I have been throwing this idea around in my head for quite some time, but I want to get the communities opinion, (and more importantly the role play overseers opinion).
As I see it, there is little or no real excuse for us to be role playing explorers, or charting out planets in the unknown reaches of space. (Because it is a suicidal task, without proper information, you could end up hyperspacing right through a star, or get lost in space.)
But do you think it would be acceptable for a character to accidentally end up in a canon, but at the same time; uncharted system?
Of course no name would be given to the planet, although oocly we'd know what planet said character was on and all, but after returning from that system there would be no official records of the system's location, as the ship that would be apart of this rp would have 'accidentally' ended up in this system, and therefore wouldn't know the proper location.
I thought it might introduce some interesting rp, but I would like to get some of the community's ideas.
