What is going to happen in your plot?

The OE is going to try and take advantage of the chaos that the Mandalorian attacks have started in IR space. To do this they are going to infiltrate Taris through use of a mission pack and more subtle means to try and take the planet.

I believe that the OE would choose Taris for the following reasons:

Its close to the edge of all three territories. Its an easy jump out for raiders from our space to theirs. Its close so we could annex it eventually fairly quickly. I like the city angle. It has areas we can hit and take control of to put us basically in control of the planet before the IR can respond. Its closeness makes its easier to defend and easier to resupply from our space. Its a food planet. An army travels on its stomach. It will be a boon to be able to slowly take it over and both deny those foods to our enemies and give it to our troops.

What other players will be a part of this?

Various OE members

Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

Taris

Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

6 Threads
1. Ask(Dice/DM)- Discover the political rivals of the Imperial Governor and get their support for the OE by promising them positions of power once the planet is ours.
2. Ask(Dice/DM)-Make contact with some of the civilian groups sympathetic to the OE, assist them in starting an insurrection.
3. Open-PvP-Infiltrate a military base on Taris and slice into their communications, giving us control over their airwaves.
4. Open-PvP-Infiltrate the Taris underworld and make contact with the leader of the local scum. Make a deal, violent or otherwise, and get the underworld as allies for the OE.
5. Ask-(Dice/DM)-The kelp farms of Taris are experiencing some disruption with the harvest. Track down the farmers and help fix their issue, thus gaining the support of the common people.
6.Open-PvP-Attack the ambassadors mansion, one of the most vocal about resisting the OE, and kill him.

What does you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

We hope that this will be an infiltration of the planet that ends with it being taken by the OE. It strikes multiple points of interest, working at the civilian, government, communications, and underworlds levels to get control of the planet. Hopefully this is a means of gaining control without super huge battles, but still contains enough PvP elements to mitigate that.

Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

I do not believe so.

Hey there, @Narsi!

Loving the Old Empire action going on. Fingers crossed the Mandalorians don't muck things up?

As for the submission, the first thread stands in counter to the second. You want to persuade the planetary governor over safety and support, but in the next you want to directly undermine them by creating a revolt? Keep in mind this governor was appointed by the Imperial Republica, and I doubt via election. In other words, I'd replace this in favor of another.

They might very well muck everything up. But smaller factions sticking to the large empires is a part of star wars!

Anyways, 1st mission has been edited to be focused on political rivals of the governor rather than the actual governor. Hopefully that will be a sufficient substitute.

Great! Something else has come to my attention, however:

Your fifth thread. There's no reason the Imperial Republica should be controlled in a way that backfires against them, not unless it's done by actual members. While it's a neat idea, it shouldn't work in this case. You're better off disguising yourselves as Imperials to incite the riot. In addition, a riot is really open, to the point of Open PvP. You're welcome to switch it out with the fourth thread or come up with another idea.

That's all for now, @Narsi.

EDIT: Another thing, a public sign-up thread should be posted so opposition is properly warned. Just a thought.

Fifth thread has been replaced with something more appropriate, while still gaining some happy points for the OE from the people.

Also, no need to worry, this entire plot is intended for a very public mission pack with a very public sign up!

Gaining the popular support of the people! That's new, but I do like it. I do indeed.

Keep in mind your dice will be scrutinized, and if you turn to a third-party DM, the risk is as high as PvP. But without further ado:

Approved.
