Talak wasn't thrilled about being on Tatooine. A tiny little piece of trash backwater world with twin suns, no water, and horrible temperatures. It was like Korriban but worse. The Force didn't flow freely here like it did on Korriban, so it was just the worst parts of Korriban.
The two had taken a shuttle out here in lieu of their regular ships for additional speed. The shuttle was faster, but offered no place for either of them to sleep. Hopefully that meant they would get in and out. He couldn't get out of here quickly enough.
In other words, Talak was grumpy.
It was rumored that Darth Vader had once had a home here on Tatooine, but where and when was a mystery. For his part, Talak didn't really believe the rumors, but someone in the Guardians wanted it investigated. Ana had come out here with him - an actual member of the Guardians - to investigate the rumors, but thus far they had found nothing.
So, you're a Guardian, he said matter of factly as they walked through the dusty town of... Mos Telfa? If you could even call it a town. He didn't even know what exactly they were looking for out here, but the Force had yet to show them anything.
Does that mean that you're a Sith fangirl? he asked. He was under the impression that most of the Guardians were worshippers of the ancient Sith. Personally, Talak found them to be slightly misguided, but they had managed to do some impressive things with the dark side. @Painus
