Carter, Captain Carter stole the Ark, an experimental deep space craft with Lightspeed capabilities, and filled it with people of all religions and fled Earth. Never to be seen again. Now, several years later, Earth has expanded its terraforming process to Mars and Mercury, creating more space for their offspring. NASA has been regrouped for a revival, and it's first mission is to travel into deep space with an FTL engine to explore the unknown. However, the survivors of the Ark remain hidden, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
So, any thoughts, comments, concerns? Or if you just simply like it, let me know, lol.
