So, after making my first character and putzing about for a week or so I'd like to get some RP going on. Seeing as I went ahead and made a detective, I was thinking that a good place to start might be an old fashioned, troperiffic locked door murder mystery. Basically a bottle episode, except there's, you know, a dead dude. Think Clue, or the Adventure time on a train, or the Clue psych episode, or that doctor who with the freaky creepy knocking . . . you get the idea. The basic premise would be a couple of us on a passenger ship/transport/something of the sort going somewhere (open to suggestions where), lights go out, and Bam! Dead dude. (NPC, unless someone is really itching to die in the first 1/8 of the story.) Then we, as a group, try and suss out who the big bad murdering baddie is. One lucky person, obviously, gets to be the murderer, while the rest argue, insinuate, slowly start to hate everyone else, and throw blame around like rice at a bird-less wedding. Whether the bad guy escapes or gets whats coming in the end is totally up to them, but if you want to escape it better be in a bad-ass manner. Use the highly illogical and never useful run on top of a train as a guide. We will find out who did it, though. Far too shaggy dog otherwise.
I'm leaving most of the specifics open for now (who dies, why, what clues they leave, how we figure it out, etc etc) but there's oodles of opportunities for passengers if you're interested - upper class twit, totally obvious red herring, bickering couple, cassandra truth who no one pays attention to, or anything else you might have in mind. Wasn't sure how specific I had to be for an interest check, so like I said I'm leaving a lot open. Constructive criticism is more than welcome, and lemme know if you're interested! I'm thinking 5, 6 people would be best, but as high as 8 would probably work.
