It has recently come to my attention that the list of dedicated Jedi Healers is extremely few in number. While the Circle of Jedi Healers wasn't reinstated along with other aspects of the Old Jedi Order when the New Jedi Order was founded I see no point why the Jedi Order of today should be without one. It is for this reason I am pledging my time and effort to both encourage and teach the Jedi Healers of tomorrow.

latest

While my Jedi Healer is no master of the art, and she is just a Jedi Knight, she does have a grasp on some of the more unusual or uncommon healing abilities. I'm willing to offer one on one training threads for any and all Jedi, padawans to the councillors themselves should they feel they have something to learn. Even if you are not looking to become a dedicated Jedi Healer, having your Jedi know the basics of the Force Healing and/or Curato Salva, Life Sense, Force of Will, Revitalize, Crucitorn, Force Empathy, Detoxify Poison, Cleanse Mind and Cleanse, can and will prove useful in ways you can't realize.

A few of the listed abilities are not listed on Jade's profile, not because she is unable to use them, but because I don't plan on her using them or view them as more advanced uses of a more basic ability. I also see no reason to list an ability such as Cleanse on her profile simply because it's a form of meditation and would thusly be associated along with it, and in all honesty any Jedi would be able to use Cleanse to some degree. Nonetheless, if you have the desire to learn one of these abilities I am more then willing to have Jade teach your Jedi.

Keep in mind however, that the applications of many of these abilities isn't just useful when healing the injured or sick, developing and mastering an ability such as Force Empathy or Force of Will will prove useful in more ways then one. It is also unwise to assume a Jedi Healer would be a weak opponent (wink, wink sithies), a Jedi is a worthy adversary to begin with, but one that is capable of healing themselves and others or even just being able to revitalized an exhausted, wounded or, unconscious individual in the midst of combat could tip the scale of a battle or duel significantly. Not to mention being able to heal through the Force takes a high degree of control, sensory perception, and the ability to alter the world around a Jedi, which in turn showcases a Jedi's skill with the Force overall. Basically, in some small way mastery of one ability lends itself to the learning of another.

Lastly, if there are those interested in taking on a more support role, or interested in diversifying their Jedi's skillsets, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in potentially reinstating the Circle of Jedi Healers into the New Jedi Order. I've noticed that many Jedi, my own included, have mental and emotional trauma caused by various things such as the war against the sith. A lesser known aspect of Force Healing is the fact that it can be used to not only heal physical wounds, but emotional and mental ones as well.

All in all, if there is sufficient interest, I'd be more then willing to petition TAC bring to back the Circle of Jedi Healers. So if there are padawans seeking training, Jade is here to teach, if there are Knights seeking to refine their skills, Jade's ready to practice, if their are Masters seeking to teach, Jade is always ready to learn, and most importantly, if there are Jedi in need of healing, Jade is always ready to serve.

Oh I'd love for Shenzai to know a couple of these, though not entirely certain on him becoming a healer. Would be kind of funny though.

Learning to heal would prove useful for my padawan.

Great! :D I didn't even know Master Gil was skilled in this area. Either way I'm glad to have him on board.

Just so everyone knows, this isn't the sole project I'm working on so I'm not going to be able to get to everyone immediately, Raydo's help will surely help in this area though so don't worry. Depending on how fast I'm able to keep up with all my threads I have no problem starting more. For now I'm going to start off with three one-one-one training threads, first come first serve, Raydo may do as he sees fit.

Those looking to learn a specific ability or abilities let me know so I can come up with a scenario befitting that training thread. Feel free to ask to learn more than one ability at a time as well.

EDIT: Also keep in mind that these are not the only types of abilities I'm willing to teach, anything on Jade's profile is free game. I'm always willing to do a one-on-one training or sparring thread.

Okay, honestly? I would do a KILL for Kheera to become a member of that. I used to have Kheera as the leader of the circle of the Healers and I miss it on her, so badly. So this is something I wold love to grasp for Kheera and actually FIGHT for it. While Kheera is just a beginner in the Force, she would love to try stuff out. Right now I'm having a basic healing lesson with Kheera and a Jedi padawan named Jaleer, so it's a start.

@LilyNion I'm glad to hear that, I'd definitely be down for teaching Kheera the more advanced healing techniques when she's ready. If you have anything specific in mind let me know and we can work something out. As I've said above, I'm willing to teach more than just how to heal so if you have anything you want your padawan to know that Jade can teach just ask.

(huhuhu this new quoting system is so amazing.)

That would be amazing! It might take a little while before I get the first healing lesson done but oh well haha. It's an amazing idea that I have you / Jade! Thanks!

I would be interested in putting my Jedi Knight Piper in the circle. She has learned both Detoxify Poison and Cleanse mind, but is not yet adept in them. I would be interested in seeing her gain more healing abilities by learning them from those within the circle.

@Beta12 Cool, anything you want to learn in particular? Even if it's something Jade dosen't know we can do a thread where our Jedi find a holocron or something about the many uses of Force Healing, to be honest I should propally have Jade find such a holocron anyway.

I think it would be nice to have Piper learn things like Revitalize for example! So is this circle of healers official yet, or is it still being formed by the characters interested in it? I think it would be cool for Piper, Jade, and others interested to go on their own little quest to find a holocron with some instructions on force healing, which could be what the circle of healers bases their group around.

Oh! Undine! I have a question. I'm right now looking for a more.. non force healing lessons. So think about operating, using iv's, close off bleedings, bacta tanks and so on. I've noticed that alot of roleplaying Jedi healers only use the Force and rely on it. I want to break that path, so Kheera can work without Force when time's there. Do you perhaps know if Jade can help Kheera with that?

I second this question, I would be interested in Piper learning such things as well.

@Beta12 Works for me, so far I think we have enough people to actually form a group of healers. Jade, Piper, Hal, Raydo, and Uniwue (Yes I know Uniwue is still a padawan but he's probably on par with a Knight in this area) could form the core circle of healers and the padawans can be the healers in training. I'll talk to TAC about it before we actually form this group officially speaking.

@LilyNion @Beta12 Yes and no, if you want to then yes I could have Jade show you some things but it would revolve around basic first aid, Jade's not a surgeon. Now my rebel, Hira Senshino, is a galactically renowned surgeon and medical researcher, she's also a Force Sensitive healer as well, she'd be the one to teach the more textbook medicine as well as Revitalize, but Jade's more skilled in actually healing with the Force. Hira mainly uses her Force abilities to calm her patients and keep them from the brink of death rather than full on healing.

@Undine Hmmm interesting. Is it capable for our Jedi to come in contact with Hira? She's a Rebel, so I assume that it can become an issue?
