[Interest Check] ARMs Manufacturing (faction)

So if some of you don't already know @Nor'baal is now the FL for the Republic (congrats). Due to this, he essentially had to NPC Czerka. I am currently working on the creation of a new "Czerka" company and wanted to publicly see the interest levels of the mass. Now creating a faction takes time, but if enough interest is brought I will spend as much time as possible to finalize the write up and get this thing running :D

I will answer any question you guys may have before this is actually finished, but without further adieu...

Welcome to the Association of Republic and Mandolorian systems

In comparison to Czerka, ARMs is not a singular company but rather multiple companies of all sizes and influences working together to provide services throughout the entire galaxy. ARMs offer jobs for many peoples. From manufacturing, to escorting the products, or even being part of a development team. ARMs provides many great opportunities for its individuals.

ARMs was created as an attempt to create “fair business” across the entire galaxy. This plan of course has obstacles, which require serious efforts in order to protect said “fair business”. In actuality, the face of ARMs is false. Businesses are forced into agreements with ARMs in order to remain protected from the very danger that is threatening them.

The true colors of ARMs reveal its want for ruthless domination of the business industry; to create a monopoly that suffocates all competition. This powerful business operates similar to a mafia: if you obey the rules you live another day, but if you don’t obey….

OOC: The purpose of ARMs is to provide indie characters a unique faction where they may roleplay in a large variety of situations including, but not limited to: security of assets, negotiations with other factions, manufacturing products, developing new technology, and “broadcasting” intergalactic news.

Is it more than manufacturing? Like is it news and stuff too? If so, I may be interested.

It will run similar to Czerka. I would like to have different departments and one particular thing i would like to provide is a faction specific tech brand (all would be able to use its just under the ARMs name)

Mmm, okay. So a bit more manufacturing based then Czerka?

I would imagine so. If Czerka was modern day Microsoft,(just an example) then ARMs is DowJones. Its a collection of multiple different companies underneath one unified title. It would be very realistic for there to be anything (including News) and everything in some quantity. I just need interest in such departments and some way to create a IC purpose. You know the usual

IMO it sounds to loose and not focused enough and even a bit niche if I may say so. But if you manage to pull it of, then hey good for you.

I've got to agree with him. Right now you have pretty much nothing more then a title. You might want to throw out a general summary before you ask people for their opinions.

Also for the pole you might want to have an in between option.

Hmm. If you want this thing to succeed, it'll need to be more than "Like Czerks, but...". An identity of its own and a more varied structure to differentiate it.

I starts off with a "in comparison" but then further clarifies itself. On that note, I am still working on cleaning up this so I will try to further clarify with the remaining information as its written

Czerks was a large corporation with many branches that was pretty scummy.

Arms is a group of corporations that's pretty scummy.

Basically, I see the whole 'bunch of different groups' thing falling to the wayside once this gets under way. And there fine to an extent. But at that point, you're just Czerka again.

EDIT: It really doesn't help that you're making the big draw of this group that it's like Czerka. Like the poll explicitly says it's another czerka. And you allude to it multiple other times.

Why is there a distinction between Republic and Mandalorian systems? Mandalore is a member state of the Republic.

Also this is an association of those systems and the businesses on said systems (if that makes sense). Do you have a thought for a name to consider?

I specifically posted this (thread) to help the czerka people know that there will be a alternate place for their indie characters if they're interested. I know I wrote another "czerka" quite a few times, but that is because this will not be a pmc faction or anything of the sort; the closest thing to it is/was czerka (and maybe the hutt cartel but that's dead this timeline)

Then you can't really say you're not like Czerka if you're gonna bank so hard on former Czerka members.
