Instinctive Force Abilities?

Question: If a person knows that they are Force sensitive, but untrained, are there any abilities they could potentially teach themselves? Simple stuff, like a weak pull or push, sensing general emotions in people, things like that?

Debatable, possibly. They may instinctively do uncontrolled things when in danger. Such as a Gungan trying to hug you and you end up 'accidentally' pushing the Gungan off a really high cliff.

There are some documented cases of untrained force enhanced abilities. Anakin Skywalker had his Jedi-like reflexes that he used to pod race as well as an inate ubderstanding of mechanical things through the Force. A stormtrooper had a precognitive ability he called Blinking that helped him react to things a split second before they happened.

But general power stuff like push pull etc are usually either highly volatile emotional responses or dont happen without training

...What is with the raging Gungan hate going on lately?

Anyways, yeah that's what I figured. However, say a character does end up pushing someone off a cliff because of a strong emotional reaction and discovers they have that ability. Would it be impossible for them to teach themselves how to control it through lots of intense focus and meditation? I'm assuming the averge citizen of the galaxy has a basic idea of Jedi, sith and the force to at least know they are capable of moving things with their mind.

My species, the Snamreg, demonstrate enhanced "instinctual/survival" abilities. This is only the force sensitive ones, and it's exclusively passive abilities such as slightly better hearing, running, or any other skill that can be interpreted as "welp, they just got a knack for it."

Before Della knew what the Force was, she was electrocuted. This caused her go into a blind panic and return the electrocution to her captor. Sad stuff. :<
